  • Hyundai has unveiled the facelifted Alcazar in India, showcasing a significant mid-life refresh that brings a boxier, more rugged appearance. Originally launched in 2021 as an extended version of the Hyundai Creta, the Alcazar continues to offer the practicality of a three-row seating layout. Now, it takes heavy design inspiration from the recently updated Creta, aligning with Hyundai's new SUV design language.
    Key Design Updates:
The facelifted Alcazar features a new front design with split headlights and H-pattern LED graphics. The front bumper has been revamped with a wider grille and a large skid plate surrounding the lower cooling intake.
Along the sides, the Alcazar maintains its sculpted profile but now rides on new 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and features sleek roof rails.
At the rear, the SUV sports updated LED taillights with a distinctive H-shaped design, a new rear bumper with aluminum-style trim, and faux vents. The model showcased even includes dual tailpipes and a turbo badge for a sporty touch.
    Interior and Tech Features:
While Hyundai hasn’t released interior photos yet, the Alcazar is expected to adopt the Creta's digital cockpit, including dual 10.25-inch screens. Enhanced tech, comfort, and safety features are anticipated to be part of the package, with configurations available in both six- and seven-seat layouts across three rows.
    Powertrain Options:
The Alcazar will continue to offer both gasoline and diesel powertrains. These include a 1.5-liter turbocharged T-GDi gasoline engine producing 158 hp and a 1.5-liter CRDi diesel engine with 113 hp. Transmission options include a six-speed manual, a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic for the gasoline variant, and a six-speed torque converter automatic for the diesel.
    Launch Details:
Hyundai has started accepting pre-orders for the facelifted Alcazar in India, with the official market launch set for September 9. This model marks another step in Hyundai’s strategy to give its SUVs a more robust, boxy stance, following the design trends set by the Exter and Creta. We can expect similar design changes in upcoming models, such as the 2026 Hyundai Palisade for the US market.
