As a Muslim man, I want to inform them to use this heavenly outro BY VORTEX by the caller of the maisjed in-miga Mrophone to tell people the time to pray has come instead of the usual calling
they need to get back together just for this one song, remake it in the best quality, and sell that single song on one cd. it will be the best symphony in existance and of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!
The most amazing live performance Dimmu Borgir ever had!!! So many years past, still can hear the music of the band. Regretfully missing the soul this era had..Hail to beautiful music hail to Dimmu hail to Norway's way in this world! HORNS IN THE AIR !! EPIC !!!!
Oh, dreadful angel of mine Enrich me with the vastness of your being Rigid father, teach me how to comprehend I'll commit myself to understand To be faithful puppet
@Godmachine 999 If I understood right the conflict with Mustis is that he wanted more credit for the orchestral stuff he put in. He did all the creative work to make albums sound the way it did and he got the credits the same as Vortex and Silenoz/Shagrath the substantially bigger amounts. He thought there was an off-balance in crediting (which is very usual inner conflicts with bands that start to make profit). Well, he seemed to be fired soon after that as Galder, Silenoz and Shagrath form their own camp during ISD that took control on everything and left others outside. It's kinda their right, but you know, quite tyrannical. And as Mustis' influence on band's music started to really grow as he was part of every best known song of Dimmu Borgir and their modern sound. To keep the band and profits to themselves, it's better to smoke the guy out, profit from him and make mediocre albums with the name they created with him and play his songs. This is very cynical perspective and probably not very true, but the way Mustis is irreplacable is that he started to become lawfully way too big in composing rights. He started to become bigger and more important member than any other in the band. Even though Silenoz/Shagrath/Galder were mostly the composing trio that made the framework of the songs, the real meat, virtuosity and sound of DB needed at the time, came from Mustis and drummers at the time (Nick Barker, Hellhammer). He was kicked and credits were diminished and there was a legal conflict. Mustis composed Dimmu Borgir's the most famous songs 'Progenies of the Great Apocalypse' and was part of 7 out of 11 songs in DCA. He was part of 7 out of 11 songs in PEM, 'Fear and Wonder' by himself. But you can't find accurate crediting information on ISD, for some odd reason or all songs are composed by Shagrath, Galder and Silenoz or simply "Dimmu Borgir". Mustis seems to be totally discredited from the album altogether with Vortex, reducing their role to just musicians that played on the album. Although Vortex is an artistic and light-hearted personality and quirky in his own terms (I have once met him and briefly thanked him for the show with Arcturus, you can sense that he's a comedic personality) and he seems to be a guy that doesn't take work too seriously. And probably is also prone to bad habits like drinking and smoking. I'm not sure how they tried to deal with his work ethics and attitude, but Vortex seemed to be protesting against over-commercialization of Dimmu Borgir and the albums after DCA/Stormblåst MMV weren't as vivid and musically grand opuses like before. And he also sided with Mustis. Even though he said that recording all that orchestral parts were genuine pain in the ass, the band kinda missed it's point when they started to make albums with lesser budget, more streamlined and more commercial/friendly to non-black metal listeners. With money went the attitude. And Dimmu Borgir never was the same, when the fame and respect created a void in band's chemistry, convincing that some guys must be smoked out and focus all the profit on the three managing personnel of the band. If they wouldn't have done that, given Mustis his credit he deserved, kept him in the band and stayed on the road to make music not for the label or pleasing the crowd, but for the art, they still would be as kickass as before; not a cheesy Nightwish-rip off with growls.
Definitely the best on spiritual black dimensions, but in my opinion heavenly perverse is their best song, blessings upon the throne of tyranny and unorthodox manifesto up there with them (as well as the insight and the catharsis).
As a Muslim man, I want to inform them to use this heavenly outro BY VORTEX by the caller of the maisjed in-miga Mrophone to tell people the time to pray has come instead of the usual calling
He has a solo Album, I personally love it to death but is very prog rock with a little bit of black metal guitars and folk. Nothing close to Dimmu Borgir.
