  • In this video I am sharing a process of laying out a scene with 3D objects in Clip Studio Paint and then creating patterns for the windows. This is similar to how you might detail a 3D object for a game.
This can help us visualize a scene more interactively and explore a variety of ideas while quickly adjusting the perspective.
Let me know if you like this process and what methods do you use to detail your backgrounds? Comment below and thanks for watching! :)

Great stuff! More Clip Studio Paint videos please. I haven't been watching all your videos because they've focused more on Procreate for the last while.

Great tutorial. I think you can experiment with working on vector layers for these types of things. This will solve the problem with sizing and quality as well as open up a lot of tools to speed up the drawing process like vector eraser.
But this is a solid effective method. Building your own library is a great idea.

@@RobertMarzullo Tried it last night with the line tool, which alone looks stiff, if you add triangular wedge shapes for line weights and use linear ruler it looks alive.

Thank you very much for your work. As an ipad user, do you have a chance to explain these features through the ipad? Thank you for everything you do

Thanks, Rob! I haven't used CSP in awhile, mostly work on Procreate on the iPad. Have you tried this technique on the iPad version of CSP, or is it even possible in the mobile version. Thanks for all you do!

I let go of my monthly app version for a while because I enjoy the desktop version but yes it does have all the same features. You’re welcome and more on the way!

It really is a powerful program. Even better than Photoshop. Especially for the price!
