Thank you SO much for the comment about the wheelchair accessibility!!! That is something that is super important for me and now I want to visit Singapore even more knowing I'd be able to get around when I wouldn't be able to walk.
I saw ramps and elevators in pretty much every public space. Seems like Singapore had accessibility in mind when designing every public space and I wouldn’t be surprised if there are accessibility requirements for all buildings here
@tuesday_again Here in Singapore, our trains (MRT) and buses are wheelchair-friendly too. Even overhead pedestrian crossings have lifts for the elderly and disabled.
We do have the governing authority on making building codes that are accessible, last reviewed in 2019. There is also - “A regulatory code to ensure buildings are inclusive and accessible is being reviewed, with a draft for public consultation targeted to be released by the end of 2024.”
@VisitSingapore More @TravelWithNala and no more Nas Daily please. These guys are super wholesome and I wish them safe travels and i hope to see them back in SG again ❤
You are by far our fave travel videos, like people we'd be friends with IRL! I've been lucky to go to SG many times for work but never able to convince my bf to make a trip together. You finally convinced him of its awesomeness! AND I learned things for my next trip. Thank you!
At different times of the year, the lower level of the Flower Dome would feature thematic displays to suit the different seasons or festivals, like Christmas, Chinese New Year, cherry blossoms or tulips. So the display of plants, flowers and ornaments changes throughout the year.
Every Sat, Sun, and Mon, the magical Borealis northern lights show illuminates Gardens by the Bay. It’s a breathtaking experience and a must-see when you’re next in town!
A lovely couple and glad both of you enjoyed Singapore. Very well presented and got engrossed that I overshot by two MRT stops haha. Interesting to know what visitors like you two think and do here. Thank you and all the best!
@@TravelWithNala if you're here for a while, it might be worth checking out our Singapore Zoo, Night safari, River safari & Bird Paradise. (although its impossible that you'd be able to visit them all in 1 day). Our zoo is unique in the sense that the animals are displayed in naturalistic, 'open' exhibits with hidden barriers, moats, and glass. Would highly recommend Bird Paradise as well since it's very new (shifted from the old park) and there are "enclosures" that are kind of just high fitted nets (to keep birds from flying out) but you can walk around the whole area and feed the beautiful coloured birds! best penguin display too.

Orchids have one of the biggest varieties of all flowers. All the ones you saw were real, from the huge to the tiny. The weird thread looking things was the root system. If you ever get an orchid, don't cut them off! They live in/on some trees and very poor terrain. If you look at the potting soil it is pretty much bark and rocks. Read up on caring for them before buying. They are pricey! BTW I am a Californian but the top end in Mendocino, redwoods, and of course, ocean. Very different from city life although I was in San Francisco for 5 years.
Cool! We actually always had orchids around the house when we were living in LA but we never saw this kind of diversity especially the huge size of some of these! I didn’t catch most of it on camera but it was pretty amazing
Lau Pa Sat it is worth a visit at night for dinner and supper. They will stop traffic on 1 street and you get to experience 'Street' Dinning literally. People usually go there for beer and local skewers called Satay. Marinated Meat on a stick.
@@TravelWithNala Cool! You should check out Ann Siang Hill, Keong Saik Road, Dutton and Everton Park all walking distance from Chinatown. You get to see 3-4 generations of cool looking real life public housing side by side. You will not see such things elsewhere in the world
A less known fact, other than the water collection from the supertrees, is the water from Marina Barrage, which is south of the gardens. Marina Barrage not only provide water treatment turning the reservoir of water at Marina Bay into drinkable water - if you look at the location, it also connects to a set of 9 crest gates - between the reservoir and the sea. It also provide desalinated water, which all combined to serve water for the area around it.
How did you leave Nala at home for the trip? Did you use a sitter or boarding place to take care of her? Looks so fun and beautiful! Hope to visit soon too
I hear that from a lot of people that they’re eventually planning to move back to where they came from before of the cost of living. They live in Singapore a while for work and then move back
34:50 in Vietnam...it would be hella noisy 😅 Some Vietnamese locals were embarrassed by their compatriots because they were talking so loud and people around were looking and point them
If Singapore is to expensive for you then you should focus on making more money. The problem isn't Singapore being expensive, its your ability to make money so thay you can afford Singapore. When you make alot of money, everything becomes cheap.

Supertrees not only collect solar power but also rainwater which is used for the gardens!

David, is this the best season to visit Singapore, weather-wise?
People told us that it’s rainy season so I don’t think so. But it barely rained while we were there. We got lucky for sure
Singapore is expensive in South East Asia. Would you consider living in Singapore than Vietnam ?? Danang better than Singapore city
Pros and cons to every place. I love that I can easily fly back and forth between Vietnam and Singapore. I get to experience the best of both worlds