I'm into a lot of extreme subgenres of metal (Drummer) but I don't consider myself a black metal dude, everytime I think of Dimmu though I think how much of a loss it was Nick leaving, I think Hellhammer was a fantastic drummer but Nick really captured the right drum style and feel for Death Cult Armageddon. Vortex Mustis and Nick were a golden trifecta that brought so much to Dimmu, amazing musicians.
Ah the revolving drummer days lol reno was the fastest Tony the craziest/fastest, Barker the fan favorite (mine too)the most creative, hellhammer the most technical&cant forget jodalv the most grounded
It's funny that the comment you replied to claims that this style is HellHammer's and cannot be replicated, but it's Tony Laureano and not HellHammer lol
@Arcturus420 true but Simen and Mustis have been in the band for 11 years and really? are u going to replace 2 amazing musicians thats already been recognize.....i mean if they left after 2 years when they joined Dimmu then it will be ok but now?????? if Shagrath and Silenoz left then man i would be more angry then when Vortex and Mustis left......but they should of sticked with each other cause its a normal thing....were human beings and we argue, Shagrath should now that, especially mustis..
This was the exact moment of their prime. But I always prefer their album's versions due to much higher quality of vocals. Especially for Shagrath. His live performances suck, especially after 2010. He always hide in his easy mid-ranges. But this here is the best live version I could find of their best song. And im not surprised its after the release of Spiritual.
@Arcturus420 especially mustis because Mustis is to young to understand that the thing he was arguing about was foolish and should of been resolve instead of sending him a txt message that hes fired....its complete bullcrap if u think about it
what the fuck!? get a cool little guitar solo and someone thought despite the multi-camera footage lets just have a near-still clip the bassist basically holding the bass. I guess by the Vortex/Simon fans in the comments this was a good move. 90s Norwegian black/extreme metal was known for the excessive lead guitar wankery, why bother filming it?
@Arcturus420 I disagree actually. The members of Dimmu at the moment have become money hungry; drunk with power, if you like. In my opinion, I'm expecting to see a downfall
There is fucking nothing like the Vortex sections, the absolute most legendary moments in all of black metal
Oh dreadful angel of mine
Enrich me with the vastness
Of your beeeeeiiiing...
That clean part blows the fuck out my mind.
I was 14y old when dtarted to listen to Dimmu Borgir...,now i'm 43y still listening Dimmu Borgir 🖤🎶🖤 Legends
Bro that makes no sense 🤣 Dimmu Borgir formed in 1993.
Still legends though haha👍👍
@@90Geeza Why it makes no sense? If he was 43 in 2023, that means he was born in 1980. So he would have been 14 in 1994, when DB already existed.
Ya somos 2
i guess every time we all come here for the hymn 5:30
As a Muslim man, I want to inform them to use this heavenly outro BY VORTEX by the caller of the maisjed in-miga Mrophone to tell people the time to pray has come instead of the usual calling
5:28 I came here for this epic shit!!!
When Vortex sings it's like an angel singing (at least I imagine that)
It is orgasmic and majestic for sure
Agreed
Awesome!!!
Kristina Marie Hautmann A fallen angel.
the same for me...
The last part of the song is the best 🔥🖤🔥
Vortex sings like an angel and my soul flies.
already feeling the nostalgia for the 2000s
Better than on record. ICS Vortex is unbelievable as vocalist.
DB were masters at that time all of them.
It’s ICS VORTEX, record, no record, live, backstage, the bathroom no single difference
best version of this song
Everytime I hear those last minutes of this song it's just blows me far awy. And doesn't matter what improvisations Vortex does. :)
Me too... The same
Goosebumps when Vortex kicks in
they need to get back together just for this one song, remake it in the best quality, and sell that single song on one cd. it will be the best symphony in existance and of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!
And they indeed did :D
One of the best song by DB
The most amazing live performance Dimmu Borgir ever had!!! So many years past, still can hear the music of the band. Regretfully missing the soul this era had..Hail to beautiful music hail to Dimmu hail to Norway's way in this world! HORNS IN THE AIR !! EPIC !!!!
VORTEX is the best thing that happened to dimmu, i will miss the clean vocals
And Mustis too. He is a beast on the keyboards and as composer.
