I totally agree with your point, i got 60 hours into the game and about 25 of those are just from a lack of quick travel. Also to I got tired of all the random "escort" quests. You can get around the expensive inn costs in Batahal by buying a house, but its like 3 out of 4 times when I just want to go there and rest, there is a person who wants you to walk with them some where very far away or a random person on the road stops you and wants you to escort them to a place in the totally opposite direction than where you are trying to get too. You can turn down the quest but its the pausing and reading and just them getting in the way that annoys me.
This guy: Dragon Dogma 2 is goty. I'm rewatching GoT willingly.
Helldivers 2: Exists
Me: Ya I'm out.
fair points made. these things that irritate you about the game or "tire you out" are the things that dragons dogma fans love about the series. In the end the game just isnt your style. glad you came to test the waters though! stay blessed.
That’s very fair.
Yeah, that's what made Dragon's Dogma 2 fun to me. The whole planing my adventure with not compleatly being able relying on fast travel. I find it more emersive than ticking of a checklist from quest by fast travel. I get it, though. It can be a huge time sink. On the other hand from my experience I would realize I would miss out on some of the most fun traveling by foot and having those random encounters. That can all hinders on the map design, how fun it is to explore, and what can be found within it. Which I feel they nailed.
Thats total bs. The fast travel isn't even the issue in the games. Its the lack of content when traveling by foot. That was already a big issue in the first game. There were no random monster encounters. Monsters always spawned at the same spots and after traveling through the world the first time, you knew exactly what awaits you around the next corner. I don't know a single person who loved this in the first game or in the new one. Luckily someone's already working on an enemy randomizer mod for DD2.
@@milesblahgon3349 yes its fun to explore but after 20+ hours in dont you think having to fight copypaste enemies scattered all over the world again and again and again walking back to town on a road that youre able to memorize now constantly. Dont you think its getting to a point that its a chore now? And the enemy varieties arent interesting as well in fact its even less than the previous game. Having easily accessible fast travel would be nice after 30+ hours walking through the same road.
@akmaldanish8619
Yeah, good points. It would make more sense to give an unlimited whatever those fast travel stones are called, when getting to end games, or even after completing the game. Enemy variety could be better, but it's not terrible. I could have used more variety for more big boss battles and a community boss, like the dragon in the first Dragon's Dogma. Overall, Dragon's Dogma 2 is a fairly short game. I still find the combat of the game to be very fun with the vocations they offered. After leveling 4 to 5 vocation, the game does to start feeling repetitive, but at that point, i was at around 60 of game gameplay. Hopefully, we'll get a beefy dlc that addresses some of these issues because I would love myself more. Overall, i had a great time with Dragon's Dogma 2.
The ability to fast travel is really not a big deal. You go to the store, buy a Ferrystone for 10,000 G or less (if you got a discount, the vendor loves you), and that's it. Every major quest will give you a port crystal, and IF, and I say IF you have the money, you can always buy the DLC to get a port crystal early into the game. Nobody is forcing you, but it helps to have more early on and during a New Game+. Each time you wait/sleep for at least 3 days, vendors will restock, and you can get more.
Furthermore, the more people whose affinity is maxed out (love you), the more gifts they will leave at your house(s). I often get Ferrystones in my bags. So, believe me, this is really not a big deal.
i havent binged a game this hard in a while. i already have 176 hours in the game, and i didnt even get it on launch
I love this game
I also put down DD2 prematurely. Though I didn’t get anywhere near as far as you lasted. I was going to circle back to it after ROTR but after watching this? I’m seriously questioning it…what do you think? You’re the tie breaker homie. 😁
That’s a lot of power to give me😅. Well you already own it so it’s not a matter of saving some money, I’d give it another shot at a later date when there’s a dry spell in gaming.
I love the game and want to keep playing, but the max health drain is a game breaker for me. Especially because you mostly walk everywhere and get into so many fights on the way to ur destination.
You tried it. You didn't like it. I can respect that.
If you do get back into it:
1. Buy a house so you won't have to stay at an inn.
2. Find "Port Crystals" and place them in areas you might want to fast travel to.
✌️
sounds like you needed a guide to get a few port crystals and also know its perfectly okay to sell monster materials you have in abundance and very old weapons once I did this I went from being completely broke to having 300k and I buy a ferry stone every time I see one in a vender now then the dragon forge npc sells 3 of them for not even gold but the crystals you get from killing dragons. also there are two inns in Bakbathal one for 9000 and the other for 2000 gold.
