I admire why he sang it. But it was barely even a bit of the original song. He mutilated it
That's strange, I have never heard the song before and I loved the way Brian sang it.! But, I do understand what you mean. When Whitney Houston came out with her version of Dolly Parton " I will always love you" I thought she multiliated the song, but after a while I learned to appreciate the fact that both versions were unique. And now, I love each version on it's on merit's. It is truly like listening to a different song when either artist sings it. I will listen to Lady Gaga's version, and try to appreciate her artistic expression of the lyrics, no matter if I think Brian's version could not possibly be outdone.
