Perfect timing on this video. I flew my whoop into a big tree last night. After 10 throws of the football as the branch it was stuck on, I got a 50' length of para-cord, tied some brass rings at one end and then flung the weights at the branch until it got a good hook and I was able to shake the drone out of the tree. A few good tugs later and the weights and rope came down as well.

Glad you got yours back! Personally, love the feeling of retrievals

Take an old fishing rod, twist some thick wire into a hook and tape it to the end.
Now you have an extendable drone retrieving tool.

Sadly, I don’t fish or this will be something that comes to mind lol

Excellent kit recommendation. I need to do this ASAP. I was flying my Baby Nano v2 today and the wind realllly picked up with a huge gust and I pretty narrowly avoided putting it in a tree - I stomped the throttle at just the right time.

Yeah, it is definitely a piece in mind to have this stick around, when you need it you need it

That’s my biggest fear when it’s going to happen I feel like the VTX is going to burn when my tiny whoop such as my Meteor65 pro and NewBeeDrone Hummingbird V3 yk LOL

Yes, this goes for all the drone pilots. The VTX should be fine as it will shut down in the event of overheating and good things is these lipo dont last long
