- Hello flight simmers, and welcome back to Alpha Hotel Flight Simulator Training. In this video, we'll take an in-depth look at holding patterns - how to enter them & how to fly them (and how to program your GPS for them!)
Holding patterns are primarily used to give airborne aircraft delays when necessary - but they are also an integral part of instrument approaches. Learning to fly them will make you a more well-versed and proficient instrument pilot.

Your videos are pure gold! Clear and concise with great graphics and examples. I know your titles always refer to MSFS, but you should market your stuff to the real flying world as well; it's all relevant and explained very well!! I am going through instrument training right now, and so far, watching only 2 of your videos has explained more about what's happening in the cockpit then I can take in the actual lesson.
@gregagee4328, glad you found the content helpful - both in the sim and the real world. I think you'll find MSFS helpful and practicing real world IFR procedures as you progress through your training.
