Kid Buu's actually a lot weaker than Buuhan (despite liberties taken by the dub implying he's stronger). If he was still that strong, Goku and Vegeta wouldn't have a prayer without fusion. He's just dangerous because he's so aggressive and crazy. As sadistic as Buuhan was, there was at least some reason to him and his actions. Kid Buu is totally without reason. He's pure chaos.

Then there's Super Buu himself: Why was Gohan so special, requiring this elaborate plan on Buu's part to defeat him, if he's already seen Goku in action? Why wasn't he similarly impressed with Goku? He didn't know Goku was dead: when he turned up at the lookout, he didn't ask for Goku, he asked for the fighter that Goku had promised and was irritated that Goku wasn't there to keep his promise. If he was after a good fight, why didn't he demand Goku instead? And why didn't he spend time thinking up a plan on how to deal with Goku the same way he did Gohan? The obvious answer is that both Super Buu and Gohan are superior to SSJ3 Goku. And, by extension, superior to Kid Buu.

However, his actual name is merely Buu, as this was how he was originally created by Bibidi. Also, this version of Buu isn’t necessarily the strongest, per se, but according to official sources, he IS the most dangerous, as he is the most primal, unpredictable, and therefore, the most notorious. He’s literally a wild beast that can endlessly regenerate, distort his body, absorb his opponents and borrow their power and abilities, and blow up planets. He has literally ZERO chill.

I think of it like this. All the buus are immensely powerful but different versions have different motivations and are less or more primal. Super Buu, Kid Buu and Majinbuu (evil fat Buu) all had the same power potential because they literally all had the exact same body. The fused versions had more power. Buutenks had piccolos and Gotenks power added to his own. Buuhan had Gohans power added to his own. The only weaker incarnation of Buu was good fat Buu.

"Goku should have easily saved them." Now that is a popular opinion that even I also formed, but when you look at the manga, Earth's destruction was almost instantaneous. The anime just dragged out the scene for the sake of dramatic suspense. Goku had only mere seconds to grab whomever he could in the manga and the closest people were obviously Dende and Hercule. Not for the sake of the Dragon Balls because that didn't turn out very well...but because Goku didn't want to leave anyone behind, which...didn't turn out very well either. It's a lose/lose situation. Amongst Gohan and the others are also Tien and Chiaotzu.

Definitely an insane version, kid Buu takes his regeneration skills to the limit, he will take hits just to blow up the enemy if he wanted, hence his joy in blowing up planets without hesitation by killing himself in the process.

Here's a fun fact: Majin means magical, demon, & evil. And that's what Buu is. An evil genie basically born for pure destruction & chaos. Buu saga is essentially the magic saga.
The crazy part is waaaaay down the line in Super we see that Dai Kaio could have trashed buu but he lost a ton of his power defeating moro way before buu ever appeared

To be clear the powerscaling of Majin Bu is: Buuhan > Buutenks > Buuccolo > Super Bu > Buff Bu (Sud Kai Absorbed) > Kid Bu (The Original) > Fat Bu He loses a good amount of power but gains the magic of the Supreme Kai) > Evil Bu (Grey One) > Good Bu (The weakest since most of the power was in the evil part)

Kid Buu is the original, distilled Chaotic Evil that plagued Universe 7 millennia ago. When Vegeta pulled Fat Buu loose from Super Buu's core, it turned out Super Buu was technically a 'fusion' of sorts. By severing Good Buu, Super Buu suffered a Cessation of Existence, since his being was dependent on the two Buus remaining 'fused'. Unfortunately, Kid Buu, or 'Pure Buu' if you're a 'purist', has no sense of impulse control. Hes basically a child with universe breaking power with no understanding for the concepts of right or wrong, let alone the ability TO understand them. This is even reflected during his battles. Sure, he laughs, A LOT, but its more because of how fun it is for him. Even when he manages to thrash you stupid, its more 'Ha, I got to hit you!' than say... Cell or Frieza relishing in their sadistic cruelty or basking in their might, or making their victims suffer in despair. To him, his 'enemies' are fun toys he gets to play with, and he'll stress that to their very limits and then some. Unfortunately for Universe 7, he considers all of it a toy...