And Dragonforged refreshes those 3 ferrystones every 15 in-game days (1 every 5 in-game days).. with that + the 5-6 portcrystals you get legit it’s sooooo easy to get unlimited fast-travel in this game
@@DefyThemAll it just takes a little bit of work to figure this out and boom the game opens up! people don't want to take the time to figure things out though.
Dark Arisen gave the players an Eternal Ferrystone because of DD1 complaints in addition to Bitter-Black Isle which made it a good game but Kinoshita did this not Itsuno.
Having auto saves and travel thingy makes the game special and hard
I enjoyed even though it is my 3rd time resetting the game
Itsuno didn't have to destroy the DD1 vocations and there's so much more to discuss; but it's his dream of 'what could have been with more $$$ and time'. Go figure lol.
The fast travel wasn’t bad if you stayed on task. A lot of the missions will give you the items you need for it but you would still have to walk there in order to use it.
Exactly - I deleted my file after 3 hours knowing this grind would just never stop. Until they include fast travel, a proper weight management I won’t load again.
The huge problem with it for me is the quest design. It's a chore...any quest, really.
But everything else is 🤌*chefs kiss* especially the combat!
I loved the combat
If the journey didn’t matter to you then don’t play this game, if the story doesn’t matter to you then don’t play this game, if the gameplay doesn’t matter to you then don’t play this game, IF FAST TRAVEL MATTERS TO YOU THEN DONT PLAY THIS GAME SMH 🤦🏻♂️
gameplay, story and the journey matter. A video game respecting my time does matter, I don’t have the time to be backtracking on foot to major locations I’ve already been. It’s quite sad that constructive criticism is met with a response like yours and you may not have caught it but I was sent this game by Capcom and in their creators program so this is a very sincere take. I could have easily blindly praised this game but brought forward a well thought out piece.
A lot of gamers need to be handheld now and that's understandable. This game just isn't for you.
you can buy a sm7b but cant buy a microphone stand.
I have a $300 microphone boom arm. I choose to hold it.
Lots of Capcom minions in the comments 😂
Just having unlimited stamina when not in battle would have been nice, to make running around the map quicker
100% that shoulda been a thing
Or a horse
Bruh, you can literally have an almost unlimited amount of ferrystones as soon as you reach Battalh city and find Dragonforged. He sells 1 ferrystone for 3 wyrmslife crystal. You get 10-15 wyrmslife crystals from killing drakes and lesser dragons. The Dragonforge store restocks every 7 Ingame days.
Aside from that you find shitload of ferrystones in chests, of mobs and can buy them for gold.
I literally had like 30-50 ferrystones in my storage at all times. Quiting the game due to lack of fast travel is pointless soysause.
That doesn’t resolve the issue of not enough locations to fast travel to. This was but 1 issue, the point is the game doesn’t respect the players times and depending on your life style man it is a deal breaker. I got a family, 2 kids, a career and I do RUclips on the side I only have so much time in my life. So spending 45 mins to back track vs a fast travel point is absolutely a deal breaker for me.
I am glad you enjoy every aspect but this was just my opinion.
@@NIXNE The thing is, you pop down port crystals to make your own fast travel points, you can only have 10 in total sure, but if you pop them down at key points, you dont really need more than 10 anyhows.
Basically you more or less just organically put them down at points as you progress the story or just explore, jumping on the back of a gryphon and get to new places is also a good way to do just that.
Walking aint part of the journey if you have a lot of hours in. It’s just a stupid inconvenience. Im chilling with a fair amount of gold so I can buy the stone w/o hurting my pockets too much but the fact that I even have to worry about it LATE GAME is crazy.
