I moved away from Buffalo, WY just under a year ago for Arizona after living there for 3 years (Wyoming native for 25 years) and I miss it a lot. Its a beautiful place to live, but there is almost no opportunity for young people. It's the perfect level of "boring" and beautiful- but doesn't have the economic opportunities for young people trying to get by. Its tragic- I miss it.
yeah fr my folks just moved there and while I love visiting them I just can't live there sadly. I wouldn't mind retiring myself there but rn my life is just starting so sadly it wouldn't work out for me haha
It looks like a lovely area. I have been to the Bighorns. Beautiful country. Drove the curvy road through the canyon. Camped in a tiny area for about days neaa Greybull.
It does, but not for long. Typically, the end of July / early August are the hottest. We also do not have humidity, so it cools off in the evening, and you can sleep with the windows open.
What do residents in Buffalo do for a living? For such an isolated place I can't imagine there are many job opportunities .... unless many drive to Billings, Casper or Rapid City every weekday....
A lot of the people in Buffalo who have jobs work for the state, county, city, or federal governments. They may work for the hospital or the schools and there are several branches of law enforcement here. Otherwise, they work remote or they commute to Sheridan. Some commute to Gillette but that's 68 miles and it gets really old when the roads are bad. Sheridan is a 35 minute commute though and it's a pretty drive. The only time it's a challenge is when I90 gets closed down due to winter conditions.
Not really here in Buffalo. There are a few up in the Bighorn Mountains, but they are not prevalent. Of course, anything can accidentally follow the creek down from the mountain, so, occasionally there is a black bear or a mountain lion noticed in town.
Yeah, if you're planning on moving to wyoming, its boring, ugly, windy, very cold winters, long winters, no need to move to such a place. We here in wyominv want people to be comfortable and happy. So you would be better off moving else where.
Have you ever been to Buffalo, Wyoming or The Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming?
I've been to Buffalo, sheridan, Newcastle, Cheyenne, sundance. I really like it out there.
No, but I might be.

Boring sounds good. Stay in Buffalo for 2 days in June and walked the trails a bit. Perfect sized town.
I love our trail along the creek.
Yes. Buffalo was always our vacation area for several years. Know it very well. 🐴🐎🤠 Thank you. 🌤🇺🇸🎆 America 🇺🇸
Buffalo is sooooo beautiful! Just popped on to say Hi from Sundance :)
Beautiful
Clear Creek Trail is one of my favorite places to run.
Maybe one day I will be able to run out to that 1 mile marker and back. Goals!

Thank you for making this video I appreciate it
That's a good thing
How is the wind there? I've heard that Buffalo, Sheridan, and Thermopolus are the least winndy places in WY.
Bald Mountain in the background, left in video.
I'm trying everything to be able to move back home there
I wish that I was there with you 😊
Here's a question, so youve talked about how winters are brutal in WY but what about summer? does it get scorching hot?
It does, but not for long. Typically, the end of July / early August are the hottest. We also do not have humidity, so it cools off in the evening, and you can sleep with the windows open.
You forgot about the giant swimming pool. Summer is not scorching hot. Just a normal hot, for a swim in perfect clear water. Fun Fun 🎉🎉😂😅

Are there any Moral mushrooms there? They're yummy
Boring is good I watch boring movies all the time.
Shouldn't you be cautious for grizzlies out there?
