- Here is everything to know about Forza Horizon 5 before the game launches on Nov 9th for all Xbox systems and PC.
Car fans rejoice, as one of game’s best racing franchises is back with Forza Horizon 5. The Horizon series is known for its more arcade-y take on the Forza formula, with gorgeous open worlds to explore and a seemingly endless amount to do. 5 looks to be no different and is a perfect time for new players to jump in thanks to its day one availability on Xbox game pass.

Just a quick tidbit. In this video he claims that on Series X it will have 4K 30 quality or a 1080P 60 performance… this is not correct… the actual specs are - 4K 30 with max graphics settings (quality mode) or a 4K 60 with high graphics settings (performance mode). This is no 1080P mode on the series X and that is amazing to me!!

@@otti3397 nah, high settings. Check out digital foundry's breakdown video. The said the image quality on performance still looks fantastic. Instead they MOSTLY cut down things like foliage density that don't impact gameplay or image quality much, if at all. Of course, quality does still look better.

@@Cyrribrae High settings is kind of the new medium of graphics options though since Ultra and Extreme options are above it. Forza is well optimized though so many will be in that mid and upper half

I'm Mexican and I've shown the trailers and previews to my aunts, especially those in the representation of Guanajuato, so far they've loved the game.
In many Mexican meme pages there has been a lot of memes regarding how accurate the game is in some aspects, like those unfinished brick houses.

The driving mechanics feel so much better, the Subarus sound so much better than before. When it rains the ground becomes more slippery and when you are going above 120 you really feel the speed as if you are in real

It’s gonna be annoying being robbed constantly by cartels and seeing people being beheaded in the streets and woods while I free roam. But I’m here for the graphics.
It is 4K on both 30fps and 60fps modes on Series X. They incorrectly said it was 108060 on performance mode.
It’s dynamic 4K on 60fps in performance. Not locked like it is in quality (4K @30fps)

@@stickygrenade I’ve seen comparison videos that show there isn’t really a lot of difference so I’ll be playing at 60fps all day long. The slight dip in quality of textures is worth it! 👍
I watched digital foundry on it and they said it was 4k in both 30fps and 60fps changes are made to hit 60 but its not to the rez
@@lukemorris9066 digital foundry are usually spot on. So I’ll give that a watch instead. If the textures are the same, then what’s the point of the different modes 🤔
I absolutely hate being forced to drive in winter season. Sometimes I just like to drive and drift on dry warm roads. Winter ruins that.

3 was revolutionary. 4 was the start of the dream come true open world racing game. Now with 5 I really think they have taken all the parts we love , removed some of the fat , and with a new gen console I think we have a classic on our hands.
Agreed. BUT if we didn’t have TEST DRIVE UNLIMITED back in 2006 (followed by TDU 2) we may never have had this amazing Horizon franchise. TDU was truly the Revolution

I’m British and Horizon 4 really felt like the UK. It’s amazing how well Playground Games can replicate the countries they base their games in. Hope you enjoy the feeling too!

This game is basically the same as fh4 with improved sounds and graphics, I get bored pretty fast after having a bit of fun, there aren’t many new cars added and a lot of cars missing. Fairly disappointing.

@@garden0fstone736 me too I’m definitely playing it more they just skimped out a bit, car customisation is essentially the same, same terrible body kits etc. I feel like I’m just playing no. 4 with better graphics and sound plus on a better map too.

I am from Mexico, I grew up in the city of Zacatecas and I was honestly say that it is very very accurate. I feel like I recognize some streets and buildings, some small towns in the north like Jimenez Chihuahua look so much like the roads in the game. Guanajuato being in the game is amazing. There have been a couple of things so far that has been like what the 0.o how did they know that? Things that are not accurate are little things like trashcans
I'm pretty sure for all those who want Japan, Playground games DEFINITELY knows that, but the reason they haven't planned for it yet is because technology hasn't caught up with their vision and their ultra high standard of what they want FH Japan to be. Just imagine how graphically crippling it would be if you have neon signs everywhere all reflected on wet tarmac with exclusively ray tracing. Not feasible with this gen hardware.

