I think it’s just shifting I think that people are going to look for more “relatable” and “authentic” people but people shouldn’t just go into content creation to make money
I have come to that conclusion recently as a content creator. I have been having trouble picking and sticking to a niche and always felt it was inauthentic. I was about to give up, but I literally came across this video confirming my new idea of starting from zero, posting videos on whatever I want, just for fun without expecting payout and being completely raw and true to myself. Whoever identifies or relates and wants to watch and chat can :D
I remember the early Yam Fam days when you taught us to make the content that we would like the want to watch. That might not be the fastest way to grow and eventually earn now but I still do it. The content I make isn't sexy or exciting but I think it's needed so I'm willing to wait and grow organically.
Hi there, I am trying to sign up for the Academy but it says "This product is not available. Contact the school owner for more information" :(. please help
Love the hair btw . But yeah viewers have greatly shrunk over the years . Be if gaming , shopping vlogs , tutorials etc heck I watch less other yt channels and no twitch streams anymore , as I no longer care much for them . Lack of time interest , mainly on my own channel, the list goes on…
I couldn't agree more with this video and your sentiment. As a game developer it's just as bad. It used to be about just making a fun game and now if you make something too niche it gets buried by the 14000 other games being released. I used to make devlogs here on RUclips but the algorithm got to those as well and now your game better look like a AAA masterpiece or you need to be the Mr. Beast of game dev if you want any views. And then you gotta push your course on top of that in every video.
I absolutely agree with you way too many people have access. and then it is not enough demand for the product. like there's way too many streamers but there's not enough not people watching.
I've been struggling just to make affiliate on Twitch 🫠🫠🫠 I'm stuck needing the "3 viewers average" threshold despite having 10-12 viewers on average after checking my stream stats. I'm not sure Twitch is counting my lurkers..
What's better than sitting at home getting paid? WWould you rather go landscape? The avg human? Nope. That's why Twitch is saturated with everyone and most channels with only 1-5 viewers> TBH alot of ppl bot to get their numbers back to where they were.
Would creating another platform fix and divide competition? Everything you said about content creation is on point. I am trying to build something that fixes all of these issues. How can I contact you please?

I think copyright is fine. But when a music rights holder gets ALL of your revenue from a 20 minute video that 8 seconds of their song appeared in. And even if they only took a percentage, how do you even quantify what percentage of a video the audio track is? That's the part that infuriates me about copyright. I do 4 hour streams and a single copyrighted track ends up in the VOD somehow and I lose ALL of the revenue to them. How is that legal? That's like accidentally forgetting to scan a candy bar at the grocery store and having your entire $300 grocery cart that you legally paid for confiscated.
@@MichaelKocha true, you can't even earn money if you put a song inside a video game pre record video like metallica, what is the point of the youtube program

I won't give up. I'll be on social media for life! But I respect everyone that quits it.
I heard a good explanation - millennials are now busy parents and gen Z are on tiktok. So streaming on twitch is TOUGH cause there’s no audience
oh shit I didn't think about that
I always click on your video when it pops up in notifs, so I was surprised that no one clicked on your previous video...

this is SO true. the amount of games being released on steam is toxic

yeah it doesn't count lurkers
Hang in there, it takes a while. Took me almost 6 months back in 2017 when I did it. Play games that aren’t super Saturated.
Twitch doesnt count views from raids. So if your buddy raids your channel. Ask the viewers to refresh their page so twitch counts them as viewers.

Copyright needs to go, how are you suppose to make money as a content creator if you can't even record a video and adding a water mark
