Christy and Dan, Thanks for the very informative and entertaining In the Hangar episode. Thanks to Rob, Scott and Matt for their insight and perspective into the inner workings of ATC and thanks to all ATC workers for keeping the rest of us out of each others way.
When should someone apply on USAJOBS, I have about a year and a half left on my military contract, should I apply on this years bid or wait till next year
some of the controllers back in the 60s were under paid before the strike. Many do not know what an aircraft looks like or does in flight. Job security is another thing. Get a stroke or heart attack, your gone for good. Who pays for your salary? No job has security any more. It will be fully automated in the years to come. Security?
Just put in my application.... manifesting and claiming that I will be chosen for the ATC role !
update?

Great interview Christy. Too late for me at 67 but would have been a great career.
hi....i'm Ricardo a former air traffic controller ( Radar Controller ) it's been nice hearing from you...!!!
You can tell which controllers are pilots. They seem to understand requests better....
Been in the hiring/applicant process for some months, curious to see what OKC has waiting for me...
I’m really trying to see when the applications will open back up 😩

Great interview
Tks Christy, so much interesting information.
Nice job, Christy. Lots of great info.
It's way too late for me, but I don't have the brainpower to multitask anyway, so it's just as well. 😂
