Buddy Rich the ONE the ONLY Greatest Drummer to have drawn breath. Jerry Lewis the late great Jerry Lewis had complete respect and admiration for Buddy Rich. Buddy and Jerry were great great friends. We have lost Buddy and and Jerry. Their accomplishments will sustain forever. Always in the hearts of every one. thank you for posting this.

Jerry made me laugh and laugh when I was a kid. He and Buddy brought so much joy to so many and then you have the devils who bring nothing but terror and heart ache to others. Some go to heaven while others go to hell.

Buddy and Jerry were the best of friends. this performance of the band was from the 1986 telethon. Jerry rebroadcast the performance in 1987 as this was the year that Buddy died.

Rather see Art Blakey, Gene Krupa or Max Roach and their bands than Buddy & his bunch. Still RIP Buddy, Art, Gene, and Max. Did see Buddy Rich in Concert at West Virginia Wesleyan, he was great but wasn't impressed by the band. My vote for best drummer goes to Art Blakey.

Buddy Rich and Jerry Lewis, 2 showbiz icons. Buddy was a good friend of Johnny Carson's. He gave Johnny a drumset.

What brand drums are those? He usually used Slingerland or Ludwig, and for a while, Fibes, but I don't recognize the logo on those drums.

@@bigswingface5847 I had a set of vintage Radio Kings back in highschool in the '70's. Wish I still had them. Now that you say that, I can see it in hardware. Still don't recognize the logo badge, though.

@@billmatthews2463 This set is from the 50's, if memory serves - - - refurbished by Joe MacSweeny, formerly of the Ames Drum Co., as a gift to Buddy. There are badges on the drums are custom made for Buddy.

@@bigswingface5847 - Ahh, that explains it. Thank you so much. I appreciate it. My Radio Kings were made in the '60’s, so they were a bit different. Thanks again.