The portcrystals. Yeah theyre nice as it lets me customize my own fast travel points but it’s so unlimiting for no reason. If I want to walk all the time, I will but dont limit my options. Sht got me thinking about how to tackle my quests so I dont waste stones. It’s just unnecessarily annoying and inconvenient. If theyre gonna pull this bs, atleast let me have unlimited stamina when Im out of combat. I always hear my character moaning like hes about to nut every 10s
I will say, like anything, it's subjective to the individual. The game, I think, hit exactly what it wanted to be. It's a true adventuring game. Think about how much you miss by fast traveling. And so when you say stuff is too expensive, we'll it wouldn't be if you fight monsters get pelt and gathers other resources to sell. I don't think I have ever felt like I don't have enough gold, and I am a very casual gamer who works way too much. Also you can manually save, you can sleep in your house for free, and you can use camps to heal your party. You do not need to stay at an in. Again, stuff that is supposed to give the player that feeling of a true adventure. I will say it is not for a lot of gamers. And that's ok. It just isn't a game for you. I will say this feels like a game that you don't need/ or shouldn't want to sit down and beat in a week. I like being able to put it down for a while and pick it up and start the adventure again. I think this game is for a specific type of gamer. And that's ok too. Again it's subjective, atleast you gave it a chance. Keep on gaming bro.
The fast travel is more for back tracking. I do appreciate what you are saying.
Looked better then dd1, but look to much of the same, so just to boring
The fast travel as it is now wouldn't be that big of a deal, if there were random encounters on the roads. Which isn't the case in this game. Monsters always spawn at the same spots. The roads are mostly invested with goblins, harpies and wolves. Too little mob variety. Yes, there a different types of harpies and goblins and wolves. But they are still harpies and goblins and wolves. They aren't that much different from each other, except maybe for the damage they deal. You traverse the world the second or third time and you know exactly what awaits you on your journey. Which types of monsters and where tyou're gonna encounter them. Its just boring and more of a hassle than actual fun.
Ok let’s talk about your problems and see what we can do to make it easier.
1. Sleeping at inns cost too much. Agreed, which is why you can buy your home and rest at campsite. I’m over 200+ hours in and not even done with the main quest yet and I have yet to pay more than a couple times for an inn. All my resting have been through my home or camps which are free.
2. No fast travel. Same mechanic as in the first game and it worked well for the smaller map but yes, not getting to your destination on a larger map would be frustrating. There are a lot of portcrystals in the game and I have one in every town along with 30 ferrystones but hardly use them because I actually like finding new and alternative routes to my destination.
This game isn’t for everyone and I can understand that not everyone has the patience to play an RPG that isn’t driven by narrative like Final Fantasy. It’s a slow burn for sure but rewarding because the game doesn’t hold your hand and let you do the narrative your way. Hope you give it a second chance but if not, there are other alternatives out there. Cheers.
I did buy a home as well. As I said the game is very good I just really was turned off by the selection of things I talked about. I do appreciate the kind comment.
If you stick w it once you hit the games true end game in unmoored world you find ferrystones everywhere. New Game + resolves the issue once you're able to put a Port Crystal in locations you need to, unfortunately the challenge is gone due to enemies not scaling so the game def has some major issues hopefully many are addressed in DLC
Bro, "it gets better once you finnish it" does not entice me to get it xD
@@NoctisZeroWorld If you enjoyed the first one even w it's numerous flaws much like DD2 only then would I recommend the second til we see what they do w DLC. The best part ot the game is the combat and emergent gameplay which requires you enjoy exploring the open world and not fast traveling. If you don't care for the journey the games definitely not for you
Yeah but quitters never find true value in anything cause they quit before the true value is shown it’s a damn shame I wonder what their love life must be like 😂😂😂😂😂
Games with hard core ( crazy ) fans are a pass for me.
There’s two inns in battahl im pretty sure one is over priced if you aren’t a beastran could be wrong idk
Your editing and energy has been on point lately man! Good stuff!
I appreciate that!
Don't blame you one bit. I enjoyed the game, but by the end I just wanted to finish it. Left a few caves unexplored because they were far from a town and I was done.
GOTY? I hope not, because that would mean we won't get anything better. DD2 felt more like a fun AA game but nothing that would leave you itching for more.
I can see it getting nominated but Rebirth likely will beat it out unless the coming games this year outdo them both.
The game is a lot of fun, but why is it a hot take to say it has issues? It has some OBVIOUS issues, though I wouldn't say fast travel is one of them.. xD the story... it's ABYSMAL.. the characters.. WHAT CHARACTERS? They are sooo boring and flat.. the item management is a pain, you fight the SAME monsters over and over again..
Felt the same about this Game. I played for around 40h and quit after a while for the same Reasons.
