Matty D has always been a great driver just hasn't had the right equipment. And he's always been an amazing short track racer. He deserves a top ride.
SHR needs to kick Suarez to the curb and put Matt D. in some good equipment. Suarez is nothing more than Danica without tits. Waste of good equipment. Same for Clint B. He’s sitting up in prime equipment and tearing cars up almost as fast as Sticky Outhouse Jr. in the #17.
The same was said of Truex Jr, and we saw how that turned out when he finally got a proper ride. Except now his ego needs to go away.
Add: Man, if I was DiB', I would have done a celebratory mini burnout for that run. Get a lil' extra attention at the end for a stellar performance.
CMDR Boom Truex had great equipment in the past. His girlfriend was fighting for her life with cancer for a long time which kept him understandably off his best game.
I am from Seattle, Washington, never have seen a NASCAR race until now, and I was truly moved by the fact that a prayer would be said at such a large sporting event.

I was at the race and I loved all 500 laps of it was to celebrate my 50th birthday a few days after the race
Newman screwed Matty D. Classless act on the behalf of Newman. All the other drivers got out the way of Hamilin and Matty D.
Even though its a very short track, there cars are still able to put down a respectable level of speed! Love these machines man!

Erik Jones easily had the best long run car toward the end of the race. He made a mistake which is a shame because he had the race won. Erik next time won’t allow that to happen, he is the man at Bristol.

My biggest issue with Newman is he races everyone hard and then when it happens to him he's the whiniest one and first to complain. . I think the argument was, he's close to the cut line and needed to stay on the lead lap... Really? Screwed Matty D out of a win ffs.

Kaleb Lanoue I agree with you completely, my only issue was how he was making a lot of contact with Matty D when he’s literally almost a lap down, if ur about to be passed by the leader it’s ok to race hard and try to stay on the lead lap but banging into the leader is a whole different thing.

Wayne Swicegood Your not wrong but Matt has always ran good if his equipment let him and more times than not he was overachieving with his other teams. But like you said most everyone else once they find out they are loosing there ride they finally start getting serious

Ok, i am French and I was looking for "typical" US sports. I tried football 🏈 I didn't really liked it. I tried NASCAR, I really enjoyed it, I already like GT race, and nascar was in my head a bad racing sport. I was wrong, it is all about pit strategy and I enjoy it. I understand some people thinks its boring I do thought that was before I watched this race.
Remember back when the stands here would be packed, and tickets were hard to get.
Hell, remember when there was 43 cars in the field? They can't even fill the field anymore.
I remember when you couldn’t get tickets. It sold out 2 years ahead. It’s not all NASCAR’S fault either.

This was still a better crowd than last year's. It was nearly 100K people.

I respect Newman, I'm bummed that Matt lost, but let's not bad mouth too much, denny was faster, came from 2 laps down. Obviously deserved the win after what he was able to do... That's a real driver. Newman is Newman hes been around for a while and probably ain't going anywhere unless.... Matt d. In #6, How's that sound?

Can someone explain to me why the 11 cars team was mad when they he left the pit then the 10 car caused a caution right after
mainly because they didnt think it thru, since hed just been to pit road he could stay out when all the other cars had to come in for tires, putting him in a good position. normally it would have left him a lap down with little chance to get the lap back for a long time

I'm new to nascar, and so far my only question is that why is it that sometines people will pass on the top, and other times on the bottom even when they are going the same speed.
sometimes you get some extra speed by being on the top, other times the bottom gives you better traction which gives you better speed. why does it change? its all about where you can get the best traction, how well is your car handling and where. i know it dont make sense, it just how it works

The bottom gives more speed on the entry because you enter the corner more straight, but the exit is slower because of the angle. The top is usually slower in the entry, but because of the bigger radius, and the better angle for the exit, you can accelerate faster of the corner.
Usually when the tires are fresh, the grip is high enough for turning fast on the bottom, but when the tires get older, its difficult to hold the bottom. With less grip the top tends to get better because your turning "less".
And of course the botton is the shorter way around, but the corners have a progressive banking, so that the bottom is shorter but slower, while the top is longer but faster.
