Ever since I heard Heyr Himna Smidur I can relate to this song, since I burned as a witch when that hymn was written.. Maybe we burn in each other? - Eivør is such a beauty; just pure of nature in her music. I want a drum like she has got!!!

As an Englishman, it saddens me that the culture native to my country has been all but lost, and that my language has been pushed far away from it roots. Thankfully, in the part of England I live in we have a dialect which occasionally resembles that of our older language, and also its Nordic influences. Not just to the Scandinavians, and the Germanic peoples, but to all of Europe; remember your roots.

We never went away entirely, but we were busy upon errands of our own purposes until the time was ripe. Now, Nature calls us back from long journeys, and we will do what she tells us to do next. The many stars await you, so take life out into them where it belongs...

Now You Are Burning in Me
When I saw you fly by,
My little heart could find no peace.
    Your fiery kiss burned me
And never will I kiss you again.
Now you are burning in me
Now you are burning in me
When I saw you wrapped inside
    in comfort warming her skin
    Kissing her (crying) tears
And letting her heal your wounds.

When I saw you wrapped in

I can be wrong but this is what it sounds like to me.
Tá ið eg sá teg fúka framvið, (touch me so you ... ahead?)
Kendi mítt lítla hjarta ongan frið, Felt my small heart (repented freely ?)
Tín glóðheiti eldur brendi meg, Your smolder hot fire burnt me
Og aldri aftur skal eg kyssa teg. And never after shall I kiss you
Nú brennur tú í mær Now your burning in me

Í dúnmjúka, heita kropsskinn, In the soft hot skin
Kyssa hennar vælangandi tár, Kissing her well lengthened tear (hair?)
Lata hana grøða tíni sár. Let her tend to your wounds
Its something like that but i can be wrong. In hole this song is about heartbreak that some man left her for another woman maby?

the first viking in faroe islands was only half norse While Grímur is an Old Norse first name, Kamban indicates a Celtic origin. Thus he could have been a man from Ireland, Scotland or Isle of Man, where the Vikings already had settlements. Some place names from the oldest settlements on the Faroes suggest that some of the settlers perhaps came from the Scottish islands and the British coast. and the faroese pony are to and it was ther before the vikings and we have names like koltur means calf and dímun saksun +Oisin O Lochlainn

My surname Lochlainn was given to Irish boys of Norse decent, and the city Im from Waterford was founded by the Norse and was the capital of Ireland once.