Honestly it just disappointed me. I payed 75€ for it, then i got to experience it. At first i accepted the Gameplay-Mechanics. But not for long...
Then i started to hate all those negative Points.
Today, after a long Time that i haven't played it since then, i just sold it. Gone. Good Riddance!
You are not wrong, it’s a complete blast, but eventually it becomes tedious with the limited fast traveling, however there may be light at the end of the tunnel, DD1 dark arisen expansion gave us the infinite rift stone that never consumes, will they give us the same here in dd2 is anyone’s guess, but I believe eventually once the game has worn off they likely would
DD2 is very much exactly the same as DD1 in terms of gameplay and world design. Including very sparse, limited fast travel (until late in the game). I guess you didn't play the first one then. DD2 was exactly what I expected from this.
Game of the year? Pliss stop this BS. The game is trash cuz its unfinished and lacks a lot of thing. Only 10 - 12 bosses, same 4-5 enemy types and there is much more bad shit in this game.
If you carry ogre parts with you on ox cart, enemy raid rates are reduced quite a lot. But the fact that carts only take you to a handful of locations does not help
I did not know this
Waiiiiit i got 300 hours and I didn’t know this
@@Savon_the_gallent_knight it was a quest that let you know this, but the quest said cyclopes parts.
@Savon_the_gallent_knight cap. No way you had 300 hours a month ago...why lie?
@@ghostsamongus3370 I wasn’t lying. I nonstop played this I now have 1000 hours.
Bro there’s literally 2 houses you can buy in the two major cities, why wud you even use the inn..?. Fast travel just loses the whole point of the game as the content is between cities. Dragons Dogma 2 has many problems brother but this ain’t it.
Well I can fast travel pretty much anywhere I have over 100 ferrystones and 9 portcrystals atm there is a way to get more than 5 on 1 playthrough just gotta think about how certain systems work in dd2
You quiet because you didn’t want to explore I get it because I was the same way the game is unforgiving but unlike you I didn’t give up I gained xp by doing quests I bought portcrystals to set up where I want them to be and I fought and bested some of the hardest monsters I still have trouble but I love the game so I’m not quitting
Slow down. The quests point you in a direction. Stop and smell the roses.. This game isn't about the story, it's about the journey!! Try ritalin.😂
You have to have experienced the first Dragon's Dogma game to realize why the mechanics and the things you don't like are in this sequel. It was very easy....too easy to get to most locations
I started dragons dogma but like rise of ronin better
Yes I love rise of the ronin it run at 60 fps dragon dogma 2 need a 60 fps patch soon
Sacrilege! Just kidding, but I really wish this game was well optimised!
@anthonyplaysbass I know it like the fps drop I wish it have a 60fps this next gen I love playing it but rise of the ronin got a 60fps mode
That’s funny, I started rise of ronin first but got bored and didn’t even finish. I’m on my 4th play through of dragons dogma atm 😅
@@Hurricane_Blanco 4th play through already 😂
Bro really quite the game because of some really dumb reasons if bro would of kept playing till the end game content he would of not been saying any of this lol
Don’t get wrong I respect his opinion and thoughts but bro quit too early because of some mechanics that aren’t tailored to him
Hey man I don’t feel they are dumb reasons. Thanks for respecting my opinion though.
@@NIXNE again I do respect your opinion and thoughts no hard feelings at all man
2:35 just wanted to address that Battahl has 2 Inns the 9999 gold Inn and another one on your way to the Palace for just 2000 gold. Also u can buy a house in Vernsworth and Battahl for 20,000 gold and rest as much as you want
Bro… Use the camping kit instead of going to the INN. it’s a lot cheaper and you can do it whenever you want and it doesn’t get used up like a resource
By the end of my playthrough I had 50 ferrystones I fast traveled as much as I wanted you just got to get to that point plus you can by a house so you can heal for free.
it isn't bad for me if it wasnt for the continuolus ambushes on small stretch of main road. The bushes are safer. Shoud have been the other way round.
the absence of fast travel is the game................. being in the dark is also part of the game...............lantern oil is not hard to come by......... oy vay
OMG dude the last minute of this video literally had my yelling my girlfriend awake. And she’s sleeping on the couch, I’m in my bedroom! 😂. That was freakin hilarious. 0:05 classic shit. Great (& highly insightful) job dude, thanks for posting this. Guess I gotta subscribe now. 👍
Thank you so much
So you basically quit due to not having a “fast travel” feature…got it.
