I think the kids is smart, the parent just underestimated him
I believe everyone is smart they just learn in their own speed and according to their interest
I am not in the "every kid is smart in his own way" camp, there are smart kids and there are not so smart kids. The kid is pretty average in academics, he dosen't show any talent in sport either. Your point is somewhat valid for his memory, he has a good memory, but that's it. I would argue that parents overestimated him to keep up with the pressure of keeping appearances.

Glad you mentioned the conversion point for going to a missionary school.
It is stressful to be successful in a highly populated country. Imagine to be a genius kid competing a limited resources with other big group of genius kids.
Wow!!! This Indian movie taught me a lot 💗💗.
Thank you and God bless
Soborno Issac Bari ? 😆🤣...
in india where you become "sucessful" by memorising
not necessarily.....you can get good marks by rote memorization but I am sure that is not a criteria for "success". Although I admit memorization is often confused with learning in Indian and other Eastern cultures.

YOOOO! This story fucked me up! I'm glad the father realized what he was doing and had enough sense to call it off. A lot of parents wouldn't give a damn
Sadly brilliant Bollywood movies like these hardly get the recognition they deserve.
The father's a real genius.

Indian parents obsession for genius kids 😊😊...few of them are but even the average kids are fantastic!! Just keep believing in your kids, buck them up, give them happy childhood..thats what is needed😊👍
It's not Indian parents fault, it's Educational systems fault, which teach u to be obedient, don't allow physical activities, focus on remembering things. It's just kills the curiosity of child.
Education should be empowering, it's should make student rebellious, curious.
This is exactly going on in my country, Bangladesh.
