Dabura's real personality WAS evil. But he's also a demon. He was sent to heaven because King Yemma figured a demon would enjoy being in hell, so he sent him to heaven instead, which turned his soul good, and he ended up enjoying it anyways. But if he ever regained his evil, I'm sure he would hate it in retrospect.

In looking at his assault on Conton City in Xenoverse 2 & at everything from the “Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Dark Empire” Saga, Dabura is definitely family oriented. Considering the natural conflict between the Demons & the Kai’s though, I can see Dabura as one of those characters that could have been a good guy in different circumstances.
Honestly - the fact that his sister started harassing the Z-fighters because of what they did to Dabura speaks to how much of a good brother Dabura is; not many villains are willing to screw with space and time to revive their family.

I believe Buu was so overwhelmed because Buu's fusion probably adds the powers of people he absorbs to his own but in Vegito's case, their powers were multiplied

@@GodFusionShiro The problem with Vegito is that he's SO powerful, and he's got so much hype surrounding him, that the only way they can really make use of him is if they introduce asspull plot reasons why he can't be used all the time to beat the crap out of every enemy that threats then planet. And to have a reason why he can "lose" a fight, despite being so stupidly powerful.

Buuhan was easily the STRONGEST variant of Buu.. but with all the absorbed bodies he was becoming too humanized and throughout this fight with Vegito you could see where the writers and animators literally made his regeneration more taxing/painful on him each time he did it.

As a kid, I thought the fight was drawn out for entertainment. But understanding Vegito could've eviscerated Buu at any moment but instead planned on being absorbed to save his friends and family is why I think this is one of the best DBZ fights
I get the feeling that the Potara fusion has more of Vegeta's personality at the forefront. While the dance has Goku as more of a focus.
Vegito's personality seems cocky after understanding a more martial arts influence to it. Gogeta's personality feels more like he's gotten a power supercharge so he goofs off like Goku but gives you the big moves as he knows it's time to be serious
Thats why vegito says that he is the fusion of Vegeta and kakarot and gogeta says he is from Goku and vegeta
It's mostly a personality trait with the fusions. They get really cocky in a fight, but yes. In this fusion, the Vegeta part is more dominant and like the original, he wants to dominate and humiliate his opponent before finish him off. On the other hand, the Vegito fusion is brilliant and had a plan from the beginning (you'll see it in the next episode)

Gogeta (from fusion born)- quickly finished the fight
Gogeta (from broly movies)- took it kind of serious but enjoyed the fight
Gogeta (GT)- was kind of cocky, goofy and playful because of GT goku kind of acting like a child
He acts like that to irritate Buu and toys with him so he can get absorbed to save everyone. If you watch when he fights Zamasu he acts nothing like how he did with Buu because his only objective was to defeat him and not save his friends/family.
"Gohabuu" has got to be the funniest fusion name ever!? 🤣

A fusion of Goku and Vegeta is unironically one of the best fighters in the universe because the 2 of them are like ying and yang in personality and fighting style:
Vegeta is very arrogant, but fights very aggressively, usually overwhelming opponents with combo attacks, sneak attacks, and a willingness to kill, however he struggles to keep up with changes in a fight and if he loses the upper hand then he starts "tilting" and loses his tactical advantage because he gets too angry
Goku on the other hand is very humble having grown up losing a lot of fights (the first World Martial Arts tournament has Master Roshi enter under a secret identity JUST so he can beat Goku and Krillin to humble them, because he knew if one of them won their first ever tournament that it would go to their heads and ruin them as fighters after that), he likes "playing" in his fights and gradually ramping up to meet the level of his opponent, and only beats them after seeing the best they can do, and he rarely kills unless absolutely necessary, his big strength is that he can adapt to changes on the fly very quickly with an even temper and has very unpredictable methods to counter-attack which come from him learning from a lot of different masters and fighters over the years (and also growing up as basically a hillbilly), but his soft heart also means he can be naive and fall for tricks that someone as skeptical as Vegeta wouldn't fall for
the two of them combined evens out their flaws and enhances their strengths, creating a truly fearsome fighter, even if you don't take power level into account their knowledge and technique combined are arguably more valuable

Vegito is easily my favorite fusion, and Character, although both Gogeta and Vegito are awesome. Gotenks is great too, he might be a bit annoying and goofy but we gotta remember he's like 7 or something 💀 Vegito's clowning on Buuhan is my favorite part of the Buu Saga aside from the entire Majin Vegeta segment, and something else coming soon.

Btw he didn’t fuse with gohan he absorbed him. With fusion it multiples the power but for buu it seems to just add it on. Also he still has the powers of goten, trunks and piccolo as well. So it’s basically just adding their powers on top of his own
It doesn’t just add their powers. He also gains speed and strength so it’s almost like fusion. Except with fusion, it’s a whole different character with his own abilities.

Personally my favorite stretch of DBZ is from the start of the Trunks saga up till the end of the Cell Games saga. Having said that, I can't deny that the Buu saga is the franchise's best example of things going from good, to bad, to worse, to "holy shit we're all totally boned!"

When Buu absorbs others, it's like his power gets added with theirs but Potara Fusion of Vegito multiplies Goku and Vegeta's powers and significantly magnified. That is why even at Base form , Vegito is way stronger than SSJ3 Goku, Mystic Gohan or SSJ3 Gotenks.

When Vegito lifted Buu up.. that’s Vegito’s signature technique. It’s called a ki blade, it’s been only used twice canonically as Vegito... once in Z against Buuhan and the other in Dragon Ball Super against Merged Zamasu.

Daizenshuu states that Potara is Person A x Person B. So the scaling makes sense for Vegito to dominate. Fusion dance is weaker. The “retcon” that people use to say they’re equal was not an artist statement.
@Aimin Dabura was actually sent to hevan because king yemma originally sent him to hell but Dabura was to much of a handle full for hell he literally tried to conquer it because it felt like home so as punishment king yemma chose to send him to hevan which actually made Dabura reflect on his life and on his fight with buu and it made him turn good.

Fun fact: In all fusions they let speak the voiceactors together to create a mix of their voices. Exept the German version.
In Dragon Ball franchise, you have two ways to fuse. One way did Trunks and Goten with the stance. The other way is by ear rings (Potaras) from a kai. Since the potaras are from gods, this fusion holds for eternity.
If you want to see Goku and Vegeta with the fusion dance, you should watch the film with Janemba (called fusion birth ?) or Dragon Ball GT.
I know, Dragon Ball Super takes place two or four years after DBZ. But it is more a side story since GT plays decades later and was made in 1995 or like that. Whatever you see in Super does not matter for GT.
