Soho in the 90s was a crazy time for record shops. You had literally 50+ stores on just a few streets. Sad those days are gone but happy that i was there at the time.
Nice little haul there Thomas. I need to get that Ripping Corpse album still and I definitely need to check out some Virus. Glad you had a good time in our capital city. Cheers mate
I hope that Ripping Corpse will get a reissue, but that will likely never happen due to the rights of it. As a UK man, you really need to check out Virus! Cheers James 🤘
I visited London a year ago and went to some record shops in London, including the Soho area. Didn't grab much but the best find is the original 12" of Swans' Young God at Reckless Records for a very decent price. The other time I visited London in 2017, one of the best finds ever is a 12" EP test pressing of Motorhead's Killed By Death for only 7 quid.
Awesome vlog of my fair land Tom! Really cool you got to see some sights in London and some record stores! My mum used to go Camden all the time in the 80's, she said it was great back then, sounds like it still is now! Some cool pickups too. Next time you visit London let me know, would be great to meet up 😁🤘🏻
Cheers Josh! There were still plenty more stores to visit, but not enough time (and money)! Camden was great, very alternative. I was there with my sister, but next time I'm in the UK I'll see if I can hit you up.
@mercyfulmetal7324 You're welcome mate! Ah yeah, there are lots of record stores in London, you would have done well to find them all! Nice, I'm glad you liked Camden, I've been passed it because it's close to Kentish Town and I've been there for gigs. But I've never been, yeah I think it's always been a good place for alternative people, that's why my mum used to love going! Ahh nice one, yeah that would be awesome! Cheers man, yeah it would be great to meet up when you come again 😁🤘🏻🤘🏻
Hi Thomas!!! Well done and cool to see you had a good time in London.... it's a big city to go record hunting and trying to find true gems for a fair price too. Anyhow, it's always nice to leave town and go to a different place and get great records for the collection. That UK comp looks really cool and also the Virus lp.... cheers and be well
Nice little haul, sir. I recently picked up the picture disc of "Doomsday News" I'd love an OG press of Demigod but I reckon the chance of finding one at a decent price is impossible 🤘
I used to go into Belfast on a Saturday in the 70s and 80s , with cash from my weekly work. It was not unusual that I came home, after having a few pints, via bus, with 8 vinyl albums. Oh I also bought a news paper. On my travels meat pie in the pub. Had my beers and a smoke at my table, whilst watching the pub TV. Total cost around, £30. If I bought 8 albums. If I only got two, obviously it was much less. I could afford a few more beers. Every record shop in Belfast, and their were many, had a large selection of rock ranging all across the board. The gramophone shop. Caroline music, etc. Then vinyl went out of fashion. In came cd. Which was costly. But I kept going to get album's. Maybe that's why I ended up with 4,000+ albums. Vinyl, cd, tape. Now that vinyl is now back in fashion, it costs an arm and a leg to buy one single album. £15-20 for one album, no thanks.
Looks like a great record hunting and sightseeing holiday you had in London. I have the 2 Doomsday News comps, both excellent comps 🤘🤘good 2nd Virus album, I prefer the 3rd one Lunacy though. The debut is very punky and wasn’t for me. Great video mate
Jurgen strickly told me to stay away from the second Doomsday album, hahaha. There were specific songs on this one I really wanted! London was a fantastic city.
Vet! Afgelopen 2 jaar brabant limburg en belgie meeste shops wel gehad. Komend jaar wellicht stukkie duitsland en midden nederland mee pakken. Engeland niet echt verstandig voor mij maar zeker vet. Succes man.
Nice job on the edit. Its a shame it takes as long as it does. Slumber is great and i know you love that Ripping Corpse album. Thats the second Virus album but the first is even worse 😂
Last time I was record shopping in London was in 1991, hahaha... That "Doomsday News" comp is fantastic for the "unreleased" songs alone, I can listen to it like a normal album by a band, no real stinkers on it. I like the scond Virus album but prefer the debut, a real TRASH (yes, without the H) classic. Termo Nuclear Thrash forever, hahaha...
Not a compilation guy but this one was on my list, mainly because of Arrogance in Uniform! I think it is my favorite Coroner track. Wasn't it recorded during the RIP sessions? I really need to check out the first Virus album, haha. I do like some trash!

Virus "Pray for War" is the debut album.
Awesome! I’d love to visit London someday. Looks like you had a great time. Good for you! Cheers
Cheers Anthony 🤘. London is really recommended!
Nice video, London is beautiful! Been there around christmas time, simply wonderful! Next saturday to Den Bosch? I've got my searchlist ready!
You can find me in Den Bosch saturday! Hahaha

great video mate I always enjoy shopping vids and Camden looked quite interesting
Camden definitely worth a visit! Good to hear you liked it 🤘

There were tons more record stores, but not enough time (and money, haha) to visit them all. I am very happy with what I brought home!
Удачная была поездка-поздравляю Томас!
Cheers my friend 🤘

Yeah I would love an OG of that Demigod as well, but I don't want to sell my kidneys, hahaha.
Nice pick-ups. That Virus album is pretty good. I love how the drummer can barely keep up with the rest of the band.
Very happy with what I brought home! That Virus is such a fun album, had to pick up a UK release.
Visited the Chicago branch of Reckless Records recently whilst on a short holiday.
Is it the same company?

The ripping corpse and demigod rule. Is the demigod a boot too? The drowned original is worth $150+
Definitely a boot, haha. Still hoping to find an original of that Demigod for a less than god awful price. Until then, this CD will blast!
Vet!

Zwolle en Deventer zijn de steden waar ik altijd heen ga om te scoren. Daar zitten een paar van de beste!
Nice job on the edit. Its a shame it takes as long as it does. Slumber is great and i know you love that Ripping Corpse album. Thats the second Virus album but the first is even worse 😂
I was just a little too lazy to take the time and edit is, lol. I really need to check out the first Virus then, if it is good bad or just bad bad.

Stond de stofzuiger aan :)
Ja 😭
Salut Thomas. The vinyl records are very expensive in London.👎
Unfortunately! Could've picked up way more
