You say this but silent hill 2 has some serious performance issues (on pc at least) watched the game actively drop to 3-7 frames for seemingly no reason and when a lot of stuff happens it’s almost a guarantee again idk if this is the case for the ps5 version at least until dawn runs well
I think its an absolutely amazing game, and this remake improved so much with new music, and stunning graphics (also I can finally play it cuz of the pc port). I paid 70 euros for it, and I think it was well worth it for me. I already did 2 playthrough's and I have no idea how much more will I do over the years. I get that its not worth it for some, but others really appriciate it. If it's not for you don't buy it. Simple.

I held out picking this up on the PS4 for last couple years as heard there were rumours they were doing a PS5 update so I waited and now the PS5 version is complete trash. No clue why they released this on ps5. Should of just released on PC. The ps4 version is better with its fixed camera angles and creepy blue tint and it's 60fps on ps5.
Sony’s PC initiative is really screwing over their PlayStation audience. They’re only remaking these old games they already played so they can sell them to the PC crowd. Then they wonder why over 40% of people haven’t upgraded to the PS5. Most everything still releases on the PS4 or they’re remaking/remastering games they already own on the PS4.

A game released in 2015 does not need a remake this shortly after release. Silent Hill 2 is acceptable remake as that was 2001. Again this game is a cash grab

Games evolved exponentially, in graphics, narrative and overall experience, while the price remained the same until a few years ago.