Stamina usage is the only issue the game has. It's still GOTY so far though!
Fair points. Not every game is for you. Quests, are not this game strength. They are there to give you an excuse to go out, explore and take part in the games combat. Both of which are, I'd say, the strong points of the game. Trying different builds of vocations and exploring what the world has to offer and what hidden gear and items can be found.
As to the inn issue, brother, find pawns with badge quest rewards for 10k. Do a couple kill x (ogre/cyclops, etc) quests for pawns and now you can by houses in both capital cities. After 5 hours of play, this was a non issue for me.
Lastly, not every game has to cater to modern standards. I am fine to have this one tiny corner in gaming, that has old school design.
It’s nice to hear from rational people who disagree with some points I made in my video.
Well, the devs said basically, "we don't want people using fast travel because we made this game with a lot to see, and we want players to see it." Also remember, this is made by JAPANESE devs who honestly have no clue when it comes to their intended audience, which financially is the west. However, you don't need to stay at inns because you can buy a house, and you can camp- just be sure to clear out nearby enemies. MY biggest gripe is the weight system. They want you to explore, but then penalize you for exploring by giving you obscenely small amounts of weight that you can carry. Then, they want you to change vocations, but they further penalize you by making different vocations able to carry less; a Fighter can carry more than a Mage, which isn't right. This game has far too many 'penalties' against players just for playing, and fast-travel is just one of the many.
The weight thing was annoying too
Didn’t mind all the trekking and walking around, I used the opportunity to level up every class for my pawn and my character, plenty to kill giving plenty of XP.
But I did mind the weight management, so tired of games that have loot to pick up but don’t actually allow you to pick the loot up without effecting your character’s performance
Keep playing it is worth it and really not every single player open world game needs fast travel and has fast travel and it does not always need it to be good
The weight thing made it so you had to regularly go back to town and sell or stock stuff. Personally it added to the immersion of being on a long adventure and I liked it. It would however be nice to change vocation/send stuff to stock whenever you camped out in the wild.
want to know a trick, put everything on your pawn (not main pawn), throw the pawn in the water, everything on the pawn will be send to storage automatically !
On the contrary, I disagree with you; "Dragon's Dogma" is one of the best games I've played this year. The reason is that it's the first RPG game that has given me a challenging experience in terms of progression and achievements. The more I progress in the game, the easier it becomes, and this is very enjoyable. Why would I need "fast travel"? I don’t need fast travel like "Ferrystone" which you will abundantly receive after "New Game Plus" or at the end of the game, as they will infinitely drop from monsters. It's possible to exit a single game having 30 or 40 Ferrystones.
The only problem with the game is the variety and difficulty of the monsters, but there should be a "scaling" system in certain areas or "plus scaling" to enhance the experience. We need more variety in terms of items and monsters; it’s boring to constantly encounter only goblins everywhere. Do you see what I mean?
Review aside...bro the end had me crying lmaoooo. The wolf, the falling, and the kung-fu troll had me absolutely howling! 🤣🤣🤣💀
I was shocked by it all and that is part of what makes this game great lol.
Why didn’t i have this issues? Oh that’s right cus you get cheap houses to buy and u dont need inns anymore, money is so easy to come by in this game that i had no problems whenever i needed to buy or upgrade equipment plus bruh… this game is so easy why you resting so much for?… i strongly believe people just trynna hate on the game 😂😂
I didn’t hate on the game. I actually praised many aspects of it and gave some fair criticisms as well.
This is the dumbest review ive ever encountered. Spent it all complaining about fast travel because youre too lazy to explore...
Brother just say you liked the game and any criticism is not valid to you. I complained about multiple things and I thoroughly articulated why I didn’t like the implementation and why it caused me to abandon my play through. I’m glad you enjoyed it though.
you should have looked into the game before playing it then man
Fast travel is your problem? Dude, how old are you?
This seems like a rehashed reveiw of another youtubet ive seen. And im saying that because you get unlimited fast travels crystals.....
I’m sure there is a way to get unlimited fast travel crystals. That doesn’t change any of my complaints especially the limitations on locations.
