I've always had my previous builds on the left side of my desk. For that reason, I've never really had a fancy case. Having that option now without having to rerun all my cables is quite nice. I hope more case manufacturers offer cases with this feature in the future. Nice review!
I have been looking at the O11 XL for over a year now. The EVO and your recommendations have definitely given me pause though. The best part is that my PC does sit to my left so I won’t have to awkwardly place my hardware for it to be seen. I like your video format but as a gamer I definitely still want a section dedicated to gaming performance and thermals while under load. Thanks for all you do!
Just migrated my 5950x and 3080 FTW3 from a Corsair Carbide 275R to the O11 EVO and good lordt the change in idle and load temps by having a veritable wind tunnel has been significant - about a 20C drop on both, and my 3080 is well into 1960Mhz without throttling. It was super simple to build and I appreciated the fan sleds for festooning my AIO onto the side bracket.
Love this case. My build is in the mini, and I just did a build for my son in the white version of the evo. Being somewhat new to building, the space to work and versatility helped make it easy. Also looking forward to doing my 1st custom watercooling loop in this, again because of the space to work and lovely display qualities.
It is a great case. I have the O11 XL so that I can have 2 gpus and full water cooling. You should do a comparison with all of the cases in the o11 dynamic series.
Very nice review. I had great help with all the measurements on the case so that was great. What i would have loved to see is how and where you connect everything and how you fit all the cables behind the metal thingy...
Great video! Thinking of changing my case with this one and your video was of great help deciding. Ps: That N7 case in the background got you a new subscriber. ❤️🖤
While I’m not personally one to use risers for a gaming PC, I like the possibilities that open up with the EVO version. I also appreciate that you highlighted the fan/radiator capacity, as that’s one of the first things I look at as a watercooling enthusiast. What I’m really looking forward to is Lian Li’s V3000 Plus for some monster builds
Lian Li really does listen to their customer base. I built in an o11 after watching you. And used the video as reference as i put it together. I love the look of the upright gpu. Completely different than most. Keep up the good work.
Great breakdown on the Evo case. Definitely 1 of the 3 I’m looking at and HELPS in deciding. Also the Evo and Evo XL if not much difference in choice besides hard to find the XL. A big reason I’m liking Evo is for the upright GPU and mounted with fans
I think the case is trying to appeal to some people's preferences and i think it did a good job at, and when a reiviewer like you builds in it and shares the specs of the case; it really shows what the cases true colors are, as always you did a nice job presenting. Keep them coming 👍
I subscribed due to this video. This comparison to the Corsair 5000T thermal data helped me pick between the two cases, and if you must know I ended up going with Corsair because of aesthetics and performance. The price difference wasn’t crazy due to the Corsair controller module(~70$) and fans(~100$) that came included with the case. Taking that into consideration, both cases are around 180$ without peripherals due to the rebate on Newegg rn(5000T going for ~350$ after rebate at the time of this comment). Since both the cases are equivalent in price after deductions, my final choice was simple. Keep up the awesome vids!
Love the o11 dynamic. Too bad this Evo wasn't available when I did my new build last year. I would definitely have done the left side option and the stand up GPU. Great review Justin.
I just transplanted into a white Corsair on sale for $45. Kinda wish I’d done the lili. Fit and finish just better. When I save up enough to upgrade from my Radeon vii, I’ll build in this puppy. Thanks!
I like the new format, but this case has so many configurations you could have tried out a few of them to compare temps etc. The config you did try is probably not gonna be the cookie cutter variant, so you should have included 6 intake + 4 exhaust as well. Since this probably will be the default spec for this case too. Otherwise a good review. Keep up the good work.
You’ve built a LOT of powerful PCs lately, Robey. One of these has to become your main gaming PC at home. Maybe one day we could see you mix in an occasional gaming stream along with the usual build streams?
Hmm. I love the O11. But I just watched a video on the Coraair 5000T. And then ofcourse there is the Hyte Y60 or whatever the name was. I'm intrigued in the hinges. I am disappointed Lian Li hasn't came out with a Lian Li O11 Evo Pro or something like that with panel hinges.
First, I'd like to express how much I am happy to have found your channel. Awesome content.. Now I got one of those and I'm scared now about the air performance with the zotac airo 4090 to arrive. And I am still wondering if I go with AMD or Intel for the main parts. I am not thinking about starting this new build with liquid cooling..I willl equip the case with Lian li v2 fans. I have been into computers since 286 yet I don't know what to plan for radiators. What size? How many? It could almost be a full college degree no joke!
Robey... I love your channel I been looking for this case since this colorway came out at Micro Center... keep up the amazing and unique content! Edit: Can you fit Push+Pull on a 360 AIO for this chassis? I am considering that route for the i9-12900KS.
Yes! That's how I have mine set up currently, i was unable to do so in my prior case. I have my AIO installed in the side panel with the intake fans inside the case, and then the second set of fans on the backside interior set on push. It was simple to route everything through it's spacious cable channels.
@@kumohara_319 Thank you for your response! I did the math with the clearance and figured it could support that niche configuration, just the fact this case can support it makes me want to upgrade too it.
I have a Lan li 2002ish Aluminum Full tower getting it's third build soon. ProArt Z690 creator & i9 K with a 3090 ti 24gb will be like dropping a new Hemi into a 69 charger. My only worry is cooling choice and is the 1200W PSU the same size as my 750W I've been using for 12 years since my last build. Will the Noctua NH-D15 be enough to be a creator or do I go Phanteks 280mm radiator.
i like all your videos and the lian li cases i have 2 evo gray and white 3 mini white 1 air My gray evo is air cooled 5600x still working on white evo .
Do you think the crosshair viii extreme eatx board will fit? I ask because the power plugs are horizontal and I don’t see how to get the 24 pin to fit.
R u telling me that this liquid cooler and case has the same temps has the air cooled case and cooler? So is it wiser just to use that build for temps?
I have the razer edition of this case. Everything was fine for 2 years but now it’s pretty hot in there. I redid the thermal grease but that didn’t help... maybe it is my AIO? It used to be super cool in there and now the temps are twice what they used to be so it is pretty concerning. I don’t think it is because of the case though. This is just a general question.
@@robeytech thanks for the reply! I cleaned the fans but I think it’s a faulty AIO, I found some bad reviews of my MSI AIO that are the same as my experience so I’m going to have to make a warranty claim.
@@robeytech do you mean if the computer is otherwise working? It’s just hot while gaming (85C) with the AIO not working. Is it safe to disconnect the AIO from the motherboard and use the computer or leave the non-functional AIO in place? I’ve never tried to run it without the AIO. First build.
