    You forgot about Jimmy Means being the owner/driver of the 52 throughout most of the 80's and early 90's. Didn't win but helped out a lot of guys getting their first ever starts and helped fill out fields in the late 80's and early 90's when entry lists were short.

    Here are a couple of honorable mentions for the 60's:

    68-Bobby Hamilton 1991 Rookie of the Year

  • @saltbombcreations8336
    @saltbombcreations8336 Год назад +3

    The 68 has 0 wins, 2 poles, 10 top 5s, 56 top 10s, 170 DNFs, and competed in 397 races. Bob Derrington has the most starts in the number with 71 of his 80 career starts from 1964-66 and led 1 lap in his career at Bridgehampton. The first to drive was I think either Dell Pearson or Barney Smith in 1951 at the Daytona Beach and Road Course. The last to drive the number was Anthony Lazzaro at the Glen in 2001. Many honorable mentions include Derrike Cope from 1988-89, Tiny Lund in ‘63, Bobby Hamilton from 1990-92, and the highest finishing woman in the cup series in the modern era in 6th (Danica is tied with her as well), Janet Guthrie from 1976-78, who also is the first female driver to race in both the Indy 500 and the Daytona 500
    The 69 has no wins, 5 top 5s, 1 pole, 20 top 10s, and 46 DNFs in 103 races. Johnny Allen has the most starts in the number with 26 in ‘60, ‘61, and ‘63, his best finish in the car was 2nd in 1960 at Atlanta. First to drive was Joe Merola at the Atrocious Circle (My nickname for Langhorne) in 1949 and the last to drive was Denny Wilson at the Glen in 1992. Honorable Mentions include Volney Schulze in ‘54, ‘55, ‘57, and ‘58 with 12 starts and LeeRoy Yarbrough in 1963 with 2 starts
    And the last number in the 60’s I got is the 65 where in 94 races, no wins, no poles, 1 top 5, and 9 top 10s.
    Tommy Coates was the first to drive the number at Langhorne in 1950, the last to drive the number was Dan Pardus in Duel 2 at Daytona in 2000, and the guy with the most start is Carl Adams at 19. Honorable Mentions include Lennie Pond in ‘70 with one start and Buck Baker with 2 starts, 1 in ‘72 and the other in ’73

    Also I should state that honestly Rick Ware Racing only really had the 15 and 51 cars. In my eyes the 52, 53, and 54 cars were basically just field fillers piloted by drivers looking for a way into cup
