    It's a lovely building but I wouldn't call it downtown.

    The monthly maintenance fees for this building are ridiculous ! Like having a second mortgage. This building is off my list because of that….

      Well you pay for the exceptional level of amenities, valet parking and private shuttle bus service doesn't come cheap. But that's not important to everyone.

    I used live in a condo just around the corner from this building with a lake view, and honestly, you don’t even notice the lake after living there for a few months. The lake view is over-rated because there is nothing of beauty to see, like in Vancouver or Calgary, eg, Rockies.

      These older buildings in Toronto usually include EVERYTHING in the condo fee, you pay no utilities and often don't even pay for TV & Internet. I live in a different building and pay condo fee (mine is cheaper than this) & taxes, that's it. And I just had my fan coil units replaced with no cost to me. My mom paid $7K for hers.

    Nice condo for sure. Would be even better if it had a balcony. Overall a great spot, however, the neighbourhood is definitely busy with more new condos on the near-term horizon as well.

      Thanks for sharing! Balconies were not in style for some reason when this tower was built. Interestingly, plenty of new builds downtown don't come with balconies anymore, it's come full circle.

    3:38 Electric baseboard heating is expensive. The bathroom a bit dated. Overall nice though.

      Thanks for sharing! Baseboard heating is expensive, but this building also has forced air systems in every unit. It combines both for maximum heating.

    The positive of an older building is the size of the suites...much bigger. No balcony though is a fail, your basically a prisoner inside your house lol. 1.4 mill is way too high for this considering the updates it needs but in todays market no doubt there is a line up of dummies willing to pay that and higher

    After the dubious privilege of forking over $1.4 million, you're stuck with over $3,000 a month in condo fees and exorbitant property taxes. It's not even downtown or close to a subway stop. No way.

  • @jpp7783
    @jpp7783 13 дней назад

    It’s a nice building but hardly worthy of the accolades showered upon it in this video. First, it’s hardly downtown. Secondly, it feels isolated-other than strolling along the lake, whatever needs doing is a car drive away (cup of coffee, movie, groceries, etc), making it live almost suburban (except that unlike suburbia, your car is not in the driveway, it’s down the elevator, through the garage, wind your way out-in other words, 15 minutes of overhead on the way out and 15 back, which you won’t always want to do, making it feel even more isolated). Thirdly,, to have that space and no patio or terrace? No thanks. Finally, a lot of the 70s screaming out, some of which can be renovated away, some of which cannot-the isolated, windowless kitchen, electric baseboard heating, the love affair with broadloom, all making for an ok place but hardly the height of luxury.
