My dad got one in April in Tungsten color with 18” Milton rims and it’s an awesome daily driver. You can pack it up for 3 people for 10 days. And in terms of fuel economy, you can even go as low as 6.5l / 100 km.
Yo that’s good tho 6.5l/100km is incredible for a petrol car with this power
I never get any lower then 10l / 100km but that might be my driving style😂

Nobody oh man! Love it! I will get mine in metallic black I think. Will be at least 2-3 years tho since my golf 7 gte still works perfectly.

@@Taunus_Trustfund I own one in the Black paint, so hard to keep it clean... But I love this car. If I could do It again I'd go for réd or Grey even if I prefer Black and White ;)
It's my daily driver. I love it. The exhaust is too silent, but the intake makes a beautiful noise.
Get an aftermarket axle back exhaust, just a subtle amount of extra noise :)
This have one of paddle shifters on the steering because I can’t quite make it out.

@@TheV8Pumpkin thanks for the inspiration, dude. I didn't read your comment earlier, sorry. I've got a stage 2 and removed middle silencer now. Am living in Germany and the TÜV is quite.... errrm "annoying" . But I'm happy with the solution and it sounds unique, but not too loud. 🏁

I love this car (and VW in general) but I wish they would make the GTIs exterior more aggressive looking.
Its the whole point of GTI not to look to agressive. A GTI is a legitimate everyday driver, it doenst look like some cheap ass plastic need for speed premature hotwheel car like for example the Ford ST models or even worse the Civic Type R. Just the right amount of sporty details it has in my opinion. Painted Brakes, slightly lowered, tastefull body accents and a nice exhaust note that isnt to loud or raspy.
@@lobster8009 my point is I personally would like to see a bit more aggressive look. I'm not disputing what their intent is.

@@dnceeee 4 month that I have one, and I totally agree for the exhaust, however it's also suppose to be a daily car and driving in town with loud exhaust only gets you problems with cops nowadays... And when you push the throttle, the sound is really good :)
@@adavisseau1 im glad you like your car ! That is very true! Im fine with the exhaust too but sometimes i want to have a bit more but it is not a MUST HAVE.
i can own one but i don’t deal with petrol cars :( here in my country the petrol is quite pricier so i have a Golf 7 r line diesel

I've recently drive mk.7 with manual and without performance pack and it was a bit underwhelming. I hope I can't get my hands on DSG performance so I can see if it's any different

Like BMW, Volkswagen underrates their power claims. It must be a German thing to rate hp at the wheels but label it crank hp. I’m okay with that.
210 hp is closer to 237 hp
220 hp is closer to 247 hp
245 hp is closer to 270 hp

Mikey Nope. In the Video you can see the gti Performance which has 245hp. There is also a non performance gti with 230hp.
With NA gas quality, it's probably even worse...
Here in Europa there's no more new 220-230 GTI to buy, the only choice we have today is the 245 GTI performance with the facelift

The European model has higher HP and the digital dash which some people love. Although it is a bit more expensive than the NA models.
Guanqiao Wang this is the new MK7.5, so it’s the mid year facelift in Europe, in NA we are still stuck with MK7

ayman kady It's just a part of the logo. Very unfortunate, but it really is. I'm from Slovakia, where Škoda was originally produced as we were a part of Austria Hungary and later Československo. Trust me, it's really just RS badge. You can check out any website of Škoda (which actually means unfortunately, when translated)😃 have a great day
