In recent years I have wanted to establish a new tradition in my house of watching Die Hard during the holidays, because we all just love that movie (let's ignore the discussion of whether it's really a Christmas film or not...!). A couple of years ago when I first had the idea to do this, I couldn't get Let It Snow! out of my head and kept playing it for days, letting it sweep me away into a really Christmassy place. So, this year I thought I'd combine the song and the movie and try to have some fun with it for a video.
This arrangement is based on the Dean Martin version of the song, and ended up being a duet simply to satisfy my need to represent all the parts that show up in that particular version. There's lovely interplay between orchestral instruments and the main vocal in Dean Martin's version and so the second harp part picks out as much of that as possible whilst the first part deals with the band and vocal parts.
We had fun leading up to the shoot sourcing clothes and props that would be appropriate, and I even made sugar glass which we joyously smashed on the floor and put fake blood on to reference a little bit more of the movie.

Superb rendition there, the chord structure was on point - spotted the Die Hard references right away, the broken glass on the floor ( *_'Schiess das Fenster!'_* ), your right-self in a vest, and your left-self wearing the top with *'NOW I HAVE A MACHINE GUN - HO HO HO!'* on the front - great stuff, and yes it is a Christmas film AFAIC, that and DH2... #WelcomeToThePartyPal!

I think the one on the left is hot and the one on the right is a better player but the broken glass with bare feet was well dangerous.
Wearing a hat must reduce my playing abilities, but it's always good to know which angles I am best viewed at!
