A Better Way to Learn Major Pentatonic on Guitar

Major pentatonic is probably the most commonly used major key scale, so it's a good place to begin with scales.
But even if you're already familiar with the scale, this lesson will go further than simply showing you fingering patterns. It shows you how to apply the scale musically and intuitively.
The process outlined in this video and on the lesson page will help you to develop your improvisation and composition skills, so you'll know how to make music with the scale instead of wandering up and down aimlessly.
Be sure to get your backing tracks, exercises and diagrams on the lesson page...

Hi guys. For those of you who are more advanced with scales, I appreciate this lesson may be a bit "back to basics". However, the beginner-intermediates need love too ;) I try to cover as much as I can and have neglected these initial stages for some time. I'm already working on the next part which will be of more use to those who are already familiar with what's covered in this lesson. Thanks for your patience and support.

fretjam It's a great lesson. By far the best lessons I've ever seen. I've been playing for years and, believe it or not, I don't know the notes. However you'd never know if you heard me play. I visualize the neck and I'm able to hit the proper notes. This is from years of playing. Now, with your lessons, I'm determined to learn the proper way.

Cheers for the Video! Apologies for chiming in, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you considered - Riddleagan Blossoming Solo Remedy (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a smashing one of a kind product for mastering guitar scales without the hard work. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my mate after many years got astronomical results with it.

Excellent Video! Forgive me for the intrusion, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you thought about - Riddleagan Blossoming Solo Remedy (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a smashing one off product for mastering guitar scales minus the hard work. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my old buddy Taylor got excellent success with it.

What an excellent video. A key takeaway for me was that understanding the root of the scale is crucial in being able to pair it with backing keys or chords. You can really apply the proper pentatonic scale to a song with this information.

Having tried to learn fretboard (essentially to improve on scales), and failed for last few weeks, it was getting terribly frustrating.
15 mins into your website - and i was sold. Everyone else is asking to memorise - but this a bottom up approach to improve fretboard learning-> scales.
    Wish you my best.