This is the most glorious song I have ever heard
hellhammer grooving this track with his patented swing style. such great flow. vortex flawless as usual.
His timing and patterns are really distinct
Not Hell hammer here. It's Tony Laureno
This song is so epic and intense and beautiful
i love Vortex's voices.. so clean \,,/
Vortex is supernatural!
yeah this song is very intense
vortex is amazing here
Vortex... have an Odin's Sound :)
odin is vortex
I call Vortex "The Norse god who sings"!
godlike
😮🔥 ficou f0daaaaa
Parabéns 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
6:09 omg godlike
Oh, dreadful angel of mine
Enrich me with the vastness of your being
Rigid father, teach me how to comprehend
I'll commit myself to understand
To be faithful puppet
I'm listening and singing with your comment right now... So strong
Omg Vortex What A Beautiful Voice's u Have I Fucking Miss u In The Band 🤘🏻🖤🖤
The Vortex said : "Mustis is the soul of Dimmu"
together with Vortex
Es correcto!
Purge ThePlagues yeah if anyone is the soul of the band, it’s Silenoz

Vortex and Mustis WERE the soul of that band. Makes me a sad panda they’re gone.
Kneel in prayer to the dreadful angel.. at 5:26
5:55
Jesus... 6:09 amazing godlike
I love that motherfucking part
"Your BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEIIIIINNNGG"
Definitely the best on spiritual black dimensions, but in my opinion heavenly perverse is their best song, blessings upon the throne of tyranny and unorthodox manifesto up there with them (as well as the insight and the catharsis).
This line up is ridiculously talented
As a Muslim man, I want to inform them to use this heavenly outro BY VORTEX by the caller of the maisjed in-miga Mrophone to tell people the time to pray has come instead of the usual calling
i would gladly listen to a full album made by ICS Vortex
He has a solo Album, I personally love it to death but is very prog rock with a little bit of black metal guitars and folk. Nothing close to Dimmu Borgir.
Check out his oooold old band Lamented Souls. He is the vocalist and guitarist, only clean vocals.. amazing band!
Vortex he's damn amazing.!

Bitch, bring Ics vortex and mustis back then we can talk about your funeral. 😁😁
Tony laureano is an incredible drummer but imagine if Barker had been on this DVD.
Barker ..is the best drummer . Fuking metals
You can really see what Dimmu is missing, when you look at the "most replayed" sections of the song.
great sound
I only just realised that Mustis' real surname; Mustaparta means blackbeard in Finnish
2020 fucking feelings in 5:40
epic duo 1:55
^^^ THIS ^^^ Man, I can't think of a better duo. Is there like a 2 hour version of this?

This is Dimmu’s Best Song.
1:30 SHIT , Vortex is inconceivable, this band has lost their own music after he left
Who is on drums? Tony Laureano or Hellhammer?
Vortex said: Shagrath your band is going down the toilet 😂
Jesus, who's on drums? whoever it is just played this song way faster then normal. It sounds fucking amazing.
The one and only Hellhammer \m/
He has a crisp, unique style that cannot be imitated. HIS style
not to mention his blazingly fast 300 bpm double bass in parts of the song
He is Tony Laureano not Hellhammer
It's funny that the comment you replied to claims that this style is HellHammer's and cannot be replicated, but it's Tony Laureano and not HellHammer lol
Dimmu borguir prá mim depois dá saída Nick Barker mustis vórtex prá mim a banda acabou
Lamentável 😔😂😂 😂
Hmmm, seems like Galder is out on the first solo. Good thing Silenoz wrote it himself, so he could take over :p
@Arcturus420 yeah. i watch this song from World Misanthropy, and its just so live and epic. and then here, its just sort of blah.
Itt még ISTENEK voltatok.......Az én ISTENEIM is......

@bbelilovsky that may be, but ICS Vortex and Mustis made this band epic... now it's so boring and poor..... HAIL VORTEX!
what the fuck!? get a cool little guitar solo and someone thought despite the multi-camera footage lets just have a near-still clip the bassist basically holding the bass.
