We have to admit that most pick up buyers are for the advantage of having a car n a truck which means pang porma at the same time utility vehicle and we don't want to use it for industrial or for trucking jobs. I hope you agree. Otherwise we opt to buy the lower variant or better a real truck. I tend disagree on some comments like their idea is better than the engineers and professionals who studied, researched and came up with the design. They'd better apply to the company and promote their idea if it's good to the company. Just kidding but seriously saying. I just give my things I don't like with Ranger raptor aside from what was said is the delay feature on the system, like horn, the shifting of transmission from 1st to 2nd gear and reverse-forward engagement. Front/side sensors are also important.

At the end of the day it is a truck and you need to remember this, it is not a Mustang !!! Trucks are normally hard working vehicles and the engine which it has now is about the right size for what is needed, a 3.5 would kill you for the gas and not needed while driving around with speed limits being around 100kmh in the Philippines which is plenty fast enough. Fully agree with your likes in the truck.
acceleration on sports mode is awesome! this is a sports truck never fails me on high speed acceleration and top speed! , I rarely use it as utility truck, the grip on the road is rigid, even on the muddest terrain no sweat on 4x4 mud/sand mode
If I were to choose, Ill choose Ranger Wildtrak 4x4.. Same engine with the Raptor & it has many features than the Raptor. Ranger Wildtrak has the ff: -adaptive cruise control -lane departure warning & lane keeping aid. -forward collision warning -autonomous emergency braking -active park assist -auto high beam control -ambient lighting If u want to get that macho look from the Raptor, you can buy Raptor Kit(grill, 1 set of fender, step board, etc) available in banawe. Customising the Wheels/tires, suspension, and decals as well. Hmmm.. At least 2 thing that u won't have in the wildtrak, the Driving mode & the sports seats. I was looking into a Hilux Conquest for Toyota reliability, but the Raptor just looks so much better and Ford just offers more. Now if there will be a performance aftermarket to boost HP and fuel economy is what I want to see.

The bi-turbo v6 wouldn't be a wise choice for Ford to do. The F150 raptor has that engine, as a company i think they wouldn't compromise such engine option. They want to keep the F150 different from the Ranger platform.

That V6 is just for the new f150 raptor..they' re ditching V8s except for their heavy duty trucks and ford is reducing its engine displacement.. but for me, engine reliability, still the 3.2.. the bi turbos are about to be tested, so far, some consumer from my area(gensan, davao) complains that their turbo was blown out and replacing w/ a hefty price new turbos..
Macho and durable look but you cant get far off from the city, you need to make sure your always close to service cntr.if you buy one of those for just aesthetic reason then thats your money of course.

The engine is a huge let down. I own a 19 ranger raptor and a 2018 Navara both have a similar 4 cylinder diesel engine that's just painfully slow . As a matter of fact all pick ups available in the Philippines suffer from the same problem. All of them should have a v6 option
You will love it. I owned and driven a lot of cars since I was a used cars dealer then, This Raptor is fun to drive you will enjoy every bit of it. Its like driving a sports car with its electric drive power steering and 10 speed powerful automatic transmission. The ride is so good and comfy. Hindi ako nagkamali sa pagbili ng Ford Raptor pero di ko pa sya nasubukan sa off road.
The Ranger Raptor has an internal Timing Belt. Sealed with the engine and soaked in engine oil. Goodluck replacing that. Also, the EGR and exhaust system is integrated inside the engine goodluck cleaning that too! The 500 nm of Torque is only available in 1750-2000 rpm. That's only 250 rpms and with a 10 speed gearbox, it's hard to fully utilize that 500 nm because the rpm is always changing.
Ford is not gonna put a 3.5 ecoboost in a ranger, not since the f150 raptor has that engine, the most they might do will be a 2.7 ecoboost which usdm rangers and lower trimmed f150 already utilize here un the US market, trust me when i say i wish they would swap to a v6, i drive the big brother raptor here.

It´s a 2.0. And he said it, it runs okay and its top in its class however is not something that you expect from Ford Performance. Considering the looks, you would expect an engine capable to deliver at least 300hp.
Diesel is more expensive than gasoline in the USA! Diesel stations are not readily available in urban areas sometimes they are located at desert areas where most truckers pass by.

The second thing he doesnt like is it doesn't feel special inside. I mean. You said apart from the seats steering wheel etc. If ford changed it too much then it wouldn't be a ranger right? The "Raptor" package is more of the performance upgrades rather than style. The raptors signature is flashy flares and fox suspension with beefy tires the inside doesn't matter. No offense.
But, Raptor bucket seats are great! very comfy and sporty. Steering is lighter than my Rav4 2013.

The bi-turbo v6 wouldn't be a wise choice for Ford to do. The F150 raptor has that engine, as a company i think they wouldn't compromise such engine option. They want to keep the F150 different from the Ranger platform.

I agree that performance-wise raptor is not that good. It was even outran by colorado sportscat hsv in a drag race. Also one auto reviewer said the performance numbers "are computer-generated".

That V6 is just for the new f150 raptor..they' re ditching V8s except for their heavy duty trucks and ford is reducing its engine displacement.. but for me, engine reliability, still the 3.2.. the bi turbos are about to be tested, so far, some consumer from my area(gensan, davao) complains that their turbo was blown out and replacing w/ a hefty price new turbos..

The engine is a huge let down. I own a 19 ranger raptor and a 2018 Navara both have a similar 4 cylinder diesel engine that's just painfully slow . As a matter of fact all pick ups available in the Philippines suffer from the same problem. All of them should have a v6 option

Its like driving a sports car with its electric drive power steering and 10 speed powerful automatic transmission. The ride is so good and comfy. Hindi ako nagkamali sa pagbili ng Ford Raptor pero di ko pa sya nasubukan sa off road.

The Ranger Raptor has an internal Timing Belt. Sealed with the engine and soaked in engine oil. Goodluck replacing that. Also, the EGR and exhaust system is integrated inside the engine goodluck cleaning that too!
The 500 nm of Torque is only available in 1750-2000 rpm. That's only 250 rpms and with a 10 speed gearbox, it's hard to fully utilize that 500 nm because the rpm is always changing.

Ford is not gonna put a 3.5 ecoboost in a ranger, not since the f150 raptor has that engine, the most they might do will be a 2.7 ecoboost which usdm rangers and lower trimmed f150 already utilize here un the US market, trust me when i say i wish they would swap to a v6, i drive the big brother raptor here.

Bro, u better check power train again. New 2.2 bi-turbo deliver more power and torque than previous 3.2 engine. And using 2.2 instead of 3.2 , running cost is significantly low for yearly basic. Just for yr info dude.
It´s a 2.0. And he said it, it runs okay and its top in its class however is not something that you expect from Ford Performance. Considering the looks, you would expect an engine capable to deliver at least 300hp.

Diesel is more expensive than gasoline in the USA! Diesel stations are not readily available in urban areas sometimes they are located at desert areas where most truckers pass by.
