    Most people when they get Little Mac twice in tournament: "I can't believe I got the worst character twice on random in tournament, that's awful, no wonder I lost!"

      Watching Smash 4 ZeRo was incredibly hype and sad at the same time. It was hype because really, the question was always "Can anyone beat ZeRo this tournament?". And it was sad because hearing everyone cheer against him was not cool. I understood everyone was tired of him winning literally everything, but part of me wanted to see how long he could keep the streak going. Even when he finally lost, anyone who beat him instantly got their name recognized as "someone who beat ZeRo". It was amazing.

    • @moonsad7514
      @moonsad7514 4 года назад

      I remember I cheered for ZeRo all the time, except this one day. In 2016, there was a tournament where a Robin player(Dath) made top 8. In Sm4sh, Robin was never considered a particularly good character, and on top of that, I mained Robin. I watched Dath beat top player after top player until he had to play against ZeRo, and I thought, “maybe he has a chance”. Nope. Decimated. ZeRo picked him apart. It wasn’t even very close. Dath ended up getting 3rd, and ZeRo was 1st. 😔

Maybe instead of playing in tournaments competitively, you can go in for fun and just play meme characters with no intention of winning. That way, there would be no pressure to do well and you can still produce this kind of content. Zero, I love what you represent in the Smash Bros community. You show that if you work hard you can achieve anything (even being the best player in the world), but also that you don't have to kill yourself trying to win every tournament to have fun with this game.
    I have thoroughly enjoyed all your content here and watching your journey since Smash 4 (when I got into watching Smash competitive play).
    I would love to see you play in more tournaments in the future if you feel like you'll have fun, because even if you don't win I have a lot of fun watching you play. A lot of your viewers can't even get into a high level tournament like that. So to see that through your eyes is a treat for me and I'm sure a lot of people here agree.
    Keep up the good work. You're a great guy, very relatable, and honestly I feel like most of us viewers just like hanging out with you.

    Zeros already done more than enough to prove himself. I’m sure that if he practiced and cared about ultimate competitively he would most definitely be a top 5-10 player in the world. He deserves to just play this for fun at this point, though I’m gonna miss these online zero runs. Though nothing like a regular tourney, seeing Zero compete in these was nostalgic and very entertaining.

    I'll be sorry to see this series of videos end. While winning is cool since you get farther and there's more matchups to watch, what I've really gotten out of all of these is the commentary you're providing of what you're thinking, what you're going for, and what you think your opponent is most likely to do. I really don't see anyone else providing such a clear, detailed glimpse of what a smash pro mindset is thinking right as it's happening and it's fantastic! You've still got the instincts and knowledge and it's really cool to watch you sharing that! It's something that only really comes out when you're intensely focusing on beating a formidable opponent.
    It makes sense though that without an absurd amount of practice and effort there's no reasonable way to compete with the players who are devoting their everything into the game. I hope that even if you aren't going to continue popping into tourneys here and there, you still have some content providing that killer insight into your mindset as you play somewhat serious matches.

I understand the reasons why you don't want to compete though know that it is fun watching you do so regardless. You don't have to have the level of commitment and the results of a top player, you've already contributed more to the competitive smash scene than most players could even dream of. Im making an assumption here but I feel like he's frustrated because he knows he should be doing better.
    I Feel like he would be doing better if he practiced hard.
    He probably doesn't feel like practicing because of the toxicity he experienced and streaming is probably a better gig.
    I don't blame him.
    But i feel like part of what makes pro players cool is overcoming the pressure of the crowd and people rooting against you. Its sad to see one of the best defeated by that.
