This song is legendary. That ending with Vortex is already in the history of black metal.
It's better actually the Mustis piano part in the middle with Shagrath and the solo guitar at the end from 3:46 to 4:49. Nobody will ever happen to understand it.

These solos are so great. Dont get why the new guitarists couldnt get their shit together to learn them.

Best album and best lineup. Can't overlook how good Tjodalv was on the album, tho. So fucking good.
Nagash is in the studio lineup but unfortunately didn tour with the band to promote SBD.

From what I see, Nick and the old guitarist get along...
Funny enough, Nick was one of the reasons Astennu left the band. Live, they got along, but couldn't while composing new stuff.
In August 2000, Hestnæs aka Vortex left Borknagar to fully concentrate on Dimmu Borgir. So it’s impossible this was in 1999.
Vortex was a session member since August 1998, in the studio, and February 1999, live. After August 2000, he became full member.
