It is a slip stitch, she just made a mistake on the first one. She did do a SC on that one but the rest she did slip stitch

@Sophiecjp She actually did a slip stitch only on the first one and all the rest were single crochet. Therein lies the confusion.

Yes...she did SC on the first petal but called them slip stitches. The pattern calls for slip stitches between the sets of four double crochets.
Right I noticed that too. She should have addressed it to correct herself by now and haven’t.

Are you doing a single crochet or a slip stitch between the DC’s. It looks like a SC not a slip stitch? I didn’t think a slip stitch had a yarn over. I am new just need to learn. Thank you.

@@maggietaylor9475 that does not help what the video says and does. But as you watch the second flower she catches herself and does a slip stitch. So maybe either one will work.

I really love 💕 this pattern I cant wait to give it a try I could not find the same colour as yours but I ordered Ombré coral I always liked that colour too ,but I really liked the pink one .Oh well I ate sure the coral will be nice 👍 too. Hi, l love this pattern; l have been trying to make it a rectangular shawl,but the flowers doesn’t seem to add up; the beginning of the second row is not even with flower of the first row;if l do this ,the rows will decrease as l go along. Please help me!!

Can it be worked as a rectangular shawl?
Yes! Instead of starting with one flower and working upward, make your first row a row of flowers as wide as you want. Then just work vertically from there!
Ok I’m confused. On the second round of the first petal you keep saying, 4 dc’s ch 1 and then a slip stitch into the next chain 1 space but clearly you are doing a single crochet instead of a slip stitch. Can you clarify please? Otherwise, beautiful shawl!

I know but I can't find a knitting video on you tube on how to knit thus kind of a shawl & a flower shawl & sometimes the person who does the video also puts a knitting version of the item & on knitting videos sometimes the person does a crochet version of the item . But I will ask. Thanks.

That yarn is the stiffest yarn I g e ever out in my hand. Omg. I must have e tried 4 projects until finally finally I found something I could make and be rid of it. Hurt me. Something about that color. Makes the yarn fiber scratchy fought me every inch of the the item I made.
