I don't understand the gun attached to the ladder. Apparently there's no camera at the top of the ladder, and no controls either. So somebody has to go up there to look, and then scream directions down again. Why?
I had the opportunity to see Canada a year after 911 I was a volunteer ff from the USA. Got to visit Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal got to visit fire station in each city and they gave me a shirt from each city. They told me that they respected me for being a volunteer ff. Wanted to see Quebec city but the weather was not good also heard that they really don't think highly of Americans but It was what I heard from a few people in Montreal. But Hopefully no one was hurt in that fire.
William Patterson you heard right but please don’t feel slighted because most French Quebecers don’t think highly of English speaking Canadians either.
I feel for the people that work there. Be careful walking around there for the ice. Thank you for trying to get us close. Let’s hope All of their trucks will be ok. Thanks again.
Thanks for the video. I got to stay warm listening to it on the scanner because I knew you'd be there! I imagine you'll have video of the other 2 10-14?
I actually might be getting some footage of the St-Hubert / Villeray one. I know there was another one this morning in Montreal and another last night in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu but not sure if these last two were indeed 10-14.
Afraid this is not a good advert for the Canadian Fire Services. 20 mins in on your great coverage and tower has not even been deployed. The firefighters seem to be enjoying the experience. Firefighter still has to get his harness on!!!!!! Time for some real training!!!! Noted the fire was almost out BEFORE they even got this piece of equipment connected up!! Just dreadful. Well done the other ladder team - effective attack. (Did they ever get that fancy extending tower operational???
I and some other viewer think they have water flow problems. Do you can't use every hydrant in 100 Meter radius around then the most came spend water from the same pipe. So do you need water from different lines. Specially a fire same this needs many water. It is not good spend all around water then the water flow gone fast away. But a city with these conditions and limits should know it!
I live 309 miles from the Canadian border. The school I went to made us learn Spanish. I still don't know how to speak Spanish, French language would have been more fitting since area proximity..... Anyhow cool video thanks for your time to record these events.
I didn't go to school in the Dallas area and also graduated in 1961. I understand the Spanish they teach in school is proper Spanish not Mexican Spanish. So you take it, learn it and still can't go to Mexico and talk to them correctly. You can get by with what you know but that's it.

Nuts. I stumbled all the way through the description before seeing the English translation following. At least I confirmed that my ability to read French is pretty good.
The guy who owns the business was sued by a US porn star for illegal copying of his videos. From what info I could find, the owner of this Kaytel Media Distribution place is not the same as K-tel.
Doesn't look like there is anything to save so let it burn and maybe it will melt some of that darn snow. I have never seen mountains of snow like that before. Our news said last week in the Dallas area there hasn't been measurable snow for the last five years and I hope we keep it that way.
Grey Jay prior to access you escaped the cage via an 'Everest' controlled descent safety device. The turntable was rotated by hand cranking over a safe spot and you descended using the Everest device. There was a harness at each end so it could be used as many times as necessary to evacuate the cage. However, in this case I believe you are mistaken. There is a ladder affixed to all of the books on the right hand side. You can clearly see it at 14:16.
Interesting that there are not a ton of cops shooing civilian onlookers away it's the FF! This is where camera folks need to fly a drone in above everything from blocks away! Hover up high over tree height away from the flames and zoom in! Seen a fire buff do that in New Jersey!
I don't know but that's never stopped me from offering an opinion. it looked to me like there was a problem establishing a water supply, even the first truck was not spraying water until 10 minutes into the video. Further, I don't know the temperature, but it is obviously cold, that could play into it as well. Great video. Thank you for posting.
@@keithmcfaul9204 Hmmm ... a country how have snow around 12 months in a year. At this part of the country for sure from October till Eastern I think. Should I then not use technical things e.g. heated pipes, extra water trucks, warm water used, and so on after I know that could happend? In Europe we use under street hydrants in city only. Some have installed a heating for the system after they know we have cold winter here sometimes too. Or a pipe system near the far steam power system what some cities use. At our german railways we use heating on railway switches too. And we have crazy winters here in Germany, EU. Last january was the warmest since 1885 or so.
Thank you first for show a longer video as 10 min. Second that you not put tons of ad inside. Thirth that do you show more as one static side with 80% only smoke. Long video of 58:25 - unpayable =》only 4k guy! 😂
Thought I was looking at american firefighters. Seems as though they all attend the same school, lots of people lots of appliances and nothing getting done. London is going the same way.
Who was the guy in the blue hat yelling at people? The Police usually do that here. That way the Firefighters can uh... fight the fire? Great video until you got pushed away though. A++ 👍
Was going to say Canada and no snow on the roads and then it showed up. 1/2 inch or 12mm of snow will shut down Memphis TN for at least 2 days. 1 in or 25mm of snow will shut it down for 4 days. God help us when it really does snow. We get more ice storms than snow and thats even worse. Now back to the movie.
I have not even begun to watch the video because I wanted to thank you so much for having the back story in English, also. Too many of these types of videos either from Russia or Germany or any other foreign country you want to pick shows the video only in the language of origin. Why not put it in English and have 4 times or 8 times the subscribers. I just don't understand that. Thank you again.
initially I thought they were insulting everyone's intelligence by attempting to pass off this completely fake as fake footage off as a real . though I don't think that's what's happening - the description even says 'At 6h pm last night SIM firemen engaged in' - this is SIM style, movie 'stock footage' I would say - just with an entirely misleading title

