Hey bud, I thought you looked familiar! I've seen you on some of Corporals Corners videos. My questions to you are first how did that air matt work out? Was it comfortable, and how long have you had it? Also is it rugged enough to stand up to them sticks and twigs?? I've been looking for a good quality blow up sleep pad. Another thing is that water filtration system you used. Where did you get it and how much did it cost?? Great job with that bow drill!! Also I've never seen anyone carry there gear in a wool blanket. You really do look like a civil war soldier!! Also I wouldn't worry to much about your weight. You look like your build like me. Husky but strong! Anyways thanks for sharing! As soon as I get the time and save up the money. I want to take some of the classes at the Pathfinder school. With Dave Canterbury, Shawn Kelly, and the Grey Bearded Green Beret! I'd love to get to the point that I could be an instructor myself! All in good time! I just came across your channel today. I liked and subscribed. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your overnighters! That mac and cheese with hamburger looked good! God bless brother! Stay safe! And God bless America!🤜🤛🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hey Paul I haven’t been in any of his videos but he definitely knows his stuff! The Klymit mat held up fine and is comfortable. The water filtration bottle is a Grayl. $90 but worth every penny! thanks for watching

Pooter new sub here! Brother since I was a baby on my birthday my mom made that meal for me , but my man you’re missing one thing... RITZ crackers! Yes! Oh it’s not easy ,you only have to try and you will find out. It takes time and practice until you get it, I’m still practicing lol in Australia I can’t seem to find the right woods to use so that’s a problem at the moment. I’m not quitting though I’m determined to get it. 👍

A Civil War Re-enactor once told me that soldiers in the field were issued 3 coffee beans per day: beans they had to roast and grind before they could have coffee. Good job on the bedroll, looking forward to your next video.
Really great to see a normal person out practicing without fancy editing, putting on an act or anything fake'ish. Brilliant vid mate. Have subbed as well.
Great job. Your daughter will love to know that she inspired you to do this episode. That friction fire display was text book bushcrafting skill. Very impressive.

I love whole blanket bedroll idea. Great job. According to a lot of Civil War images and paintings the Confederates carried their haversacks on the opposite hip to your bedroll tie. Their pots were often tied to the outside of the haversack, but you did well to get all of your accoutrements in the roll! Nice going.

@@TonyPowers_Dirtbound Your welcome. I subscribed to your channel. Your are great and authentic so that's an awesome quality. Stand on the giants shoulders like Dave and see further ahead. As you pick up those tips and tricks, take 5-10 minutes of your time and show everyone. People will love you for showing them something they haven't seen. For instance, today I gave myself a haircut and then looked down at my hair and said to myself, "I bet that would make a great fire tinder like lint from the dryer." No one has ever taught that at least that I have seen. If you have ever burned some hair on your arm, you know what I am talking about. Lol. Keep up the great work my friend! God bless

My favorite camping meal is marinated steak tips shish kabob style with onions, peppers, and mushrooms. Along with baked potatoes cut open with butter, onions, peppers, and mushrooms, stuffed inside wrapped in tin foil rite on the fire. Usually rite on the coals. Also if you really want to make it even better. You can wrap the meat with bacon, and throw some cooked bacon inside the baked potato with the butter, peppers, onions, and mushrooms!
