- In this video I exchange concept art with Trent from Miscast, and end up making the coolest piece ever based on his design! This piece is designed to fit on a standard shelf, but can be expanded to make a massive tower spire or several different layouts.
Check out Trent's video to see what he did with the concept I drew for him: • My Favourite Model I'v...

Love you nerds
Yes please
This was so cool! Great inspiration and great execution.
fan submitted concept art?
Inspiring! Come over here next year and help me build my Necromunda campaign table!
... and play too, I suppose ;)
Yeah I’m down. I have a cousin who lives in Essex
You better make that video. Or else.
There's an alternate universe where this happened, but alas not this one
I liked how you widened out that granny grate and also the gun-tower. Also I like the resin and the shanty. Also the whole thing is pretty sweet.
Thanks Brent. I was really happy with the grating too.
A little eco-friendly tip: I´ve seen many terrain projects where people fill empty space with perfectly usable materials. So, almost everything you buy (mostly food) comes in plastic bags that go to the trash. If you clean them, let them dry, and save them, when you need to fill something, instead of using cardboard or other material that maybe isn't expensive but it's usable, you can recycle plastic. The oceans will thank you if you do that.
That “we learn the art of the blade” line made me burst out laughing
I bet that quote will make Bard’s Craft happy!
You are probably the best at weathering these type of projects.
Thanks man! Thats very kind. I have learned a lot in the past year through trial and error and lucky mistakes.
@@EricsHobbyWorkshop you’re the channel I come to when I need some pointer on it.
Love the build man. I'm a little late getting to these two vids but you guys killed it with this collab. Awesome pieces both of you!!
Thanks Neil!
Awsom see what can grab out of your oldmans Garage or ur Garage & friends mancave
Awesome job. I'm not a terrain builder but your stuff is so inspiring. If I had the patience I wouldn't have enough room to store it all.
I love this side of youtube.
this is a perfect well of ideas for me as I just finished my Esher gang, and those girls deserve a nice home.
I also have to make a nice hut filled with metal junk for their lil' ambot buddy.
You make it look so easy , turns out awsome everytime realy like the things you make
Thanks ! Glad you like my style of stuff
You can do it too man!
That came out great!
.....hold on a second, I have to pick my jaw up off the floor. WOW!
It'd be a cool experiment to try to do multiple layers of the masking technique, like it's an ancient machine that's had millennia of basic maintenance done to it.
I have been experimenting with that actually!
Dude! This looks so sick, as always. Your style is so distinct that it’s hard to describe. Your builds fall into that category of industrial that feels like something you’d see outside of a cyber punk city. Loved the build man, I always look forward to seeing your process
glad I found your channel, been with you since 1500 subs, you are an inspiration for us small channels, keep up your good work.
An OG! Glad you are still around!
@@EricsHobbyWorkshop your content kept me around, appreciate ya man!
Another home run! As others have pointed out, your weathering is the best in the game, and I consider the drooping wires to be one of your signature moves, I never really saw anyone else integrating that until you came around. You have become an absolute heavyweight in the game in such a short amount of time, I'm always stoked to see a new video in my notifs. Keep up the good work man, we all love it!
Great build, love the weathering effect, I need to get a bunch of those plastic pipes they look great in builds =)
Hey hey just finished a desert terrain mat about to start on the rocks tomorrow you video on desert terrain inspired me man cheers
First timer viewer from miscast! This was a great video! 1+ subscriber!
Nice, welcome!
Besides the cool builds I always really enjoy your choice of music, man
Do you have the credits or songs used somewhere? I really liked the track for the final glamor shots
Hey man , any luck finding the name of the song ?
Not sure exactly what the outro track is but it reminds me a lot of Gesaffelstein and the Doom Eternal soundtrack
Y E S .
Awesome! Makes me want to get back into the hobby again.
The siren song of crafting is powerful indeed
Was waiting for a new video!!!! Keep up the amazing work and stay healthy.
Amazing build. I love your channel!
P.S. What is the music in the final montage called?
I happen to know: Danger snow: ruclips.net/video/X4KYTFEJuFI/видео.html
@@bramverbeek7109 thanks man!
@@snimpanzee I only knew because another channel used it for their streams and it was often requested. It's a bit like Doom music.
"With a piece of pencil"
-Eric
I said Pisa Pencil. Its a high end imported pencil from Italy
@@EricsHobbyWorkshop Oh sorry, still sounded funny though.
Edit I can't tell if this is a joke or not.