Amazing coverage of this catastrophic fire!!! Thank you for sharing!!

Good quality pics. Thanks for sharing. Be safe. Zippo makes a great hand warmer for calls like this.
Can not tell what burning, and why so long to put on water was everything frozen in?

Excellent video, I wonder if that's the same Kaytel that produced those albums back in the 70s and 80s

Fact : It snows 364 days out of a year in Montreal. They dont have a summer, fall or spring just winter. Amazing.
Lolll
we do have a summer lol
Did they rebuild? Great video 👌
So very sad. It’s like the great soul u find in beautiful places diied

He could just dive into a snowbank, lol.

Merci beaucoup...
I've never seen an engine with that configuration before
Snails pace setting up that tower. After getting water the tower is still on the ground.
Great footage xx
Problem one for firefighters: just what is in those trucks. Is it kids toys or is it propane?
You got all the angles, nice job.
So... this is what fighting a fire from a truck graveyard looks like. At -20below zero !! No thanks.
Good luck , gents. All the best. From MAINE USA
Great video..new subscriber 👍🏻
Thanks

Très belle vidéo
The fire will be out by the time they get that snorkel in operation.

@@davebones6120 I agree. I did think the hydrants could have been froze due to the cold temperatures.

After the run, the cold are you paid for videoing fires?
Yes

Great Videos .Nice !!!

Thought I was looking at american firefighters. Seems as though they all attend the same school, lots of people lots of appliances and nothing getting done. London is going the same way.
After watching this lot I can confirm the Americans are no longer the slowest Fire Watchers on the planet. Maybe they were trying to keep warm ???
Do they pay these guys????
Yes

Someone should give the firemen some coffee and tell them take it easy.
Fire goes out itself before they get this damn ladder up...
Come back in the morning. No difference in what you end up saving. A 1/2 hr to get the snorkel truck ready to fight. Why bother!
Muy lentos y tranquilos los bomberos no ??

Great effort 4K guy. It would help if a pro ff would comment on how it was fought, to clear things up for us armchair viewers.
Вот еще не увидел тоже фуфло сейчас увидим.
That is a bring the wieners we're probably are gonna get hungry on this call type of fire.
they should operate a helicopter water bomber it can put that fire out or maintain it...Australia does it its cool to watch.
Well use them very rarely other than for bush fires
Too bad there's no way to throw all that white stuff on the fire.
水がない?はしご車として失格ですね。
firemens are very calm , don,t speed , joke , kidding , peoples are in danger and they are make a fire party , after 16 minutes begonnen ,
Insurance job, second time the place catches fire in only a few months.
Hay stop running your going to fall
