Lived in Colorado since 83. Yep, in time for some epic blizzards. But came from Michigan, still wear less layering than natives here...who often don't ski. Lol. Still struggle with powder, ice is so...set your edges. In Colorado must know the compass...directions all in NSEW. Also do NOT plant evergreens on the south side of a driveway, especially one with hills. Unless you like hibernating. For a few days anyway.
I live in Rhode Island and it's the same here as well . Not as much snow as Colorado though. But if you go further north like Maine or Vermont oh yes! So much snow. We love our Subarus as well!
So awesome I love this it prepares me for what to “know” when I visit the centennial state CO!
The fact that you go to keystone makes me cry
You said Mountain “correctly!” 😉 (never realized some people actually pronounce the “t” until I was a teenager… I’m from Utah, and I love the “mao-nns” 😂)
You know he's a Midwest transplant because of the humidifier. For native Coloradans it's not dry here, everywhere else is wet.
"Moun'un" is so true though.
This was amazing!! We’ll done and welcome to CO
I always loved getting my REI dividend! After living in Denver 30+ years, our real estate allowed us to make a cash buy here in Kentucky with acreage. You know, now that you live in Colorado you can never afford to move back to California. Nor could we afford to move back to Colorado. Funny how that works!😂
Ppl doing that is why Californians made living here so expensive (name your price, we have cash) & now exporting that to other states.
My SIL said the same thing. Built their home in Denver for $350-400, sold it for $850, moved to Tx & moved back to be near kids & can't afford their old house.
You never cease to make me laugh every single time🤣😂😅
Best time for Colorado husbands when you can leave your beers in the garage, groceries in the truck, and yesterday’s breakfast lunch and dinner stay refrigerated. it’s winter and I’ll take my time grab what I want with no rush.
These are Utah problems too. 🤣
I hear this! Just transplanted from Utah. But the do such a better job of road maintenance! Colorado had some work to do.
You missed one of the most important parts- driving on I-70 on weekends! :D
I love Colorado in the winter!! Course, I visit from Tennessee so snow is a real treat! Last week we saw a fat tire bike at Barr Lake State Park while we walked in the snow, me in Crocs, no socks, lol. I still have all my toes.
Ive lived in colorado my whole life, and this is scarily accurate
Valentimes Day in the Moun 'uns.😁
Humidifier? Transplant!
This is mostly spot on but want to point out that we are ColoradANS not OANS. The Fort Collins newspaper "The Coloradoan" has a history of their mistaken name and admission :). I love the moun'ain reference because nobody I know eliminates the "t"... LOL. Every year these conversations get better.... LOL
2:42 try an Acura with SH-AWD. Turn, floor it, and you get a perfect four-wheel drift every time.
"gotta love that south facing driveway" 😂
From NC and love my chapstick!!!!! I put it everywhere too! I have them in my car, purse, home! Number one is Vaseline and yes the humidifier! We are having some kind of winter ❄️ this year! Like when I was a kid! Love your video! Love some good old biscuits and jam! Excellent In the winter! 😆❄️
Live in the Springs. Yes I've used Blistex on my hands.😂
The humidifier, the chapstick, the Denver Biscuit Co. Ahhhh yes that is me.
Omg I lived out there for 3 years and the mail part (“toll”…”toll”…REI dividend!”) was so on point 😂😂😂 And I miss Denver Biscuit Company even more now. Used to be able to walk there 🥺😢
I can’t count the number of times I took kids to dance class wearing flip flops in the snow.
Greetings from Montana! All of this is true up here too!
How do you know it's winter time in Colorado? All the Subarus come out of hibernation! 🤣
I used to live in Denver. This is 100% accurate 😂
Similar to Wyoming, except we have an ikon pass and direct the Denver people to I25 south.
He didn't highlight the part where 94.5% of all Subaru drivers here chronically travel 15 miles below the speed limit, and coast along at a steady 35mph while in the leftmost lane on the highway.
Oh, and you can't forget all the people riding their fat tire bikes on the Cherry Creek bike path in the middle of July. 🙄
Hello neighbor from Wyoming!👋🏼That’s not funny…my driveway faces north and it’s a dam ice sheet from October to May every year single year. I’ve lived in this house for 16 years! Too bad we didn’t think of that when purchasing but you’d better bet the next house will face south🤣❄️
