Just a heads up for people thinking about buying this pedal. As an owner of the original Flashback, I recently bought the Flashback 2 so that I could make use of the external tap tempo jack. However, I was disappointed to hear that the FB2 did NOT sound as good as the FB1, to the extent that I unfortunately had to return the FB2 for a refund.
The FB2 is a tad more open sounding, but the repeats are thinner and just weak sounding compared to the FB1. Also, the FB1 creates a subtle and pleasant pad-like sound when the repeats are turned up high, whereas on the FB2 the repeats just 'thin out' without creating any kind of ambient oscillation.
NOTE that I set both pedals up exactly the same within the toneprint editor, and even had confirmation from TC Electronic that the circuit was tweaked for the FB2. I was really gutted about this because I was desperate to have an external tap!

Now they're making X4 versions of these new TC pedals. You can have an external tap jack using the stereo in that's enabled using the Toneprint Editor. The trade-off is you can't have a true stereo pedal run into the FB2 while that is enabled, but if you run mono for your delay, you're not going to mind!

PLEASE guys make the toneprint apps better already. Make it so that we can share our toneprints with eachother at least.
Also, if anybody reads this with more knowledge about how making toneprints works and mathrock guitar tones. I've been trying and failing to make a reverb tone for the HOF2 mini reverb that gets close to the reverbs used by people like the RUclipsrs and Artists Ichika or LetsTalkAboutMathRock. I know they use Walrus or Mercury 7 reverbs with plate setting of some kind but i just don't know how to get it to sound right.
Anyway, I still like this pedal and use it all the time but I just wish the community was able to share their creations on the app itself or that there was a community around Toneprint at all. I feel like if TC put more effort into making the app, tools, and website better as well as easier to understand then more people would buy these pedals.

Can the looper STORE your loop(s)? As far as I can see it has no store option whatsoever and empties as soon as you switch to a different effect and doesn't allow you to store your loop before you switch away. Surely best to use Flashbcak 2 with a separate, standalone looper?
Love the eccentricity of presentation style and the super-technical use of advanced terminology such as 'pitchy thing'. Bell rung.