@@MrPug-dt4sd i was joking lol. You caught me misspeaking. I recorded the voiceover at like 3 am and was losing my marbles
@@EricsHobbyWorkshop I dun goofed my 3 brain cells thought you were telling the truth for like 5 minutes.
@@EricsHobbyWorkshop Was it a whole pencil? No? Then it was a piece of pencil. That's how English works.
Great project all around. Killer paint job and rust effects.
@Eric's Hobby Workshop what is the music at the end it sounds awesome
Eric WHATS THE MUSIC AT THE END I MUST KNOW???????
Agreed!
Yes yes
I really want to know also!
It's from the Cyberpunk 2077 OST if I am not mistaken
I happen to know: Danger snow: ruclips.net/video/X4KYTFEJuFI/видео.html
Good thing I have my tetanus shot because I want to lick these rusty surfaces. The weathering just keeps getting better and better.
Awesome!! This screams Necromunda. To the underhive!!!
I'm still not brave enough to pour resin in any large quantities but thanks for the tips and the great build!
Hahaha i was shaking like a leaf doing this. Easy Cast is pretty forgiving as resin goes if you want to dip your toe someday. Except for that one time when i poured it too thick and it started smoking
Im always so inspired by your industrial builds, but this one is extra awesome. Plus that was probably the smoothest patreon pitch I've heard yet.
I cannot wait for your 'I quit my job to focus on my channel' video, you are hands down the best crafter. Great personality, great humor, awesome little tidbits of knowledge. Looking forward to seeing much more. (subbed ages ago and subbed to almost every other crafter, like them all as well, but you are the best👍🏻)
Damn, that was cool as hell. I had a big stupid grin on my face for most of this video. It was so much fun to watch. Your rust effects are amazing! Best rust effects I've seen on anyone's channel. Loved this build a lot, thanks for sharing!
Eric thanks for the tip on the latex/toothbrush weathering that looks amazing! I want to make some old silo just to test it out on! Such a cool build! We study the blade lol fucking love it I also train in the old ways, defo just got a new fan here and love all these collab videos in the hobby community, please do more!!
Man, really outstanding work. Also your music choice is just perfect
You are one of my favorite builder with Wyloch. Thx for your awesome work.
It's OK to screw up 😍
Awesone build. The concept art you sent Trent reminds me of the style of Chris Riddell
I love the part of the video where you gave the dark streaks on the concrete. That's when the realism really started to come out.
What's with the cyberpunk 2077 music
It's nice tho
LOOOMIS nice! Didnt know you studied the art Drafts
Daam cool! Right now you are the BEST crafter in the net. Congratulations
Is your bits-box for terrain a walk-in closet? You always seem to have so many weird and great items.
Really nice build, and your sound quality has gotten so much better!
Much love!
Have you seen any of Scratch-Bashing's videos? There is a guy with a bitz warehouse rather than a bitz box :D I actually like the way that Erics uses basic stuff I might be able to get my hands on without having to turn in to a total pack-rat. :D
omg did i see a word bearer in there ?
You didn’t think i was gonna let those words bear themselves, did you?
You're a god. No joke man. Just know when people ask me why I started making terrain I shown them your videos and they always understand
Great work, as always :)
You always cheer me up. :) Lovely scenery and always so positive! I wish I could at least mimic that.
So I don’t play Warhammer, or any other table top games, and I’m not even sure how this came across my feed, but damn, you do great work, these are really cool.
I love the modular aspect of this build. Fantastic work.
It's great watching a video and seeing all the other youtubers making comments on it.
After watching a few of your videos yesterday and today: I would have to say you gain a subscriber.
I finished the natural bridge you inspired me to make with your last vid. Dry brushing the lighting effects was a genius move. Now I want to build something like this too. You have some of the best builds on the tube.
I wait with anticipation with each new additional video that you have. I have to say you have become one of the premier terrain builders that I follow! thank you for your inspiration to the terrain hobby and many long years of fruitful videos to come.
Two of my favourite channels, awesome work lads!
Found you through Miscast..... glad I did. Love the work 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Love it Eric, very well done.
Love those fetid water effects, they really sell the atmosphere!
It really reminds me of the town Megaton from Fallout 3
I am really glad you guys collaborated I am a fan of both of you :)
Great build! Love the approach!
Note: the plastruct sheets are showing as unavailable in the US on that link.
