Ross, plumb into the power steering pump for the loader usage. Should be a plug in the side of the steering column at the base. That's what I did with my old JD3010D, saves you a lot of time on trying to do all that extra plumbing. Now, it is possible for him to add a 2nd outlet for the rear. There's a lot of plumbing involved in that. That's an awesome drill. Cheers :)
I enjoy your responses with defiance, especially when you talk about those with the tacky comments. You gotta watch out for that refreezing water puddles from melted snow, I busted my butt on one in the drive, ouch! I have a 1969 John Deere 1020, but it has some issues with the brakes and the dash has a busted tachometer from something hitting it. I bought it about 6 or 8 years ago, it has a Koyker loader on it that's directly piped from the side of the tractor to the control valve, which I would love to change. His is in pretty nice shape, the nose of mine does have a little dent on it, stuff happens, right! Enjoyed watching, thanks for sharing, I hope your day goes good.
I left a can of D. Pepsi in my car over night during freezing temps , didn’t work out well . Nice new find for the farm . Great video Ross , see ya tomorrow
Nice video Ross. More toys to play with. That drill seems very interesting. How far we have come. Will be interesting to see you plant with it. Thanks for sharing.
You punching through the floor of the trailer is like my dad a few months ago…went to pick up an IH fast hitch back blade from an auction and then they were loading it in the bed of the truck it sat down and then when they pulled the forks out it dropped a bit more and one of the fast hitch prongs punched a hole right through the side of the truck bed😂😂
Thanks for sharing, one time i left a 12 pack in the truck at - 15. What a mess that was. Another goofy thing is the most snow I've seen all winter is on Ross the Oliver Man videos, currently my area is in a snow drought. Oh well.
Was talking with a neighbor the other day about your crane problem. I guess here in Kansas you can bag 3 of those a day. He said they are known the “ pork chop of the sky”. Might have to try one in the skillet. 😂😂.
Most of the 1020s I have ben around are hard to steer and one way you can turn sharper than you can the other way and they have all ben manual, but will convert to power steering when I can get my hands on the parts and there’s a bolt or pin at the back of the bucket I have one hear at my shop also have the part for the dirt bucket that goes over the tines
Nice video makes me want to get my 1020 out of the barn it has been in storage for 25 years I can't remember for sure where we used to get the pressure for that particular model tractor but we used to plumb the return into a fitting welded to the side of the filter housing on the side of the transmission also can't wait to see the drill in action wish there were more Oliver equipment in my area keep up the good work love your content
If you need to look up parts I’ve got an original 1020 parts manual, just let me know and I can help a feller out, don’t want to get rid of it since I’ve still got my 1020, but I could heal a feller if needed. There’s absolutely a way to plumb that loader up the way you’re talking, I’ve done it, and it’s not hard to do, I can send you pictures if he decides to do it.
For your info, a 1020 is a 2020 with 3 cylinders instead of 4, on my great uncle's 1020 which was a 68' if that changed anything or if it was the next year they updated them or not I don't know for sure, the hydraulic pump was replaced with a pump form a bigger tractor(was told it was off a 4020, but the man that knew for sure died a couple years ago) that way they plumbed the loader from the pump to a joystick valve and still had the remote to use for other implements. That is an interesting looking grain drill.
I bought a 12 row planter one time south of the Des Moines river. You have to cross the "Mile long Bridge" to get back to my place. The sheriff actually comes out and shuts down traffic for you to cross. Guessing it took me 4-5 minutes to cross with the 1066. Could only go about 17 MPH, more than that and things got really squirrelly! Got frustrated with that planter last spring and scrapped that S.O.B.!
I'm surprised you didn't drag out the 4 foot pipe wrench for the project 😁🤣🤣 You throw away tools.... ya right 🙄🤣 Well at least it wasn't your Dad that broke the trailer 😂
I think the Dew freezing has to do with a liquid under pressure and blah blah blah. I think we studied that in high school science class but I was sitting in the back daydreaming and picking my nose.
When you re-deck your trailer, get the kit to move the axles so they are under the springs. Camping trailers that drag tail on the road when they encounter a dip like you have entering fuel places are putting springs under the axles using a readily available kit. Then you could actually widen your deck and the required fenders would be easy to take care of because the tires would be much lower. You could actually leave the tops of the tires open through the deck like semi-trailers do. Then you could drive over the tops of the tires. Then you could haul tractors without any problem. You could even haul your 1955. You would have to drop your trailer tongue lower or get a hitch you stick into the receiver that has the ball higher.
A guy like Ross could just get new axle perches and weld them to the opposite side of the axles to do that. If he wants to haul a 1955 he better update the axles or those would customize themselves
@@jamieebersole6755 If he would move the axles toward the back of the trailer so he could carry a good amount of weight on the Super Duty truck he could get by. We hauled a 4-180, a not assembled 7 bottom plow and a not assembled 28' disk the length of IN on a 5th wheel 3 axle trailer with 7,000 lb axles pulled by a Ford F-250 4-wheel drive powered by a warmed-over 360 engine. Weighed 38,000 gross weight. BTW, I pulled the 4-180 from Indy to South Bend plant so they could slide as much under the tractor as possible, which they did. They had disk gangs on the tops of the folding ramps and on the top of the 5th wheel arch. Never got the automatic out of 2nd gear but did not impede traffic much.
😊😊 HI ROSS when drinks or sodas get that cold it's called slush it's almost frozen not yet and they have a better taste and flavor there is a difference between ice cold drinks and slush cold drinks 😋 😊 OMG 1 3O 2O25
Thank the gentleman for allowing you to film him. And thanks to you for the entertainment.
I miss the red pliers & the orange hammer!!
The orange hammer makes an appearance soon! I need to get the red pliers out of the pickup though 😂
Here’s a video suggestion plant some oats with the new drill and harvest them with the moline combine
That's a great idea! Maybe I could make that happen sometime.

Ross, thanks for sharing with us. That's a pretty cool grain drill

Love your videos Ross but love them more when you start them off with buddy the dog so cute important part of life keep them coming buddy
Thanks for watching and I appreciate the love for Buddy! You got it!
Nice score on the grain drill. I imagine that style is hard to come by these days.

Thanks, I'm excited to play with it!
You should have made Jake Brake sounds coming down that grade !😅 Nice video, and a cool dude he was ! Take care, Ross and Buddy, the Dog

"every time someone complains i throw.away a socket and buy an ajustable wrench" had me rolling laughing.
great video ot seems you got some equip to add to your collection hope you it home safely

Been meaning to say for a while; lov ur new theme music at the end of the video !!
I think it is Ross playing the piano. He is an excellent musician.
Ross ,you need to build some outrigers and drive over fenders to make your trailer more gooder

It's the pressure that probably allows the pop to stay in liquid form at a temperature below freezing.
Greetings, Captain Kanootsen (for the algorithm)!

👍loader is bigger than the tractor

@bigun447 that trailer looks like it has 2 3500lb axles.
Hey Ross you wouldn’t know where to find seed cups for a 64 grain drill would you?
😊😊 HI ROSS when U get that grain drill home 🏡 😊 if U have a bank that U unload that it would work alot better 😊😊 OMG 1 3O 2O25