The game runs like shit, typical crapcom trash
Bro crying to much for just a fat travel 🤣
Brave take, man. I'm sure the diehards will descend on you. This no fast travel, coupled with only one save file, and microtransactions for things like fast travel, let me know ahead of time that this wasn't for me. Hell, Elden Ring has fast travel. Not the kind of chore I like in a game.
I loved the game I just wish it respected my time more. Walking everywhere or ox carting to limited locations is tough.
@@NIXNEbro, respectfully, I think you just needed to learn the game more. You can get unlimited fast-travel very easily (and legit, for no $, and no gold- just use WLC for ferrystones and collect the 5-6 legit portcrystals, which are more than enough)
I am having a similar experience. Loved it at first… but lately it just feels like a big slog. I ended up going back to Rebirth even though I finished it. Because I just needed a break.
Wait don't tell me you don't know about ferrystones?
You didn’t watch the video. I mention the stones and I also mention the lack of locations
Tell me you’re a quitter without telling me you’re a quitter lmao
It says it in the title… lol
My big issue with the game:
I got the wrong ending and restarted with New Game Plus only to learn that i did (to be specific , I DIDN'T do something) something wrong.
Luckily, with my OP character, it only took me about two days of gaming to get back to almost the end of the game. I'm taking my time, though. Turns out i missed a lot of great things during my first playthrough.
I actually don't want it to end.
Its a good game but not a $70 game in my opnion. It feels more like dragons dogma 1.5, and really they were pretty cocky to say that fast travel is for games with borning traversal in which their own traversal becomes borning and tedius quite fast.
I wish i got rise of the ronin insted of this.
Also not to mention the over selling advertisements and the obvious cut content and stuff they just didnt get time to do.
And the story that falls off once you cross the border.
shit take
I got both of them rise of the ronin is very good 😊
The fast travel really ain't bad. I saved 20 stones before i even used one cause i thought they were extremely rare when in truth u can practically buy as many as you want, and honestly if youre fast traveling everywhere youre missing out on a lot. Btw this is my first time playing so im not just some DD purist trying carry water for the gsme
I want to play but you reasons are exactly the reason why I don't want to play
I sleep more than explore in dragons of dogma because so many things require dozing off
It's not game of the year stop it
I said nominee
Traveling IS the game. Quests and other stuff is the fluff to give you excuse to travel.
Which is why they gave you Ox carts for the paths you might travel too frequently, since they knew too much repetition could bore players.
As for random encounters during ox carts, fights usually over in 2~3 minutes. That is really not that bad. Also it's a great way fast travel to go other places. I would sometimes ride ox cart multiple times so i get random encounters to go different locations faster.
Complaining about traveling in this game is like complaining that in street fighter all you do is fight. That's sort of the point and main gameplay loop.
I think that's an extreme comparison. I am not saying I don't want to ever travel on foot or explore im saying there should be a convenient way to travel back to previous towns.
Or at least give us a mount
This would likely help fix my complaints
Thank you. I had the same issue. I absolutely loved this game at first. I put like 50 hours in. I felt like the last guy to get mad about the micro transactions with wakestones (revive yourself or a character critical to the quest progression) and fast travel with Portstones. They literally monetized progressing in the game. They dropped the ball. I am furious with Capcon and look at them much differently after this release.
Yes, because like OMG, buying ONE Portstone is such a big deal, or OMG, being able to buy a couple of wakestones is SUCH a problem. ::eyeroll:: I mean, wakestones are available in game, and you don't need to use them- unless YOU- the player- screw up.
@@ADarklore you are the reason they get away with it..
@@matthewatteberry8711 Did you even play the game really?
@@Rulfio yes honestly. Seeing the Portstones and Wakestones available for sale on the Playstation Store right underneath my game everytime I booted it pissed me off. If they sold the items in game with in game currency, I wouldn't mind. They could have even made them as expensive as the houses. Speaking of the houses, they are also useless. Why don't they count as resting at an inn? The game has alot of issues regarding quality of life. The game is awesome. The pawns system is amazing and I have never experienced anything like it. I loved that. Still do..I just could not get over the hurdles after 50 plus hours of grogging around to just get from point A to point B. It took away from any momentum in the game.. They should have added more ox carts the more you progressed. There is just alot of things that make me think player satisfaction was not their main priority..I feel sorry for the devs that probably pushed back against this bullshit. This price gouging sets a terrible president.
