It's just Maude is the manager of one of the office. When player buys the business, she retires and transfers the management to you.

For those complaining about the timeline, it’s quite simple. Back in 2013 Maude said she was retiring, but she never said WHEN she was retiring. It’s entirely plausible it’s taken her 11 years to do it.

Events of GTA 5 are not fixed in 2013. Could be early 2000s. Anyways there’s no real story consistency between storymode and online DLCs. Anyways, Jeanette could be from a prior marriage, already alive when Trevor hunted bounties - if we really want to make the lore work.
In fairness, they have smart phones. So it can’t really be TOO early 2000s
@@Grogzu no, the events of GTA V are 2013, if you look it up the game starts in 2004 in the EPILOGUE, and When you get to Franklin you are in "Present day" Los Santos, IE 2013, then you get to online which takes place between 2013, and ages all the way up to now, which is 2024/2025, at least to when GTA VI takes place, but, yes, there is absolutely continuity between the MAIN DLC's and story, they're just years apart, because Michael, Trevor, and Franklin(to an extent) have retired from criminal gain, and are pretty much living out their latter years in Relative comfort.

I like Maude, she reminds me of the people I knew back when I lived in a small town. Simple, easygoing, the same kind of people who would rather sit on the front porch and watch the day go by and chat about all sorts of stuff.
The last gta dlc in my opinion should be a dlc where all three characters come together to help your character and at the end rob a bank or something as the original heist need 4 players you would be able to do it all by yourself with the help of all three characters

Maude is that women you can't really relate to or really have a conversation with but you would do anything to make sure they are alright.
Maude is more laid back and chilled, one of my favorite in GTA 5 character and her daughter Jenette is like a cool energetic best friend that is hard to find in real life.
