    That’s why the grandmother married off all her daughters early.Because her husband was a predator.

      The grandma knew what her husband was and she was trying to protect her girls as best she could without speaking bad about the family because it sounds like he’s touched all his daughters in someway, probably which indicated that she had to kind of speed up her daughters at the house, but it was too late for the fourth child, the baby of the family as they say because it obviously went too far if she actually has a child, which is proof that he did more than touch add Jubilee some of the other children might’ve known what their daddy was but they didn’t know how to deal with him. It’s actually a wonder they didn’t give away her granddaughter. Just to make sure he didn’t screw up with the third generation basically Just to protect her as best they could, but I am glad to hear that apparently he didn’t do what he did to his other children

Her grandma handled the situation the same way it was handled when her own offenses came. There was no "Me too" movement to protect her. She did as she was told for her own survival. A woman in those days with eight kids and no means was gonna go where? I'm glad this woman gets to do the healing her grandma wasn't provided the privilege of doing. It happened in my family

    • @MsAchampion
      @MsAchampion 5 месяцев назад

      @@ColetteGibbs-x9r Mine too. It was said that my uncle had fooled around with my female cousins, which was his own daughters. We lived with my aunt and uncle when I was 12. My mother had already warned me about how he was. At 13 years old my uncle tried to kiss me and touched one of my breast. I quickly pushed his hand away and then he slapped my face. 😢 I was hurt because up until then I'd never seen thst side of him and thought that he must care enough about me not to try me like that. I immediately went to tell my mother. She was very upset about it, but she didn't make much of a fuss because we lived with my Aunt and uncle. We moved out into our own place not long from then because I remember that I was still 13 when we moved. My big cousin whom I loved so dearly had two sons and she would be at my aunt's house during the day and would ask her father, my uncle to give her a ride home during the early evening. I used to wonder why she didn't just want to stay longer. One day he was gonna take her home, she asked me if I'd ride with them to take her and her children home. Ofcourse I said yes because I loved my big cuz! On the way back from dropping her and her children off my uncle said to me that he could be my boyfriend and that he could buy me school clothes and nobody else would have to know about it. After saying that to 13 year old me, he reached out to touch my chest and I smacked his hand away and I told him to stop it! I said your married to my Auntie, you can't have a girlfriend, and I'm 13, I can't have a boyfriend! He got upset because I refused to let him touch me. I couldn't wait to get back and tell my mother. I told my mom this time and she told her friend whom I referred to as my play momma Helen. Ms Helen knew about everything dealing with my uncle and she vowed to converse with him the very next time he came to our apartment. When he came by there one day she asked if she could speak with him. My mother was in momma Helen's apartment as well when my uncle was present. Momma Helen got straight to the business of straightening him out and she told him if you Ever touch her again your gonna have to answer to me and then she slapped his face! My mother was there to witness it all. He never tried that anymore with me after that, but I would always see him staring at other women and young girls like a hungry wolf! In spite of everything I still loved my uncle because he did help me a lot by driving my mother to take care of some things and then getting me to important places after I had a daughter. I always loved to be at their house because my Auntie was so funny, and she had rules and structure in her house, and also food which wasn't something that we always had at our place. 😔 My uncle had been in the Army and he had mental health issues with that and he'd frequently stop taking his medication and go off on my aunt and had to be put into the V.A. hospital. When he took his meds he was fun to be around and we would just laugh and talk to one another all night and day.

    Such a heavy burden for Trina to carry (and for her mom as well)-then to be shunned by family and labeled the black sheep, wow. Beautiful survivor and overcomer! Blessings💜

    I’m glad she told her story. I pray more victims speak. The continuation of keeping secrets helps the perpetrators AND those who were complacent (like the grandmother). They depend on the silence of victims!!!