@@matthewatteberry8711 you get them for free by questing and exploring my man. Best tip I can give is to sell the excess of monster materials and older useless weapons will give you plenty of gold. I play on steam and I didn't even know they had an item store until i was watching rage bait youtubers. If you made it to the dragon forged npc he sells a port crystal along with ferrystones that you can buy again every few days you rest he will restock ferry stones. Once I looked at the items in the shop I saw all of those items aren't even rare in the game so I wasn't trippin. There are far more companies that practice far worse MTX, but for some reason completly optional MTx from this game is what people randomly decided to care about.
One simple solution ETERNAL FERRYSTONE SIMPLE AS
Not really. The quantity of stones wasn’t the issue it was the locations you can fast travel to.
@@NIXNEindeed but when you don't want to bother going through the constant groups of goblins wolves harpies etc since they appear every 30 seconds
I dont think you really understood what Dragons Dogma is, its a game about exploration. If you could fast travel everywhere and just did the quests it would take you like two hours to complete and you wouldnt see 95% of the map.
Wow this guy wants his hand hold the whole time hes playing get real bro this game is incredible the way the fast travel is is perfect if i dont want to use oxcart or i dont have any ferrystones the game makes me explore the world instead of just a whole bunch of fast travels available i love the way they did fast travel im soory you dont but you do u bro but great job on the vid straignt to point vid of your opinion on the game
I don’t want my hand held I just want more convenience to traveling from place to place when backtracking especially. I do understand that the devs intentionally designed the game like this and the people who love DD love this aspect.
@NIXNE yea I understand that I'm soory I sounded like a jackass I'm more mature then that lol
Holy glizzy rider Batman!
I know at least half of these Eh Chans, but they are not the true Eh Chan.
Lol
Travel going get xp. port crystal set big town.
There aren’t enough locations.
I would’ve been so happy if we could fly like a super hero
lol or fly on dragon back
Get to the point
It's easy to fast travel ! Lol. Wake up
I’m frustrated with just how expensive stuff is in this game… 😂
10K gold for a 1 night stay at an Inn is absolutely crazy
@@NIXNE Only one inn is like that and it's obvious it's because they're racist against pawns. There's another inn that's the normal price very close by and you can buy the house which is pretty cheap by that point in the game. The highest inn stays get otherwise is 2k which is pocket change if you bother looting chests or enemies and selling what you don't need. You can easily buy a ferrystone everytime you stop by town and be just fine.
I know the weapons is high everything is high ths inn to 😢
@@christopherduren9368 yeah I saw a new sword that was a big upgrade, and then I saw the price, and it would have taken all my money if I bought it. So just moved on.
I mean, Dogma 1 had all these problems & Capcom came out & SAID they are doubling down on them so who do you have to blame?...
Dogma 1 was a long time ago. I think it would have been nice to modernize it a bit.
Not everybody plays every game, let alone a game 11 years ago.
@@brucenatelee True but there were criticisms of the 1st game being brought out RECENTLY when this was announced & CAPCOM MADE STATEMENTS saying F your criticisms, we're doing the same sh*t. & this guy is a news & review channel & should know all that.
Love this game so much on new game plus 3 now absolutely 10/10 goty for me
All of this is perfect to show why I hate this style of game. It's simply not for my tastes. Glad that others enjoy it, of course, but yeah it's not something I'll play. Meanwhile, I've dropped 240 hours into FF7 Rebirth and not thought twice about it. 🤷♂️
It sometimes can make you feel like the game doesn’t respect your time.
I’m very happy I chose Rise of the Ronin over DD2.
I really need a hard mode and end game content like bitter black isle, love this game though
Nobody asked, but thanks for letting us know i guess?
… you clicked the video
I've literally just started it 😂
It’s a great game stick on the path arisen and do not falter for the dragon awaits
So you quit because Darkest Dungeon 2
The most annoying thing to me is the fatigue system where the longer you stay out and adventure the lower your health gets forcing you to tech to either a campsite or back to town to an inn. There’s no way to restore lost health other than that.
As for the fast travel, it wouldn’t be as annoying to me if it wouldn’t also eat away at your maximum health.
The limited fast travel is there to artificially pad the play hours I feel
That's another thing I did not like. Not being able to restore your health completely outside of resting was very frustrating.
