    Everything about Gale is beautiful

She had a compelling and husky voice that was unique for a female singer. Plus a sexy and straightforward delivery . Admirable.

One thing I find sexy is a deep voice in a woman like her or like katherine turner

I agree 100%! Gale Garnett is a great looking lady who could sing! Her deep husky voice was rare for female singers in the 60's! There will never be another female singer with a voice like Gale Garnett or Karen Carpenter, one in a million!

NOTE: Ms. Garnett - though beautiful - is very real, with a real body and a real face; she works the camera with untutored, organic sense (i.e.: flash a smile to camera 2)...and then her vocal talent takes it from there. It's hard to a recall a time when they wanted you for your voice and that was all, and if you didn't have the voice you weren't gonna make it. All of these reality shows ('Idol', 'The Voice' et al.) are an attempt to recapture that, but they fail because they demand technique over artistry - Garnett just sings, unaffected, unembellished - and that's the artistry.)

Know who else did that? Tina Turner.

Great to reflect back to the 60's. Always loved We'll Sing in the Sunshine, and recently became more intrigued. How did Gale Garnett handle relationships later in life? She wrote this song in her early 20's during a cultural shift, which may have influenced her early perception of relationships. Did she get married and have a family??

wow! One of the many terrific songs by Gale that somehow never made it to be big hits. There's so few videos circulating of her performing, this is a real rare treat! Thanks so much !!

I heartily concur ! It's a shame she never had another song that hit it as big as "We'll Sing in the Sunshine". She had the looks & talent to be one of the biggest recording stars ever !

I listened to her sing "we'll sing in the sunshine" LOTS of times at the RCA TV manufacturing
plant over the plant intercom on South Rogers Street, Bloomington IN. in 1964. They played it
several times over and over. I believe RCA may have had a hand in some of her recordings.

It’s really too bad there aren’t many (if any!) singers performing TODAY who possess the high level of talent that Gale Garnett had back in 1966…

Interestingly, Gale Garnett facially looked like a combination of Alexandra Moltke (Victoria Winters on "Dark Shadows") and Gilda Radner ( "Saturday Night Live")!
