- The body is finally painted and I'm not sure we could have run into more problems. The widebody fenders side skirts bumper and rear spats are next in line I will cover the painting process of those in pt 2 of the paint job. This thing is nearing the finish line!

Do a gloss black roof wrap
CarPro Installs or a gloss carbon fiber wrap. This car is pretty much made for some stormtrooper contrast.

Nice job. Just a word of advice if your going to paint the door jambs pull the weather striping and use that area to tape your plastic to. That way when your done the only area not getting paint is under the weather stripping where no one can see.

Great Episode! After having watched the last few, the new format of "No real intro" is working well. You seemed to have figured out the volume levels on your voice and background music. Loved how your wife and youngest help with getting the #DadWagon out of your paint shop. The white looks fantastic. Also thanks for the key ring and sticker. I got them a few weeks ago. Here in Seattle the weather is gray most of the time and seeing people buy gray cars (or silver) always confused me. Like why do you want more gray!? So this white that you used really pops rain or shine. Awesome job!

I was going to dip my B5 because it's forgiving but you're motivating me to paint it. What size compressor do you use? You should make a video about how to paint in your garage. I saw your paint booth video but I see you just used your garage this time and you used tarps on the floor
Oh! Go in depth too for us newbs. Like grades of paint, how much it typically costs, prep, how much time it takes, etc

You might want to look at using 3812 enamel reducer for you cleaning. Degreaser isn’t potent enough to fully get oils off. 3812 shouldnt take base off but if you are going to try it do a spot test. You have to wipe down with one had and dry with another. I’ve been around paint my whole life. My father has a business painting aircraft. But you are headed in the right direction, you always wipe down until nothing comes off, then go over it with tac rags.
BUILT it can be a little pricey so I don’t know if you want to go that way, but it’s what we use on things that we can’t clean with acetone
