I have no clue how this popped up into my feed but I sure am grateful it did. Amidst a sea of rebel propagandists, it’s refreshing to hear a true patriot.
Minor nitpick, but the Jedi Temple guards weren't promoted from knights, instead, many Jedi would rotate in and out of the Temple Guard role regularly as part of their duties to the order, it wasn't really a permanent position.
What's your source for it not being a permanent position? According to Disney canon it was a position filled by Jedi knights selected to jon the order, according to Legends it was Knights and Sentinels. No mention in either about it being a temporary position.
@@functionatthejunction Hmmmm. You have a point. I remember hearing it in a Geetsly's video, I'll leave a link to it. ruclips.net/video/n0kDB4Hs1VI/видео.html Aside from that I actually can't find any direct sources. Just people saying the same information with no real originating source. It's possible they may have some book from either Canon or Legends that they referenced to gain that information from, but I'm not sure. I certainly like the idea more as it makes the position more of a responsibility that most, if not all, Knights would undertake to protect the Order, and would also likely help them grow and learn as Jedi.
Actually they were promoted from Sentinels. They didn’t rotate in and out. The Jedi Temple Guard were Jedi sentinels deemed elite enough to Guard the temples. They had their own hallways, training centers and barracks. They were a permanent position.
Only had one error, though not sure if Disney did this the EU did and that was Coruscant was renamed Imperial Centre by his Imperial Majesty. Long live the Empire.
I love my palace thank you Officer for making these videos and educating the Empire. I would most certainly love to promote you when I get the chance. Also your in trouble with the ISB
Sorry Emperor we at the ISB are rather busy trying to put down an open rebellion that you have created. Right now we don’t have anyone available to deal with this officer. However I can assure you that we will look into the matter after we’ve delt with the far larger and more significant threat of the rebellion
Incorrect, the High Council Chamber was located in the High Council Tower on the southwestern side of the Jedi Temple surrounding the Temple Spire which hosted the Pinnacle Room. The Emperor transformed the High Council Chamber into an office. The Emperor's throne room was located in the Temple Spire (centre spire).
I could've sworn that Palpatine kept the Jedi Archives, mostly intact but highly restricted, since he wanted to scour them for any Sith texts and artifacts that the Jedi had collected over the last 1,000 years.
I prefer legends where Palpatine builds a palace somewhere else and just leaves the Jedi temple to fall into ruin. You know, the giant sprawling complex that we see at the end of Attack of the Clones?
Really wish they would show prequel locations on film after the fall of the empire. Plus I really want to see what the Jedi temple looks like post empire in film.
And remember only 5% of Imperial Palace is sticking out from Coruscant surface 95% of that goes into depth of the planet. There rumours that there are secret pathways from palace to real surface of the planet. So yeah 95% of it is under surface.
You may get in trouble with the ISB but you may and the empire may get in more trouble with the galactic federation which I’m not going into full detail on since not much has been seen of them in my story series I’m working on…….. I can give you a full if you want at any point………. Just ask I guess…………
Meh, under the Coruscant Guard, place is spectacular, wish I could see more, but 1/3rd of the darn place is blocked off, sure for security reasons yes but still.
Sorry but in the true canon, Palpatine NEVER turned the Jedi Temple into the palace. At all. In ANY WAY. The REAL Imperial Palace was located in what was known as the Palace of the Republic, the tallest building in Coruscant. And considering how he's an egomaniac, Palpatine would naturally turn the Palace of the Republic into the Imperial Palace. The Jedi Temple itself was left in ruins with some of the rooms being used as offices by the Inquisitors for a time until the New Jedi Order reclaimed it following it's rebuilding and the fragmentation of the Galactic Empire in 11 ABY
Eh, the base framework of the Empire wasn't bad, at least pre-Yavin when it was still basically a Roman system. The problems stemmed from _who_ was in power, and the policies they put into place. And while the Empire did introduce a whole bunch of new issues, it also did fix a lot of the issues the Republic had. Still, Vader should have ousted Palpy _long_ ago.

Same 💯😂

I think the grand inquistors backstory leads to people thinking that temple Guards were 24/7 guards instead of being knights or another temple job

I love how hilariously petty Palpatine is. Long live the Empire!
Maybe building the Jedi temple on top of a former Sith temple wasn't the best idea...
I thought it was just a spot strong in the dark side, not actually an ancient sith temple proper.
Only had one error, though not sure if Disney did this the EU did and that was Coruscant was renamed Imperial Centre by his Imperial Majesty. Long live the Empire.

@@functionatthejunction The EU.
wow this is interesting information of the imperial palace, i always wondered what it looks like from the inside.
So glad i found this gem of a channel. Gonna binge watch all week!

I see thank you
That part where Palpatine’s eyes are fading through the image looked like that scene in that long legs horror movie with the glowing eyes
This video was so good! You deserve more views.
Long live The Galactic Republic! (just had to get that one out now I can enjoy the video)
Great suit and great channel. Subscribed. May the 4th be with you 💫
Those who disappoint Palpatine receive "... an electrifying response!" 😅
Also nice to see a fellow Star Wars fan from Scotland!
5:32 - bro really called Palps an "old dried up raisin in a towel" 😭😭😭
you deserve more views, the video is magnificent
How to get executed...

I mean *that jedi temple* used to be a ancient sith temple. Palpatine has the right to use it as a sith lord palace.
Based!
Wasn't there some darkside... place underneath the Jedi temple? What did the Jedi do to that place? What did Palpatine do to that place?
Yeah, infact Papa Palps would often sneak in to worship at the alter of the Sith shrine. Unbeknownst to the stupid dogmatic Jedi.
Great vid, new subscriber, keep this going mate.
A Scot who loves the Empire and could pass as a young Sean Connery… immediate sub 😂💯
Suggestion: More costumes! :D great video
Just made me realize how much I wish they'd have shown live action temple guards in the new order 66 scenes. Still not one in sight in live action
You got one thing wrong, the main central tower was not where the Jedi council was located it was in one of the smaller towers
Long Live The Empire!
I could've sworn that Palpatine kept the Jedi Archives, mostly intact but highly restricted, since he wanted to scour them for any Sith texts and artifacts that the Jedi had collected over the last 1,000 years.
Party time at Palpatine's.
I'd like to think the Jedi archives were not destroyed but were preserved for the most part That is until the emperor's death in return of the Jedi

Unfortunately, we only get a brief glimpse of it in the Coruscant celebration scene in ROTJ, but it looked intact and even still had the lights on. 😎👍
But my question is... where's Papa Sheev's Galactic Cuisine? (That's a "Dark Side of the Sauce" reference)
I told Palpatine that the style is uninspired... his resulting anger... it was shocking
My Emperor: right or wrong.

Even as the Imperial Palace, the place still has a restricted section.
