Thank you for this video! I havent played in a while and tonight I dusted off my strings. This video along with your backing track video gave me the motivation to play more. Thumbs Up!
Hi Tomas from another Thomas a stoneager trying to learn a bit more than a couple of chords really enjoyed finding your video but the links were not displayed at the end thanks
I wonder how standard guitar tuning ended up on G Major (E Minor) Pentatonic? Customs are weird. Nice to know I can play E Minor Pentatonic without touching the fretboard though (as long as my guitar is in standard tuning). All I gotta do is strum
I know this is a dumb thing to get hung up on, but coming from piano and violin, I'm really confused by these pentatonic scales... why not just learn a "normal" scale with all 7 notes? why leave some notes out?
I understand and it's a common question I get asked. Penta means 5, so it's a 5 notes scale, and is one of the oldest scales we know. This scale has no half-steps in it, so in theory, it makes it easier for you to play. Its cool sound is found in jazz, rock, etc.
The positive energy was enough to make me learn
I've been studying this scale for a long time. But I didn't notice "My girl" tune. Thanks
You're very welcome M.Başar Çakmak

Great video - question on when to use major vs minor pentatonic - if its a 12 bar blues that uses dominate 7 chords - major, minor, both?
Hello Thomas and thank you. Where is the backing track!
Thankyou
