Without this movie I wouldn’t have been a Godzilla fan, the hate this movie gets is a disgrace, it’s a good monster movie.
I later understood why people claimed this to be a good monster movie but a bad Godzilla one.
Это не каноничный Годзилла.
This really wasn't a bad Godzilla movie like the critics made it out to be. My only problem is that they made this godzilla into a mutated Iguana more than they made him look like the actual Godzilla himself.
and he looked better this way
@@mkhanman12345 Yeah but Smaller.
4:43 "How many helicopters do you want chasing the monster down the city streets?"
"YES!"
Not to mention both the ground troops and helicopters shooting at eachother.
I couldn't care less about the original, I prefer this one.
Godzilla looked like some giant Ape.
This one has a lizard appearance which gave it a Dinosaur look.
And this movie was good.
That was the problem. This movie was a Jurassic Park rip-off….Even the babies look like velociraptors……
Para mí, fue de las mejores películas de Godzilla.
Si así es a mi me gusta mucho
Who here thinks the Series animated show was (and still is) as good as this film?
No doubt
The TV series wasn't bad, it's more kids cartoon friendly dinosaur that fights other monsters that somehow inspired from old previous Godzilla's enemies movies from japan that came out of nowhere.
@@ChloeKruegerSenpai Well, it was entertaining and has some suspense moments, like the military attacking the young Godzilla, the alien invasion, DRAGMA apocalypse, and couple unanswered questions within the show.
Who here's even heard of it? Probably next to no one.
this is the best gozilla movie in my opintion.. from Republic of Korea
It would have been unrealistic to miss in such a situation, but they managed to do it. 5:15
The Godzilla not dead...Godzilla 1998 Vhs 👏
Subs in the Hudson River. Lol. While this movie was fun, the absurdities were many. It was as tall as buildings and could dive into the water right off the dock. WhTs the max depth right around the city maybe 40-45 ft? Subs racing around fully submerged in the Hudson. Just crazy
Nuclear bombs making a lizard grow to 200ft tall was ok with you, but you drew the line at subs in the Hudson lol.
‘
I was 22 years old in 1998 when this movie came out - back then I went to see it twice
They done a better job at blowing up a submarine than Tony Scott did in Crimson Tide.
Despite my not liking this "Godzilla" movie, I did like this scene. If they didn't name it Godzilla, it would have been a decent monster movie.
It should be called Zilla the monster of the sea
This movie gets a bad rep for A LOT of valid reasons, but no one is willing to talk about how it makes the US military look absolutely inept. At least the original Japanese version strived to give the Japanese military some redemption since WWII was still fairly recent. We have Troops and artillery firing blindly into their own aircraft, who themselves are recklessly flying close together in narrow areas rather than above the skyline at a distance, then you have submarines firing off armed torpedoes in shallow water in close proximity to each other and their target. Which btw, modern torpedoes have a range of over 30 miles and can detonate via direct impact, proximity, or remotely. So they could have not only fired them from a safe distance down river from Godzilla, they could have used them like depth charges to disorient and incapacitate Godzilla without actually hitting him, and they could have remotely detonated those torpedoes that were at risk of hitting one of their own ships. This isn't blind patriotism and claiming the US armed forces are perfect, nor is it failing to consider that they are in a unique situation involving a giant monster, this is basic stuff that would not let them be operating at this level of stupidity.
Gino might not be Godzilla bit its a Kaiju. Fun movie
He is Godzilla, a pretty fateful one to the original film, unlike monsterverse.
Anyone for Godzilla Final Wars
5:16 Is he armored plated on the front, rear, top and bottom? Making him exposed on the sides?
I’m just going to state the obvious. That is not Godzilla! That is mommy zilla.
I’m gonna state the obvious too, it isn’t a mommy as it’s a male.
Perché non porti mai il MonsterVerse?
Японцы снимали фильмы про Годзиллу почти 100 лет! Американцы сняли один фильм, и он лучше всех японских, вместе взятых!!!
They were two of them was that the mother or the father
No it’s the same one. He didn’t die after being hit with the torpedo missiles
The scene that killed the movie for me. Suddenly Godzilla's like tiny lol
Huh?
4:54
How these guided missiles are locking on gozilla?are these missiles sensing heat from it's body?
If you're thinking about this, you've got the wrong movie.
@gregutdmglaucos3757 yes, it has been shown wrong.
@@tamoghnasen5158I wanted to say that the film is not the best in terms of logic and scientific truth.
But it is true that in absolute terms it is an interesting question, what is the intensity necessary to lock an infrared missile, I would say that it is highly unlikely that a temperature between 20 and 40 degrees is enough to lock the missile, already that they have difficulty with targets at more than 200 degrees.
@@gregutdmglaucos3757 yes I was thinking that too.
Nennt das nicht Godzilla das ist den Namen nicht würdig und viel Hässlicher
The crapiest Godzilla to date
Wht the hell it’s copied from godzilla series cartoon
The cartoon was a sequel series to this movie.