Kid Buu, while not the strongest Buu (Buutenks and Buuhan are stronger) is the most dangerous and destructive since he's completely insane and is just a rampaging madman that destroys everything in his path. Since he's a manifestation of evil, and the Kais are beings of purity, each Kai he absorbed actually weakened him instead of making him stronger.
There's a lot of debate about who's stronger because the anime contradicts the manga, the key take away is kid buu has no impulse control , he's physical chaos

As a result, Kid Buu uses his elasticity and regeneration powers far better than any of the other Buu's have shown

Aimin bro, this was the episode I legit cried as a kid watching the earth getting blown up. Goku watching helpless just like me, and no talk like Frieza just action. Oh and for Buu, the original form is Kid Buu. Fat Buu is a product of Kid Buu absorbing the Grand Supreme Kai, and the kindness of the Grand Supreme Kai changed Buu. Now things get complicated tho. After Mr. Satan got shot, Fat Buu expelled all the evil inside him and he became Good Buu. The evil inside him took form as Evil Buu (the grey one), like Kami and King Piccolo one good one evil. Now see it as this, Fat Buu is the opposite of Super Buu. Fat Buu is just Good Buu being in control, and Super Buu is Evil Buu being in control. But since Vegeta ripped away Good Buu from Super Buu, he reverted back to his original form. There is no “Evil Buu” to go back to, because Evil Buu is just a part of Fat Buu, that manifested itself when it got expelled and decided to take over control. It’s really complicated, but hey it’s magic so I try not to bother too much.
Something to note is the kid buu is weaker than Buuhan. It’s just the kid buu is an absolute insane beast that has no restrictions mentally. He does whatever the hell he wants and destroys anything

Now that is a popular opinion that even I also formed, but when you look at the manga, Earth's destruction was almost instantaneous. The anime just dragged out the scene for the sake of dramatic suspense. Goku had only mere seconds to grab whomever he could in the manga and the closest people were obviously Dende and Hercule. Not for the sake of the Dragon Balls because that didn't turn out very well...but because Goku didn't want to leave anyone behind, which...didn't turn out very well either. It's a lose/lose situation. Amongst Gohan and the others are also Tien and Chiaotzu.

Definitely an insane version, kid Buu takes his regeneration skills to the limit, he will take hits just to blow up the enemy if he wanted, hence his joy in blowing up planets without hesitation by killing himself in the process.

Kid Buu is the original, distilled Chaotic Evil that plagued Universe 7 millennia ago. When Vegeta pulled Fat Buu loose from Super Buu's core, it turned out Super Buu was technically a 'fusion' of sorts. By severing Good Buu, Super Buu suffered a Cessation of Existence, since his being was dependent on the two Buus remaining 'fused'. Unfortunately, Kid Buu, or 'Pure Buu' if you're a 'purist', has no sense of impulse control. Hes basically a child with universe breaking power with no understanding for the concepts of right or wrong, let alone the ability TO understand them. This is even reflected during his battles. Sure, he laughs, A LOT, but its more because of how fun it is for him. Even when he manages to thrash you stupid, its more 'Ha, I got to hit you!' than say... Cell or Frieza relishing in their sadistic cruelty or basking in their might, or making their victims suffer in despair.
To him, his 'enemies' are fun toys he gets to play with, and he'll stress that to their very limits and then some.

Kid Buu, while not the strongest Buu (Buutenks and Buuhan are stronger) is the most dangerous and destructive since he's completely insane and is just a rampaging madman that destroys everything in his path. Since he's a manifestation of evil, and the Kais are beings of purity, each Kai he absorbed actually weakened him instead of making him stronger.

Kid Buu doesn't care about honor or if he gets hurts, all he cares about is seeing how much it takes him to break something. As a result, Kid Buu uses his elasticity and regeneration powers far better than any of the other Buu's have shown

Oh and for Buu, the original form is Kid Buu. Fat Buu is a product of Kid Buu absorbing the Grand Supreme Kai, and the kindness of the Grand Supreme Kai changed Buu. Now things get complicated tho.
After Mr. Satan got shot, Fat Buu expelled all the evil inside him and he became Good Buu. The evil inside him took form as Evil Buu (the grey one), like Kami and King Piccolo one good one evil. Now see it as this, Fat Buu is the opposite of Super Buu. Fat Buu is just Good Buu being in control, and Super Buu is Evil Buu being in control. But since Vegeta ripped away Good Buu from Super Buu, he reverted back to his original form. There is no “Evil Buu” to go back to, because Evil Buu is just a part of Fat Buu, that manifested itself when it got expelled and decided to take over control.
It’s really complicated, but hey it’s magic so I try not to bother too much.
Kid Buu is as strong as Super Buu before he absorbs anyone. The reason why Kid Buu is more dangerous is because he's more ruthless
