We should be involved in politics. If we aren't, then not only will the living conditions in this country get worse and worse (except for the elites), but we will also loose the ability to legally talk to people about God and make disciples. This is something that we will have to answer to God for when we stand before Him. I'm not saying that we won't be saved, but God will certainly be disappointed with us.
I'm also for a small government. We need to not rely on them.

    So So So Good !
I believe ! Christian principles / policies are a great compass for All !
It took me until into my
Adulthood having children out of wedlock, living for the world and not God , yet believing in God , falling into SO many valleys and having to crawl back out alone to get this !
But ! God never gave up on me !
Now I try to lead friends who are where I was for far to long , to a closer relationship with God , now . A Real Relationship, the Only one that matters !
It’s made my world smaller , but that’s ok (most days ) . Not all days are easy .
God is the only compass and all he commands counts !

I agree with the passion prompting this statement but the Bible hasn't made me a perfect person. We need the word of God but lack of that word isn't why the world is screwed up. The thing to remember is that nobody was an atheist until the mid-1800s. So of course the Bible is present in Enlightenment thinking. However, that does not mean that the founding fathers were Christians in the way that Evangelicals experience Christianity.

    Lawsuits among Believers
6 If any of you has a legal dispute against another, do you dare go to court before the unrighteous,[a] and not before the saints? 2 Or don’t you know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest cases? 3 Don’t you know that we will judge angels-not to mention ordinary matters? 4 So if you have cases pertaining to this life, do you select those[b] who have no standing in the church to judge? 5 I say this to your shame! Can it be that there is not one wise person among you who is able to arbitrate between his brothers? 6 Instead, believer[c] goes to court against believer, and that before unbelievers!
7 Therefore, to have legal disputes against one another is already a moral failure for you. Why not rather put up with injustice? Why not rather be cheated? 8 Instead, you act unjustly and cheat-and you do this to believers! 9 Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be deceived: No sexually immoral people, idolaters, adulterers, or anyone practicing homosexuality,[d] 10 no thieves, greedy people, drunkards, verbally abusive people, or swindlers will inherit God’s kingdom. 11 And some of you used to be like this. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

There is no conservative party. This is the second podcast I really like that has referred to a "conservative party.". The Republican party leans conservative but it is not "the conservative party."
This is just a question, not sure what's the answer. Let's say Christians won't vote for a candidate other than 0 abortion, no exception, and that leads to candidates winning who are no limits on abortion. These candidates are also more likely to be in favor of all sorts of government infringement on religious and personal freedoms. Probably more likely to be Marxist. Isn't voting for no exceptions like a vote for no limits because there's no way no exceptions are going to win?
Another question, can we be a Christian country without persecuting non-Christians? Should only Christians get to run for public office or vote? I'm confused a bit by this podcast episode and Alisa Childers on a similar subject. It sounds like those who do not hold to a Biblical worldwide should not be running for office. Or are you just saying Christians should not vote for those who do not have a Biblical world view? I know the Constitution was written with protecting those of various denominational differences and there were even deists who were founders, but what happens when you introduce other world religions? I think the constitution is still good today and gives the framework to have an effective government in a pluralistic society.

Awesome video! In answer to the question you posed at the end, absolutely, yes, Christianity is the best way to live for all people without exception. His plans are to prosper us (see Jer. 29:11). Christ came so we may have life and have it more fully. (see John 10:10). We all live in a world designed by God and are subject to the principles of nature that are designed by God. Failure to believe in Him does not eradicate even the temporal consequences of living lifestyles that are out of harmony with the reality that God has created. He also designed us all to desire fellowship with Him, a desire that can not be fulfilled in any other way. So, absolutely, yes, we all need Jesus and are all best off with Him.

The Guilt of the Gentile World
18 For God’s wrath is revealed from heaven against all godlessness and unrighteousness of people who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth, 19 since what can be known[o] about God is evident among them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen since the creation of the world, being understood through what He has made. As a result, people are without excuse. 21 For though they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God or show gratitude. Instead, their thinking became nonsense, and their senseless minds were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man, birds, four-footed animals, and reptiles.
24 Therefore God delivered them over in the cravings of their hearts to sexual impurity, so that their bodies were degraded among themselves. 25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served something created instead of the Creator, who is praised forever. Amen.
    From Idolatry to Depravity
26 This is why God delivered them over to degrading passions. For even their females exchanged natural sexual relations[p] for unnatural ones. 27 The males in the same way also left natural relations[q] with females and were inflamed in their lust for one another. Males committed shameless acts with males and received in their own persons[r] the appropriate penalty of their error.
28 And because they did not think it worthwhile to acknowledge God, God delivered them over to a worthless mind to do what is morally wrong. 29 They are filled with all unrighteousness,[s] evil, greed, and wickedness. They are full of envy, murder, quarrels, deceit, and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, arrogant, proud, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving,[t] and unmerciful. 32 Although they know full well God’s just sentence-that those who practice such things deserve to die[u]-they not only do them, but even applaud[v] others who practice them.

No that wasn't the purpose of that event. Trump's position has been that country's should not kill gay people. If we're going to look at Republicans and gay marriage start with the Bush-Cheney ticket. Bush was the first president to my knowledge who appointed a homosexual cabinet member. Dick Cheney pushed for gays in the military (lesbian daughter)
They had an opportunity to legally protect the sanctity of marriage and deliberately chose not to do it---all by design. Then McCain and Romney came along, both in favor of same sex marriage...you get the point.

    The Yoke of Babylon
27 At the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah[a] son of Josiah, king of Judah, this word came to Jeremiah from the Lord:[b] 2 “This is what the Lord said to me: Make chains and yoke bars for yourself and put them on your neck. 3 Send word to the king of Edom, the king of Moab, the king of the Ammonites, the king of Tyre, and the king of Sidon through messengers who are coming to Zedekiah king of Judah in Jerusalem. 4 Command them to go to their masters, saying: This is what the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: This is what you must say to your masters: 5 By My great strength and outstretched arm, I made the earth, and the people, and animals on the face of the earth. I give it to anyone I please.[c] 6 So now I have placed all these lands under the authority of My servant Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon. I have even given him the wild animals to serve him. 7 All nations will serve him, his son, and his grandson until the time for his own land comes, and then many nations and great kings will enslave him.
8 “As for the nation or kingdom that does not serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and does not place its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation I will punish by sword, famine, and plague”-this is the Lord’s declaration-“until through him I have destroyed it. 9 But as for you, do not listen to your prophets, diviners, dreamers, fortune-tellers, or sorcerers who say to you, ‘Don’t serve the king of Babylon!’ 10 for they prophesy a lie to you so that you will be removed from your land. I will banish you, and you will perish. 11 But as for the nation that will put its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon and serve him, I will leave it in its own land, and that nation will cultivate[d] it and reside in it.” This is the Lord’s declaration.

I don't think it's that churches just suddenly decided not to teach political philosophy. In order to maintain 501c3 status (tax exempt), an organization must avoid political affiliation. Most churches won't get anywhere near politics because they don't want to give the IRS the opportunity to revoke their 501c3.

When it tried to steal the 2020 election and supports the man who tried to overthrow a duly elected President by stoking the violence that led to murders, trauma, and suicides at the Capitol?
