Did you had to upgrade the master cylinder or the booster? I own f22 and thinking about doing the same upgrade, I know models with M sport, such as M240i are using different parts.
Hello, I have a question about this. I have a 2010 325d e91, engine code N57d30a. If I were to install the Brembo 4-piston brake. Could the main brake cylinder handle this type of brake? Thank you in advance for the answers.
Hello, I have put on 370mm in the front bolt on. Now i need to put the back on (345mm). When I ask around, people say that I need the bushings/inserts for the calipers but also ”rear rotor spacer kit (5mm) + spigot rings. I can see that you dont use those?
Had exactly the same problem with TOTALLED and RUSTED bold holding the disc on both sides. Ended up by grinding in a notch for a bigest flat bit i got and then slowly beat it out with impact...
It would be nice to fit e90 M3 360mm rotors. It will fit under 18" wheels, better cooling design vs 370mm rotors. F80 M3 would require 19" inch wheels.
Hey bro quick question, I got new rotors for my e90 they fit but the break callipers can’t fit on because the rotors are vented and too thick.Any ideas what I could do ?
One more question, did to remove the filter which is inside of brake reservoir before you put the device which pressurized the system? I could not manage to remove this f**** filter...
Brilliant video and well edited. I have just finished doing this on my E82 a couple of days ago, So when I saw your hardline come free from the brake hose I cursed you to hell and back(had to replace both mine and what a ball ache that was). Although I guess the stuck disc retaining bolt gave you your share of ball ache, I think I would of just changed the bearing when you snapped the trx bit.
I will change my discs, pads, and brake lines (the front only with OE ones). One question dos I need to start from the RR first, or can I start with the front one when I bleed them?
I have a 320i with the smaller rear brake shoe size, could you help me how I can make the handbrake usable with this f chassis brake? or what else should I replace it with?
I’m on almost the same journey by weird chance. Bought an E90 330i a week ago and have similar plans. I’m confused about the brakes, as I saw someone saying you needed brackets for the fronts but clearly not! Also the bigger rear discs is unusual, are our cars likely to be the same or are there variations of different handbrake shoe sizes? And lastly, where did you get the rear eccentric washers? Cheers and good luck with the rest of it.
