Dr Khalid you have such an amazing personality and i love how you incorporate viewer suggestions into your vids.. love you doc. Keep doing what your doing....
Great video with lots of learning. I have both ACL and meniscal tear injuries, sir i have doubt, can these injuries be cured without surgery. just by doing physio
I injured my knee 9 wks ago. Still in pain. X-ray showed no fracture or significant arthritis. MRI shows a complex radial medial meniscus tear, a bone bruise & a Baker's cyst. My DR says my knee is a Mess. I start PT next wk. I have compression bandages, a brace, and he mentioned cortisone in the future, which I don't want. I see no end to this nightmare. I cannot lay my leg flat at night due to pain. He said if I develop mechanical symptoms I would have surgery. I asked if I would have to have knee replacement and he said that was likely. A terrible injury!
I tore my meniscus 4 weeks ago and still can't straighten my knee. I honestly do not want to go for surgery. What would you recommend ? Do you think I can recover from this ?
Hello Sir, i want some suggestions please hear me out, i got my Acl(with fibertape) reconstructed with my hamstring's graft and got three stiches on my medial meniscus tear(bucket handle tear). Its been past 18 months and still i feel pain in my meniscus area. What should i do. Should i perform an MRI as i am really concerned that the meniscus was not healed as it was supposed to and now its got the tear again.
Hi Adil, I would get in touch with your original surgeon as they know your meniscus better than anyone… and if they feel they need to do a review of further investigations etc then they can do so
Hi, I watched your patella Alta video “because I was diagnosed with it”. But could a miniscal tear be apart of that bc I can’t fully extend my knee and have sprained my LCL from dislocation after the patella diagnosing.
Hi! Yes it could… but that’s why it’s incredibly important for me to say that I can only give you basic ideas over the internet… and that for conclusive or accurate diagnosis you must get assessed fully by doctor or physiotherapist
I have a question. if there's a patient at the age of teenager has meniscus injury then get reconstructed, will that patient's meniscus has ability to regenerate due to the mid-adolescence age ?
I’ve had a partial medial menisectomy 2 months ago and am doing PT well. Is it normal for my knee to slide on the affected area when I fully bend it? It’s not painful and doesn’t swell but it is quite unsettling
You should also include post op Rehab when you cover topics like this...but the routine would pretty much the same ... starting with isometrics and moving to sit to stand...but you could some specific clinical pointers which you have observed in post op Rehab with all your combined clinical knowledge in the feild.
Like you could do a quick review of all the surgical interventions indicated for the condition and how Rehab would differ based on different surgeries....
I have watched those but a quick crash course of the key pointers from that conversation explained by Dr khalid McCharming over here would still make a good video.
Hi! We have a full webinar on meniscal tears on our membership platform which goes through great detail on the pathology, assessment and treatment of degenerative tears 😊

Thank you so much for your kind words Abhay! Your encouragement and support is much appreciated!

Hi! Best advice I can give you is to visit a physiotherapist/surgeon to have a full consultation on your specific situation and symptoms 🙏🏼
Cool 😎.. looking for a video discussing PFPS

I would definitely ask this to your PT or surgeon so you can have it checked properly
Thanks)
Thank YOU!
