Just before the British Empire was said to decline, the British celebrated the Golden Jubilee, on 20 and 21 June 1887, in honor of Queen Victoria's 50 years of rule over the Empire. All empires fall.
You guys are a reason why I visit this channel. Very objective and smart analyses of geopolitics. The decline of the US empire is permanent because none of the successive administrations after Biden shall be compelled to double down on these imperialistic policy practices, instead of using any soft power. That is a catalyst for these other centers of power to come together, build counter strategies that will eventually bring the empire to its knees.
Clinton, Bush, Obama and Trump Administrations, all have supported aggression. The appearance of any change from attempts to exploit Asia, seem to dominate US Policy decisions.
The US empire's decline? Yes, that's unavoidable. But reinventing the US as a nonhegemon that is a country with a high standard of living is difficult but possible.
Our government will never allow that to happen. Maybe if we had assistance from other countries we could pull it off, but I suspect these monsters will start a nuclear war long before we get a chance to change anything.
Everything starts at the prevailing world view - aka philosophy. The first type copies the way of animals - aggression by a brute force. The second respects the ordeal imposed on human species by nature, which is to survive only by production. That requires innovation, sharing of knowledge and division of labor, none of which is possible without individual freedom and collective peace. America, going in the steps of the Ancient Rome, has now reached the same dead end - nothing left in the world around to steal profitably. Can it avoid the same collapse? No, bcs it cannot change its philosophy of death to that of life.

Agreed. US foreign policy is its own worst enemy. It's strengthening the countries we want to weaken, and weakening those we want to strengthen.
