Turned 41 yesterday. Got a diagnosis for bursitis in my hip last week, early menopause. This song feels like an ode to me and my hubby. If he was awake right now...

@@aegaeon117 If you don't see a point, then you shouldn't do it. I would like another chance at finding a partner. My marriage ended due to no fault of the other, no acrimony, just life changes. I had pet turtles (tortoises in my case) for years, and tortoise sex is just so sad and pathetic. She isn't really Gen X my dude. She was born in the last 9 months of Gen X, she grew up like the oldest cohort of Millennials. Kate is a year younger than her, do you think she is a different generation?
@@Nick-hi9gx Generations are arbitrary anyway, and don't really have definitive start and end times. So the transition is always a broad and fuzzy line. Hence the talk of "Xennials" and "zillennials," which I despise on a visceral level for no reason.

Truly a love song close to my heart. I've had to use a sleep apnea machine since I was in my 20s, so I guess I was middle aged before middle age was cool. 😀
I honestly don't know if I've ever heard a song before where in the first sentence I get everything The song is about and fall in love with it. This is my middle-aged anthem.
This is so spot on. And, Riki's voice is so mellow and simultaneously brilliant in tone. I'd much rather go to a Riki Lindhome concert than see Taylor Swift.
My brain went BSOD for a moment while I tried to picture how one could have LP on vinyl, since that's audio only and LP videos are pretty worhless without the visuals...
I am 10 years younger than Riki. That difference was comforting once, specifically when the Garfunkel and Oates song 29/31 came out. It is now terrifying.
I am so glad I exist in a universe where Riki Lindhome is still making music! Also, FWIW, you'll never be as old as me, kiddo. I got a whole 5 years on ya!
Man Fred Armisen can really can play any role, first he played a middle aged lesbian bookshop owner for 9 seasons and killed it. Now he's playing a middle aged former member of a two piece comedy duo that helped youtube become what it is today called Garfunkel and Oates. AND HE DOES A CAMEO INSIDE OF THE SAME VIDEO??? Inception level comedy right there. How does he not have an Oscar???

But I still overall loved it because of your realness! To truly love someone is to love their imperfections. I guess I should love mine.
The most accurate song about sex while aging that has ever been made. I'll have to remember that colonoscopy trick.
It's the new loophole.
I can't believe a song that uses "Let's Fuck" 20 times can actually be....wholesome.
"I'm an Adult Now" -- The Pursuit of Happiness 🇨🇦

Goodness Riki 😊
I'll be 40 in less than 5 years, so I guess I'll look forward to this when I'm 40. Lol

Baited by curiosity, stayed for honesty. This song has something for everyone.
Comedy aside, this is actually, genuinely, a pretty sweet and wholesome song
especially the last line
Yup. My partner sent it to me at work. After laughing so hard, I pulled a muscle, I actually teared up a bit and called them to say, "I love you too."
Love how she drops this after "don't google mommy"
I mean, obviously Don't Google Mommy is there to ensure she can keep turning out this kind of content :D
I thought the same thing! 😂 "Don't Google Mommy....because she's not stopping for you!" 😅
At this point she likely thinks that it really can't get much worse, so she might as well have fun with it.
Knowing that it’s her husband on the sax adds another layer to this
I dinna realize they were married

Honestly I think this is the sweetest Riki Lindhome song I've ever heard.
Can we please appreciate the big guy dancing so emphatically!
Yes! He was awesome!
Just making the "Don't Google Mommy" minefield bigger and bigger for the kids, haha.

The 'i just dont want to' is the realest part. You don't always have to be all the way down to clown; taking it easy is good too
Everyone groaning and complaining about their body aches after the dance is the perfect comedic touch!
All of them quietly in agony trying to pretend they're not hurting would've been trutful and funnier tho.
I felt those groans.

Especially at the end, when they're all writhing on the floor and groaning... in pain.

the saddest most relatable incredibly hilarious song I've ever heard.
She is a really good singer and very funny. I also like the white silk pajamas they look nice, comfortable, and cooling.
