You just need a general idea.....the tube helps you draw on it otherwise if you do it w/o the tube it will stretch and the the graphics will look huge!
I just fell in love with your videos! This is a great idea! I actually have tattoos on my legs, really small ones and this is the perfect way to see how another tattoo would look on the legs without making it permanent.
I LOVE YOUUUU. I've been eyeing tattoo tights for the longest time, but now I can have them. You are a genius! and I love your voice (: It's very bright and nice to listen to.
okay i did this a while ago and found out a few things; useing sharpie on panty hoes rubbs off on your legs as you were them so go ahead and use fabric marker; if you are painting a design use thick paper and like she did on the vid make a tube! i even grabbed an old lamp shaid from good will and it was perfict! and what ever way you make the designs on the tights let it compleatly dry or it will smuge hope this helps !
Oh my gosh in France tights motif are expensive now I know I will definitely do that ! Thank you so much, you have so much imagination, that's awesome...Great job!
Saw my tree! Its the only thats unfinished with the green base. Good news though, I finished it today and all my neighbores want one. So I made extra roses just incase. I made a door hanger for my building manager. Those roses are so versatile!
fabric markers, specially made to not wash out in water/soap and stuuf, or a least that's what I'm guessing ;) when using a regular marker/ sharpie, better wash them by hand, if they don't bleed I suppose you could wash them in the washing machine, but better be sure before you do that
I did these and I did a very intricate design came out so amazing however after balling them up and stashing them in my underwear drawer the black rubbed onto other areas on the stockings "/ what to do!?
i coution the use of sharpie, i did a pair of tights with them and in the heat of the summer the sharpie will rub off onto my leggs.i dont know if this is just the tights i bought or the heat, but still just a warning
I'm trying to make Josh duns tattoo sleeve for my costume and I need it twice so I want to try something like this but I am so lazy I need it in a week
I think you could do it, if you don't mind having the drawing on your leg for a day or two. I think it'd give you a better idea of how it would look on your leg and of what will flow with the natural curves of your body better.
So, I assume if you use Sharpie, you can't wash the tights? And with the fabric markers, do you need to heat the fabric to permanently set them? Can this be done with an iron somehow, but without melting the tights? Thanks for the tutorial! :)
hey I checked out the template you used for your tights and i wanted to ask where exactly did you find the design? like cause you see i also checked out the etsy tattoo website and saw some other really cool designs but i dont know how to get a template of those other designs like you did for those butterflies... yeah the designs were just modeled not shown seperately on its own template if you understand what i mean i hope you do... i really wanna try this out
Yeah well not all of us have tattoos. Some to young to get a tattoo, some have a job where they don'tallow tattoos,etc... yeah lots of reasons and if it fades you can always re-draw it.
You just need a general idea.....the tube helps you draw on it otherwise if you do it w/o the tube it will stretch and the the graphics will look huge!
THAT IS A GENIUS IDEA! Thank you! Will definitely do that.
@primarfacie89 no...they are textiles markers so its permanent

You could try getting tights that match your skin tone best, and use silver/gold/neon sharpies? Idk if fabric paint will work... but give it a shot...

I just fell in love with your videos! This is a great idea! I actually have tattoos on my legs, really small ones and this is the perfect way to see how another tattoo would look on the legs without making it permanent.
Loved the idea!! Tried it with a scissor pattern and I'm very pleased with the results! Thanks for the tutorial!

Someone give this woman a cookie.
I LOVE YOUUUU. I've been eyeing tattoo tights for the longest time, but now I can have them. You are a genius! and I love your voice (: It's very bright and nice to listen to.
@Grace Lum I made it using a brush on photoshop. U can place any picture behind there and trace.

How would I wrap these to gift them? Thanks so much for the tutorial, never thought you could make them yourself!
Maybe its a better idea to print it out in orange or whatever so you can see really well if you already coloured it
I'm so gonna try this after getting a fabric marker and tights! Cheap and awesome DIY!
A girl named Crissy had a DIY similar to this one. It helps to print the image design in gray to see where you have traced already :)
Might be the first out out MANY diy tutorials that I might actually try
That looks so awesome! And I liked that you showed your veiwers creations at the end! :)
You could use puffy paint for fabric to make the design (:

I did these and I did a very intricate design came out so amazing however after balling them up and stashing them in my underwear drawer the black rubbed onto other areas on the stockings "/ what to do!?

I don't know how to put "you have nice legs" without sounding weird..
Do you have a prosthetic? Or, you could always try making like an arm sleeve type thing.
i coution the use of sharpie, i did a pair of tights with them and in the heat of the summer the sharpie will rub off onto my leggs.i dont know if this is just the tights i bought or the heat, but still just a warning
I have looked at buying these so many times........ I'm so excited to make these
I must see the result!
I don't understand. This is not working for me. The sharpy or fabric pant just bleeds right through to the paper on the bottom!

I'm trying to make Josh duns tattoo sleeve for my costume and I need it twice so I want to try something like this but I am so lazy I need it in a week
Awesome idea!! I have the same problem of ripping tights like crazy.
I think you could do it, if you don't mind having the drawing on your leg for a day or two. I think it'd give you a better idea of how it would look on your leg and of what will flow with the natural curves of your body better.
I could'nt find the drawing of the butterflies in your blog...
So, I assume if you use Sharpie, you can't wash the tights? And with the fabric markers, do you need to heat the fabric to permanently set them? Can this be done with an iron somehow, but without melting the tights? Thanks for the tutorial! :)

A cool idea. As an artists I appreciate the process. My granddaughter will too.

What is the color of the pantyhose u bought? I went to walmart and I was unsure of what color pantyhose to buy. Honey or irony?