Great work on this piece Eric! I found your channel a few months back and you've inspired me to get back into the terrain side of the hobby. Keep up the great work :D
sweet job, man.. that is a piece to be proud of
I LOVE that concrete effect. it adds something to the grimdark aesthetic that feels like it always should have been there, but for some reason is rarely included. Amazing job man, especially the weathering effect. Top notch man.
Both of these projects are amazing 🤤
It looks excellent, and great form of collaboration, each giving the other a point of inspiration! When I finally get back to Necromunda (from Mordheim) I'm definitely going to have to make something like this. Though it looks a bit unstable with each piece freely moving? I think I'd want it all fixed (I know that takes up more space!)
Love the effect and color of that resin pour sir. Great stuff!
Love this all of your work is great! But this is really cool. Big fan!
The geometry of this build is absolutely killer.
Glad you like it!
This build was awesome! What is the music you use for your intro and showcase sections?
it looks dirty and aged, 11/10
Fantastic! This collaboration with Trent makes me feel spoiled. You both accomplished awesome builds that have been a joy to witness.
I just saw Miscasts video, and after finishing it, I immediately jumped to yours. Awesome job! I did love the rust effect, so will try and test it out my self. I also love the fact you used some kind of remix of cyberpunk? Might be mistaken but it sounded like cyberpunk Silver Hands theme.
Man, you're a beast at cutting foam with knifes (such clean cuts), you truly have studied the blade!
Ok, one. Really freaking cool build. I love the idea of swapping ideas with other creators and going ham. Secondly, how the hell did you keep a straight face with your patreon pitch? I would have cracked up about half a dozen times. Multi tiered structures are some of my favorite things to tinker with, great job on this.
AND CURSE YOU FOR THE CONTINUED SAND JOKES!
Love it man. Making a larger piece as a series of sub assemblies for easy storage is a great idea. Really have outdone yourself. Are you planning on fleshing out the canal network across more 12x12 tiles?
Been watching BOTH your channel and Miscast from the start. You guys started out good and have just gotten better with every vid. Love how this build turned out.
"We study the blade." - BEST
Also, best Patreon pitch I've heard. :)
Man, I just always LOVE how projects come ALIVE with that coat of primer. WOW. All that colourful piping, and bits and drabs of card board and plastic suddenly become one beautiful thing! And the paintjob as always, amazing. That crane thingy: WUT?! Crazy cool! Another awesome build.
love the terrain man! I just got back into hobby after a ten year hiatus,, ive been using alot of your tips for building a destroyed industrial structure, you are right like in previous videos its amazing how much time you can spend on such little tasks! i really like how you weather your projects and make it look really easy, thanks for all the awesome content man!
Excellent work! You boys really worked well together! Glad this community is so connected :)
Use packing tape or painters tape, for some reason resin doesn’t like to stick well to either.
Love what you did with the grating, literally said “wish I’d thought of that!”
Man, what a great way to start my day with each of your videos. I always forget just how much I like both your channel and Mistcast's channel until a new video comes out, then I instantly just want to go build, paint, and try new things.
13:53 I love how you lose it for a split second there
👌
Freaking awesome again!
I stopped using Masonite for basing and I have moved completely over to using Expanded PVC
My two favorite creators collaborated... fantastic. Great work!
Yup...best build to date...and that actually says a lot.
Those mini's are so sweet...especially the Night Lord!
Cheers, man!!!
what's the song at 19:43?
I keep trying to get these but...
Maybe in the future

i got my resin here... i got my dio here... and im scared to ruin ith with the pour ^^ well at least i finished an army in 24 hours and i can join the club ^^
You sir just gained a new sub! This is EXACTLY the style of diorama i'm looking to build. I'll soon be working on the 89 Batman Axis Chemical plant front entrance etc... your work has really inspired me.
Turned out great :)
Another fantastic video Eric. I think those chipboard I-beams are becoming part of your signature.
Salt and vinegar Pringle’s... I knew you was a real one 💪🏼
.
Great build btw!
That was sweet. Your gateway into patreon at the start was pure gold 👌
another collab within the community. I love it. Outstanding build sir.
late comment, but this is absolutely awesome. The sheer vertical playability is just *chef's kiss*. I hope you get inspired to make another 3 modules to make a full board in this style. So. Good.
hey, i really enjoy your videos. And i felt like seeing your face before. Now i know why. You look like the german actor "Raul Richter". Check it out and correct me if i am wrong ;-)
I really enjoyed this! The esthetics you make, hit all the right buttons for me. Thanks for the inspiration!! :)
