I'm an Australian and a massive massive Ramones fan, it's not too big here, so around two years ago when the shirt designs first came out I lost my shit. I couldn't believe their design was put on shirts. Then everyone was wearing it... I feel ashamed that I own a maroon Ramones shirt (at least I can add "before it was cool"). I disagree with its inclusion on mainstreams shirts almost as much as I cant stand Nirvana stuff on shirts. Those symbols are supposed to mean something and I'm pretty sure it is offensive to Kurt Cobain for the symbols to be sold commercially, as well as no one knows what type of music the Ramones seem to play. Most people say punk but it's soft punk at best - not the post hardcore they probably listen to which is shallow....
i still have mine, about 20 years old. i don’t wear them anymore because even brats who don’t t know who the Ramones were wear them. last time i asked one of my students he thought they were a Spanish band, but he was not sure. WTF

Joey is, without a doubt, the most underrated singer in the history of music. His voice sounds haunting and beautiful in this song.

When he sings "Oh, not again" at the end it's truly poignant. Black Francis from the Pixies once likened Ramones to Roy Orbison (!!!) because of the pathos in their songs.

I guess what makes this band so special is that they were one of the bands that started this whole rock n roll movement back in the day that would lead to more decades of rock to come. Same for Ramones, what makes this band so special is they gave start to punk rock inspiring many other great punk rock bands and so on...
The beatles are so overrated because they have something that almost anyone can listen to, whether its sad, happy, peaceful, or just what a drug abuser wants, its pretty much all there. They were the first band worldwide to use international sounds, and just overall the unconventional use of object to make bizarre sounds that would otherwise be unachievable. Believe it im no real beatles fan, but theres been so few bands ever to do what they did.

I love this song and its minor-key strangeness, it has a sort of tragic lilt to it. A beautiful melody, amazing vocal delivery by Joey. In-between the sorta goofy B-movie/haunted funhouse vibe of the lyrics in the verses, that chorus just strikes a deeper, and truly mournful, feeling for some reason. It's almost existential. I love it.
Even as a campy jump scare movie flick tune, this song....It's perfect. The melody, the lyrics, Joey's vocals. All of it is haunting and perfect.

Not really, I already know it'll fucking suck!! Every modern remake ALWAYS sucks!! The movie industry doesnt even try anymore!! They're just remaking every single movie that was ever good in the past & doing insanely terrible at it too!! It just ends up ruing what was so great about the original! An the nostalgia of it ends up being completely lost. Some movies should NEVER be remade, Just leave them alone, let them stay the way they are & let them remain the classic films they were before being ruined by making shitty remakes! Stephen King is not even around for it, so you know it's gonna suck!!

I am SO incredibly lucky to have seen The Ramones live & with the original line up too!!! I saw them at a music festival in the early 90's in which they were not even announced as being on the lineup!! To everyone's surprise, A dj from the radio station throwing the music festival came out and announced there would be a mystery guest, Then suddenly The Ramones walked onto the stage!! I was in shock & it ended up being one the best festivals I ever attended! The very next year at the same festival we were surprised with another mystery guest who turned out to be Run DMC!! An it was all three original members!! Jam master Jay was still alive at this point obviously!!