Can we get Japan already? Can have the mountains from like initial d and Mt Fuji, the forest with bamboo, and the cityscape in 4k would be fucking incredible. I'd solely drive a tuned up rx-7 Fd the whole damn time. I don't feel alone here lmao.

The visuals look amazing and I’m loving the gameplay. But I’m a bit annoyed by the commentary in the game and how everyone is so overly enthusiastic …..it’s like they’re trying so hard to sell me on everything being so fun and “hip” at this festival

Remember: You pay extra to play games when they launch; if you don't pay the extra then you have to wait until later.
If you can play Horizon 5 on November 5th, then the game is 'live' ie. 'launched'. Those who didn't pay extra have to wait until the 9th.

Better wheel support is all they need to add for me honestly, anything else is icing on the cake! Other than maybe a high fidelity VR mode that incorporates the full game, not just a slice of it.

Chill, it will only rain in the winter unless you go up high in altitude
The seasons are still there but we aren't forced to drive in snow for a week in this one.
It won’t have the same changes as fh4. Winter and Spring are dry seasons, and Summer and Fall are wet seasons. Basically, in winter and spring there won’t be rain and maybe more dust storms or something similar, also very tiny details like sand filling up cracks or lower water levels. While in the wet season, there’ll just be a lot of rain and maybe an oasis would be formed.

The first thing I’d do is get the Ford bronco and then when I earn some credits get the f450 and inject it with steroids to become a super duty vehicle so I can fly through the dirt and through the volcano

The quality and performance modes on Series X are both 4K.
Performance mode dials back some minor things like foliage density and other difficult to spot things to achieve 60 fps at 4K, not 1080p.
Both modes are very difficult to tell apart graphically.
the next Forza Horizon should take place in Bahrain. I'm sure the developers can put the whole map in game because its a small Kingdom. It has cities, villages, historic temples and castles, open desert, long highway and F1 race track.

I hope they optimize it just a bit more. I run 60 FPS but when in a sand storm or heavy vegetation it dips to 50 and it’s not that big of a deal but it’s def noticeable. I feel like they can still optimize a little better in future
If that's on PC it's more aboutnyour settings. I used GeForce experience optimizer and I get a solid 72 no matter what.

I hate what Horizon has become smh Hopefully someone else can do an open world semi realistic racer with accurate engine noises. The soul left this series after Horizon 2 imo.
They make a game for you its called forza.... They specifically make horizon for those of us who want to have fun driving really well made cars... In ways you never could irl.... If you complain that the product thats meant to be different is different youre the problem not the game....

@@shady8261 After FH2, they dropped the focus on a overarching story, the emphasis on the festival, and the appreciable balance between realism and arcadey driving. Horizon 4 literally had no main story, the festival was relegated to a small portion of the map, and they made impossible jumps a part of the core gameplay. A lot of fans miss having cutscenes with characters whose names you can remember, jamming out at the festival, and a sense of satisfaction when the credits rolled because you accomplished something greater than just collecting several hundred cars.

This is the one game I'm jealous that xbox has, though that doesn't weigh out the ps5 exclusives.

so instead of giving us custom wheel offsets we get character prostetics & pronouns
Just because it isn't important to you, doesn't mean it's not important to anyone else. Also pronouns and prosthetics are simple model and script changes, while wheel offsets require changes to the driving model, which is much more work.

There is a campaign ("adventure"), but it's not progression and working your way up the line of cars like some people want (but I say meh to them). Here it's more about exploring and discovering Mexico. Voice acting, scenarios, tasks. I don't really remember fh2 having much of a campaign.. So more than that game probably
A couple more sleeps and I got EPIC adventures ahead of me. Tomorrow is Just Dance 2022. November now feels like Christmas this year.
I have bought fh2, fh3, and finally fh5. Forgot to buy the first one and fh4 just seemed meh placed I rural Britain and not london. I played fh4 on gamepass and it just wasn't worth my money fh5 seems very promising tho
